Experiences on consumer cellular?

Im looking at switching a family member from at&t to cc 1 gig plan. Will there be a noticeable difference in service ? They're a light user so it makes sense for them.

Question about signing up

Last summer I was interested in trying metro. I went online & entered all the info needed & my port never completed. The site said an error occurred & said I should call metro. I called & they weren't able to solve the issue & told me I needed to go to a store for help. I was able to get to a store & the worker was really nice & managed to get the port canceled. Im thinking about switching to metro from mint & am concerned Ill have issues again. Is there any reason my port in got screwed up? Also as a mint customer, am I disqualified from getting a free phone since tmo owns them?

Question about reusing ethernet cable

Last year we got our fios routers upgraded from the older gateway. They moved the router instalation to another room but kept the ethernet & coax hookups but the end of the ethernet cable is damaged. My desktop is no longer able to use a wired connection with the new setup & ive been having issues with getting the wifi to connect to it enough times recently it made me wish I could go wired. Could the old ethernet cable be replaced to allow for a moca adaptor? The ethernet cable starts in the wall so I can't just order a replacement.

Is this lacrosse good?

There's been a listing online for an 05 lacrosse 1sv for a couple weeks now with an asking price of 1k. It has 179k miles & a few prior owners. The listing says the engine & trans are good but steering is stiff. Is this worth looking at or are the problems a red flag?
