I wish Hawthorne sold or at least allowed armor focusing in raids (not a serious rant)

**Armor I myself am aiming to obtain the 4 piece on 2nd slide**

Disclaimer: its really not that deep, its mainly because I already have three pieces unlocked (so I am antsy) but wanted to just say my say - you know? Lol

So when I want to do dps/fun - I pull out my good ol' hazardous propulsion (basically you build up missiles that release on class ability - buffs rockets, missiles, etc). Came to find out that one of the new sets, especially on one of my favorite raids in the game, have made a set that actually synergies with the exotic! I already have the og set unlocked of course but they sadly don't have the set bonus by default.

Noticed that Hawthorne sells legacy armor from the raids but not the updated ones!

So my main point, I wish you could focus if not purchase (of course rng rolls) raid armor you unlocked! Similar to how Xur functions I guess or any vendor that gives armor? But I know I am saying this simply because I am close to obtaining the full set for my dream build lol

So besides this word vomit of a rant, how would people feel/how should have Bungie approach raid armor grind if given the opportunity?

PSA FOR TECSEC

Fill your engram inventory up with exotic engrams/eververse engrams - then run master lost sectors! Your drops will go to postmaster and you have a better chance for tecsec instead of grinding vanguard rep

Thoughts on the new Iron Banana armor?

I'll be honest.. I get my super back fast enough as is (which is due to playing into orbs/ability spam) - so I just don't see reason to wear a whole 4-set for 2 supers.. and because I have armor mods that give me weapon bonus (and shout out to the promise/moonbane 2 piece per set combo on my Warlock), im just not worried about the damage buff to *only* primaries.

I feel like that is a nice 2-piece for the people that build around their primary guns yet it only works for combatants, not guardians (which I am NOT complaining- that would be something a little nuts in PVP).

Also kind of funny that PVE armor is obtained through PVP lol - luckily I enjoy both modes! I already have the full set on my Warlock and Hunter, just need to finish Titan.

What do people think of this armor? Anyone grinding for it with a goal/idea in mind?

*BONUS: sorry for people that are missing out on the Iron Panoply set (apparently it will be fixed for NEXT IB)... I do recommend combing 2 piece of Bushido with 2 piece of Iron Panoply (when available), feels very nice for general survivability on my hunter in all content!*

Mask of Bakris but build HEAVILY into Arc and Stasis

Mask of Bakris is my favorite hunter exotic since it came out, especially with the buffs it recieved. I have ran it on pure stasis the longest, did pure arc a good amount of times, and even prismatic when The Final Shape released

But now with this final update, I think I want to use the Slayer Baron Apothecary Satchel (seasonal artifact - it specializes in Arc/Stasis/Void) and Prismatic to make an Arc and Stasis build for Mask of Bakris. I see potential but I may need suggestions or just a straight up build to bounce off of?

My weapons I have God rolls for is arc or stasis (my main exotic is Graviton Spike of course lol) - I feel like I can totally make a build but I am a bit lost in general unfortunately

Tablet of Ruin really is just one of a kind, yeah?

So I have already noticed that when I am at least making builds (and a few I have seen) - A good chunk of people like to utilize Tablet of Ruin! I feel like its one of the seasonal artifacts that the dev put some actual work into! Its great for ARC (if I remember right, bolt charge was introduced in season Heresy, one of the best seasons imo besides Season of the Witch). But it is definitely great with strand too!

What are people's favorite seasonal artifact?

Do people still mess with Heron / These perks sound good together?

Or should I aim for a different perk set?

u/oiyenaoyenme — 7 days ago

2 Piece of Dreambane and 2 Piece of Promised = I am having an EASY time lol

I only run this on my Arclock because I normally run a spam build (VERY nice with Tablet of Ruin), dumped my stats in Grenade, Melee, and Weapons to amplify the effects of the armor bonuses

I do use this on Prismatic Warlock (w/ necrotic grip) a few times just so I can use radiant and also

Also with armor mods that play into orbs that once pick up, give a bonus to weapon stat (i preferred weapon because I am already spamming abilities with Arclock)

I highly recommend! This set give damage resistant but its definitely just for damage in the end of the day (but having devour/radiant on Prismatic or heck - spam voidlock with overshields, devour, invisibility)

You have stats/armor set bonuses that play into damage, then build into healing (which I feel like its easier for Warlocks tbh).

I prefer my Arclock due to ability spam, bolt charges, amplified (harder to hit lol), arc buddy, and ionic sentry.

Anyone made/see a revamped Necrotic Grip build? Care to show me? 👋🥹

So my main class is Warlock since D1, I did make a character of each class all those years ago but yeah - I mainly play Warlock - SPECIFICALLY Arclock or Necrotic Grip Warlock! I wanted to see (due to all the updates), if anyone cooked any new builds or have seen any newer videos since the update?

I run Necrotic Grips preferably on Prismatic but I did dabble with it on Strand ofc.

Odd enough: Nerfing Ultron made me see less of 3 healers lol

At least from my personal experience, 3 healers does NOT equal push, we have tanks for that (despite duo tanks seeming like a unicorn nowadays lol) - the normal setup seems to be 2 healers and everyone is dps nowadays

I am often against 3 supports, so it was ironic that I saw less of it in my games since the ultron nerf? The nerf hasn't effected my playstyle honestly so I just now get Ultron more consistently then I used to but it wasn't exactly a fight to equip him either way lol

Now that its been a good while since the patch, how are fellow units holding up?

Also, anyone else noticing they are outperforming other healers, specifically Lunas and (not as much but still) White Foxes? Lunas in my games have been more dps then heals or straight up tell the team they are being dps Lunas. White Foxes aren't doing this as much in my games but I have noticing they haven't been healing AS much. Hopefully the devs don't detect this opinion and buff them lol

Jokes aside, I already made a post around the time the patch released with my thoughts but I still feel good on my stance - Ultron STILL feels good 👍

Has anyone combined the armor set bonuses of Reverie Dawn and Ferropotent?

EDIT: Call me a PSA for future crafters lol - you only get full value of this possibility in PVE, Reverie Dawn only works in PVE, NOT PVP sadly

Taking 2 pieces from both sets sounds intriguing - not game changing, but more of a tank like approach to survivability?

How can one even farm reverie dawn in the dreaming city? Is it the well?

How are we feeling about the new (armor set is called Bright) armor bonus' Circuit?

I almost have the full set as it sounds like a solid set (of course for Arc users, proud owner of Arclock over here) - but what caught my eye was the 2 piece bonus!

Has anyone tested to see if its viable?

For survivability- I usually use the Iron Banner's Iron Panoply 2 piece (Vigilant Watch: Weapon final blood while your shields are depleted heal you) and the 2 piece from Pinnacle set called Bushido (Iaido: Final blows freshly drawn or reloaded heal you)

But if the Competitive Sparrow Racing armor set bonus (armor is called Bright) - mainly for the 2 piece bonus - is viable, I can just switch one of my favorite bonuses out!

So to wrap this up, any thoughts?

Ultron nerf doesn't feel bad!

I wasn't too worried about the nerf as someone who has passed the lord stage, I had to play my main to make sure I wasn't in the wrong however!

My playstyle is overall:

Play mid/lower air or be in the mix of my team.

Uses boost to avoid attacks/counters like spiderman tag and uppercut, etc. Also for ULT and hooking around corners for finishers/hiding from damage.

Utilize firewall to finish off healing/help push higher end fights for point, etc.

So I am already close to teammates and I personally feel like I mastered drone mastery.

I definitely have noticed that when I am trying to save a teammate that thinks they are the main character and they solo so far - I have to be definitely closer to set drones. But usually I can just tell them to fall back or they come back (if not die already from their greed).

The firewall cooldown sucks but it isn't awful in my experience - I do use it rarely and sparingly! So it still feels manageable, it helps being a hitscan so its not like im going to charge up and try to push the enemy and be frontlining.

I still do great healing numbers with a range of 13k-20k!

Although I don't entirely understand for such a random nerf, we adapt! Im just glad they didn't touch our damage, being a hitscan is VERY helpful. I don't get my ULT as fast but its barely noticeable to me as I still get it pretty fast in my honest opinion.

To the solo ultrons, because yes they exist, stop flying so damn high - manage your drones (maybe play with the hero setting of switching the drone controls?) - play with your team, protect them because we are their aid.

Anyone have a dream build? It can be realistic or hypothetical!

Mine is revolved around the Mask of Bakris (my top favorite Hunter exotic) - but it leans HEAVILY into arc and stasis (so of course the graviton spike exotic hand cannon). I wish there was a viable build for it, maybe it is now due to the build crafting with newer armor bonuses and reworked abilities but I wouldn't know where to start!

Gangle's love for a tommy gun checks out if she canonically* likes fortnite lol

She even asked about the Shockwave hammer - I love to think shes scarily good at fortnite now lol

*: the asterisks is because I don't know if its cannon, especially since zooble's design looked like a variant from an earlier episode.

I still LOVE the dev team but why touch Ultron?

DISCLAIMER:

I am going to say this as an Ultron main, I do good healing and I push for being a 2nd healer rather then an offset in my teams - My healing rates are pretty good and I play more with my team rather then try to solo as Ultron (I see it more solo Ultrons try to be DPS then you would think, hes a good hitscan imo but its important to keep the team alive)

ACTUAL BODY OF THE POST:

I see that they balanced other supports and I personally think the balanced notes for Ultron are a bit blown out of proportion from the community YET I do also agree with the thought of "why even touch him?" - They get surprised when an off healer does their job well?

I know Luna mains get enough fingers pointed at them but her damage output is a bit crazy for a support while Ultron can be viable with his hitscan, why mess with his healing potential?

Its complexing as I see it as it lowering the chances of Ultrons playing more with their team, not trying to solo so HIGH in the air, and work on drone management. But with his base speed and now longer cooldown boost, having the drone placement radius be lower is already restrictive? I still love my most viable lorded character, still plan on using him too, but was the balance for Ultron truly needed (genuine question for the comments).

At least they did truly balance a good amount of characters that I have seen people speak about (Black Cat mains are not taking it well, their subreddit is a bit funny admittedly - sorry guys but you people will still be strong, don't worry lol)

New Bubble + Helm of Saint 14 + Edge of Action

NPA REPULSION REGULATOR: [Seasonal Artifact]

  1. Unto the breach
  2. Volatile Flow
  3. Suppressing Glaive
  4. Protective Breach
  5. Overload Grenades
  6. Supernova
  7. Void Weapon Channeling

SUPER: Ward of Dawn

ASPECTS:

  1. Unbreakable
  2. Offensive Bulwark

ABILITIES:

  1. Shield Throw
  2. Vortex Grenade

FRAGMENTS:

  1. Echo of Domineering
  2. Echo of Vigilance
  3. Echo of Starvation
  4. Echo of Expulsion
  5. Echo of Harvest

STAT PRIORITY: Grenade (mine is 135) and Weapon (mine is 140), cool if you up melee or super (I gain super pretty darn quick though and of course melee)

I literally had overshield SOOOO much so my abilities recharge was smooth. I felt like my void weapons were hitting like a truck, my bubble/helm combo gave more damage boosting. Felt like lore accurate saint lol

I might drop the exotic Glaive for Bastion at some point though 👀

Its kind of cool that our community is technically lore accurate because there are virtually infinite of Ultorn. One may die but there is far too many to comprehend.

All the other character communities cannot be as in-sync as us to be honest.
