Headache and migraines after new prescription

So unfortunately I hadn’t updated my prescription in a while (7 years) and my prescription changed a lot. I got new glasses and they gave me a headache after a few minutes.

I actually returned them and got new ones, in case it was an error. But the new ones are the same way. It’s just a stronger prescription and my eyes are really struggling to adjust.

Yesterday I wore them for 30 minutes and got a migraine, I took them off and took some Nurtec and felt a lot better.

Today I tried just wearing them for as long as I could to try to adjust my eyes. I drove 45 minutes to work and as soon as I parked, the worst pain hit me and I felt so dizzy and disoriented.

I went into work and I started getting nauseous and my eyes hurt. Unfortunately I switched back to my old glasses. The pain instantly started going away and now I just have a dull headache.

How am I supposed to switch to these new glasses? Just push through and be miserable? I’m worried about driving home with a migraine.

Has anyone else been through this?

Massive stone but I can’t get it out

I’ve tried gargling warm water, using my throat and tongue to push it out, and I’ve dug around with a Qtip many times.

I can push some of my tonsils aside and see the whole thing, but as soon as I start to get in there with a Qtip it refuses to budge.

I only have one working elbow at the moment, my right elbow can’t bend all the way so it’s impossible to use both hands to get it out.

Are there any other tricks to get it out? I’m so tired of feeling it every time I swallow 😫

Anyone else told they weren’t a candidate for surgery?

Have had hip pain for 8 years, MRA confirmed a labral tear with fraying, Xray showed mild dysplasia.

No impingement. Steroid injection confirmed pain was coming from the hip joint.

I have pain with sitting too long, walking for more than 20 minutes, and clicking with certain movements. Also can’t lay on the affected side.

I went to a hip preservation specialist and he reviewed everything, and told me surgery wasn’t a good option.

He said the dysplasia is too mild to correct, the tear is too degraded to repair, and at most he could debride everything but he didn’t think it would be worth it. He wants me to do 9 months of PT (this is after 3 months of PT already). He recommended follow up with a different ortho.

I just feel so defeated. It took me months of seeing his PA, going to PT, getting tests and injections done.

I guess I should feel happy and lucky that I don’t need surgery, but I’m still stuck with this hip pain.

Has anyone actually had success with only doing PT for treatment?

Anyone know what the LCAS presale code is for the Allentown Fairgrounds?

Trying to buy tickets to a show and wondering what LCAS even is or how you get a presale code from them? Can’t find any info on the website or socials about it

Intermittent fasting -> OMAD -> extended fasting

Has anyone tried this method? Is it easier to slowly reduce your meals or just go all in and start fasting as long as you can handle it?

I’m 30, 5’7, female, and 286 pounds.

I recently cut out breakfast and started fasting until 12pm. I’m considering switching to OMAD and only eating dinner, then switching to OMAD and fasting every other day.

I have a lot of weight to lose and my wedding is in 1 year. I would love to drop the weight in a healthy way before the wedding. I have a hip injury and an elbow injury which makes working out difficult, I do try to walk as much as I can though.

I wanted to do OMAD and fasting so I can still take my vitamins every other day, most of them say to take with food. I’m taking a multivitamin, vitamin D, vitamin b12, and magnesium for a vitamin D and b12 deficiency.

How do I convince myself to shower and wash my curly hair more often?? 😫

I’m really really struggling with this. Undiagnosed and no meds.

It’s such a chore to wash my hair and I just ignore it until my scalp is so itchy it’s hard to ignore. I usually end up washing it every 7-9ish days.

When I wash it every 3 days I feel sooo much better, but it’s such a hard thing for me to stick to.

I have curly hair so the whole process takes me 45 minutes-1 hour.

I have to detangle (I brush it dry because it takes wayyy longer to detangle it wet in the shower, and detangling takes a while because it gets so tangled). This is where I face the most frustration towards myself. I know that if I wash my hair more often, I’ll spend less time detangling and it’ll be less painful.

Then I shampoo twice, because I usually have a lot of build up and grease on my scalp. Then conditioner, wash my body, wash my face, rinse my hair. Then I partially dry my hair with a microfiber towel, apply gel, and clip it out of my face to dry.

I also have an elbow injury so I’ve been doing this with one arm for the past few months 😫

My work schedule is 6:30am-5/6pm M,T,Th,F. So I have Wednesdays off but I’m always super busy with errands, doctor appointments, and physical therapy. After work I have about 2 hours to make dinner, eat, talk to my fiance, and get ready for bed since I wake up at 5am (I have a 45 minute commute).

I cut my hair whenever I’m too overstimulated by it, but I’m trying to grow it out for our wedding next year.

I love taking baths but unfortunately all we have is a tiny stand up shower in our apartment. I do have a waterproof speaker that I use to listen to music during my shower.

I always feel so much better once I wash my hair, but I have this huge mental block when it comes to actually doing it. Have you found anything to help you??

I was low in b12 and vitamin D. Started taking 4-5000 UI vit D and 2000 mcg b12 daily, along with cofactors. All in pill form.

My main symptom was paresthesia, little zap like sensations all over my body. It used to happen multiple times a day, every day. Now those symptoms have been about 50-60% better.

Just not sure if I should continue on the same dose or not. This was a fasting blood test about 17 hours after my dose.

I had a dream that I was outside taking pictures of the sunset. It starts to get dark outside and I decide to go in, then I see a huge moose walking down the road. I gasp and the moose turns towards me and starts running at me.

I run inside and close the door, and lock it. The moose slams into the door but it’s standing upright and looks like an evil jacked (muscles) kangaroo. I can see it through the window of the door and I’m terrified. It starts banging and I grab my dog and run down the hall to the bedroom.

I go in the room and lock the door, lay on the bed where my husband is sleeping. I hear banging like the door is going to break. I try to wake up my husband but then I wake up and the dream is over.

I fall back asleep and have another dream. I’m in a kitchen with my husband and family. I keep trying to tell them about the dream with the moose, but my husband keeps interrupting me. I get frustrated and go into the other room.

2 days ago my husband told me about a dream he had. We were both sitting in chairs in a field. The field was filled with chairs but we were the only ones there. My husband sees a bright light and looks at the moon, which is reflecting brightly. He tries to get me to look at the moon, but I don’t look. He tries again and I start to laugh.

I’m wondering if my dreams are related to what he dreamt about?

I have a confirmed labral tear without impingement, but I don’t see the surgeon for my first appointment until next month.

I got a steroid injection a few weeks ago and have felt pretty good, my hip felt almost normal. I was excited about going on walks again 🙃

I don’t know what I did last night, but I woke up this morning in so much pain. My whole hip hurts, but mostly in the front part. I couldn’t go back to sleep, every position hurt more than the last.

I’m walking with a slight limp due to the pain, and of course I have plans today. I’m gonna take some ibuprofen once I eat breakfast.

Has anyone else woke up with awful hip pain?? Did it go away or just make everything worse?

I had what I thought was cubital tunnel, started almost 2 years ago. Recent ultrasound results were normal and MRI only showed golfers elbow.

I went to the surgeon today and he said my case is non-surgical, he said I need more PT and it will take at least 9 months to heal.

He also said I don’t need the brace at night anymore. This makes me nervous because the one time I tried to sleep without the brace, I woke up with pain, tingling, and numbness. But I’m also so tired of wearing it every night.

Would you stop wearing the brace if you received this news? I’m already planning on getting a second opinion.

Symptoms started over a year ago, woke up after sleeping with arm bent for several hours. Extreme pain, tingling and numbness that lasted for a few days. Have been struggling with symptoms ever since.

Few months ago went to an ortho and was diagnosed with cubital tunnel and golfers elbow. Got a cortisone shot and did 4 weeks of OT. Have worn a brace at night ever since symptoms started.

Went to an arm/hand surgeon who ordered an ultrasound and MRI.

MRI findings- common flexor tendinosis and strain of flexor carpi ulnaris muscle

Ultrasound- no thickening of ulnar nerve

I guess the golfers elbow is causing cubital symptoms? Has anyone else had findings like this?
