Unfortunately the teacher and the class are using V-ray while I’m using Arnold, very difficult to keep up and try to find a way to do what they do without V-ray, I used two types of lighting in the spotlights to give it a glow, I still don’t know how to use the material slate which I think would be a game changer in the future but for now I stuck to free materials I found online. My laptop fans got so loud that I thought it’ll explode when I was rendering, and I tried adding another material to the rug to make it look flat but the laptop CPU just froze.

Any tips and suggestions?

The Red Palace was built in the 1950s by King Fahad, to host many political figures and presidents throughout the years, it was one of the first buildings that got built using reinforced concrete in Riyadh.

It got revived as a luxury hotel with 45 suites, 25 rooms, 9 ballrooms, and 4 high end restaurants.

If you hadn’t noticed, it was named the red palace because it has a reddish color.

The complex is made of multiple towers. Included a museum, a hospital, observation decks, prayer rooms, hotels, restaurants, shops, and many other amenities.

Many people hated that a historical ottoman fort was demolished for the complex but the pilgrims numbers kept increasing annually reaching over a million, hospitals, hotels, public transportation, and streets were under severe pressure that mass amenities needed to be built.

As someone who went to Mecca recently, it’s pretty nice to actually walk around on foot in that area, idk what material was used for flooring but it was nicely cold under the sun heat, it was nice to just finish the Umra and to head on foot to the complex and just grab food and stay the night there.

The one thing that I dislike is the shade of green used for the clock, it’s just so glaring, maybe it’s to help drivers navigate at night or something idk, other than that it was pretty nice to see in person.

Also I do get a weird sensation from big buildings, Megaphobia or what’s it called? I don’t whether that contributed to my spirituality at that time or what
