Separate Movies And TV Tabs At The Bottom

I asked the other day about improving the library organisation. I was wondering if we could have two separate tabs at the bottom of the app, one for Movies and one for TV Shows, instead of having both together in the Watch tab.

I think this would make the library much easier to navigate,.

How Do I Change The Watched Date Setting For Movies?

I asked the other day about changing the setting so that when I mark a TV show as watched, I don't have to enter the date I watched it, and I managed to sort that out.

But I can't seem to find the same setting for movies. Is there a separate setting for movies, or am I missing something?

Could the Tracker show how many episodes you have left to watch?

I know it currently shows something like 33 / 38, but it would be useful to also see 5 episodes left without having to work it out yourself.

It would make it much easier to quickly see how much of a show you have left.

Add an option to skip individual episodes or whole seasons!

I know Sofa Time already has Ignore past unwatched episodes, which is useful because it lets you jump straight to the latest unwatched episode. But I think an actual Skip option would be better in some situations.

For example, if I start a show at Season 3, I could mark Seasons 1 and 2 as skipped rather than having them sitting there as unwatched. They wouldn't count as watched, but Sofa Time would know that I've chosen not to watch them.

It would also be useful for individual episodes, especially episodes I don't want to watch or have deliberately decided to skip.

Movie Paradise has this feature and I find it really useful. It would be great to see something similar in Sofa Time.

Sofa Time Custom Lists Missing After Trakt Re-Sync

I was having issues with Sofa Time syncing with Trakt, so I disconnected Sofa Time and Trakt, cleared my local data and uninstalled the app. I then reinstalled it, connected Sofa Time and Trakt again, and let everything finish syncing.

My Trakt data has come back, but the custom lists I created in Sofa Time are missing.

I thought these lists were backed up to Sofa Time's servers, so I expected them to come back after signing in and syncing again.

Are Sofa Time custom lists not backed up, or is there something I need to do to get them back?

I'm trying to move a show from Collecting Dust to Watch Next, but it isn't moving. I've selected Watch Next, but the show still stays in the Collecting Dust section. I've also tried marking episodes as watched, but it still stays in Collecting Dust. Is there something else I need to do to move it?

Can I export my Bingers data if I leave?

I'm thinking about moving from Trakt to Bingers because I really like how quick the app is and I like the old TV Time feel.

I used TV Time before Trakt, but I left because it became really slow and hard to use, so I moved everything over to Trakt.

My main worry about moving away from Trakt is what happens to my data if I ever leave Bingers.

Can you export your Bingers data, like watched history, watchlist, ratings and personal lists, as a file such as CSV or JSON?

I'm asking because if I move from Trakt and build up years of data in Bingers, I'd want to know I could get it back out and move it to another app or back to Trakt if I needed to.

After what happened with TV Time, I'm a bit wary of putting all my data into another app without knowing I can get it back out.

Does Bingers have an export or backup option, or is one planned?

Sofa Time – Feedback and Feature Requests

I am trying Sofa Time and Movie Paradise at the moment, and there are a few things Movie Paradise does really well that I'd love to see in Sofa Time. I think Sofa Time could be a great app, especially if the library organisation was improved.

To Watch

Could there be an option to hide Upcoming from the To Watch section? There's already a dedicated Calendar tab for upcoming releases, so having them in To Watch makes it feel quite cluttered.

Watchlist organisation

I'd really like to have all my TV shows in one Watchlist, but separated into collapsible sections based on their status:

  • Not Started
  • Up to Date
  • Haven't Watched for a While
  • On Hold / Paused
  • Dropped

Movie Paradise handles this really well. In Sofa Time, finding things like On Hold or Dropped currently takes several extra clicks, and it's not always obvious where to find them.

I can see that Sofa Time allows you to create filters, but once I've saved a filter I can't seem to find a way to actually use it. Am I missing something?

Next Episode

Could there be a setting to choose what happens when tapping Next Episode, including a Do Nothing option? I don't always want it to open the episode or the show.

Discover

Could Discover automatically hide films and shows that I've already watched, am currently watching, have saved to my Watchlist, or have added to one of my own lists?

I'd rather Discover mainly show me things I haven't already got in my library, rather than constantly showing films and shows I've already saved or watched.

It would also be useful to have an option to hide certain content using keyword filters, for things I'm not interested in seeing.

Black & White theme

I really like the Black & White (Dark) theme, but it's difficult to tell what's watched and what's unwatched because both appear white.

Could watched items use a slightly dimmer shade of white, or perhaps have a thicker/bolder tick, while keeping the same black-and-white look?

Overall

I really like Sofa Time and think it has a lot of potential. For me, the main thing holding it back is the way the library is organised.

Movie Paradise has made me realise how useful it is to have everything in one place but clearly separated by status. If Sofa Time could improve the Watchlist and make things like Not Started, Up to Date, On Hold and Dropped easier to find, it would make a big difference to how I use the app.

Thanks for continuing to improve the app.

Could there be an option to disable the rating/date popup when marking something as watched? I'd much prefer a simple one-tap option that immediately marks it as watched using today's date, without asking for a rating or watch date.

Will there be any sales on Movie Paradise?

I've been trying Movie Paradise and I'm really liking it. I'd prefer to buy the lifetime option rather than pay a subscription, but the current price is a bit expensive for me.

Does the developer ever run sales or offer discounts on the lifetime purchase? I'd be happy to wait for one if there might be one coming up.

Questions about Sofa Time lists, Trakt sync and backups

I've been using Showly for years and I'm very happy with it, but I've recently been trying Sofa Time and I really like the look and feel of it. I'm considering switching, so I have a few questions before I move everything over.

If I create lots of personal lists in Sofa Time, are they saved to my Sofa Time account and restored if I install the app again or on a new phone?

Is there a limit to how many personal lists I can create, or how many films and shows I can add to each list?

If I connect Sofa Time to Trakt, do my personal Sofa Time lists also sync with Trakt, or are they separate?

How often does Sofa Time sync with Trakt? Is it every time I make a change, at set intervals, or do I need to start the sync myself?

I also noticed the Automatic Backups feature. What exactly is included in an automatic backup? Does it include app settings as well as my films, shows, lists, ratings and notes? Where is the backup stored?

Thanks!

Where is my Bingers library data stored? What happens when I get a new phone?

Yesterday I uploaded my Trakt data to Bingers and everything worked fine.

Today, I uninstalled the app to test what would happen. After reinstalling it, I signed in again with my Google account and got the message:

“This only happens once. Your library lives on your phone, so Bingers opens instantly, even offline.”

Where is my data actually stored with Bingers? To me, this sounds like my whole library is stored only on my phone, but surely that can’t be right because what happens when you get a new phone, lose your phone, or reinstall the app?

Is the library also backed up somewhere, linked to my account, or is there an export/restore option?

Anyone Going To Lewis Capaldi Tomorrow Night?

We live in Alwoodley and are planning to drive as close as we can. I know a lot of the roads around Street Lane will be closed, so does anyone know of anywhere nearby that's good to park?

We're happy with a bit of a walk if needed.

Can't Stop Thinking About My Next Ruck! Anyone Else?

I've only been rucking for a couple of weeks, but I can't stop thinking about my next one. I've been lifting weights all of my life, but there's something about rucking that's really got me hooked.

I genuinely can't wait to get out tomorrow morning. I've even planned six different routes around my area, with each one a bit harder than the last.

Has anyone else been like this when they first started? Does this feeling last, or does it fade once the honeymoon stage is over?

Yomp Bag Fit, Weight Progression And Plate Position Questions.

I've just received my Yomp bag and have a few questions.

The 10 lb plate sits quite low on my back. I thought the weight was supposed to sit higher up, closer to your upper back. Is it normal for it to sit lower, or should it be higher? If it should be higher, should we really have to use towels or something similar to raise it? Surely that defeats the point of a bag that's designed for rucking plates.

I've also been rucking for a couple of weeks with an old rucksack carrying 5.75 kg. In that bag, the weight felt quite heavy. With the same 5.75 kg in the Yomp bag, it feels much lighter. Should I stick with 5.75 kg for now, or increase the weight because the bag carries it more comfortably?

Finally, how often would you increase the weight? I ruck every three days and was thinking of increasing it by 0.25 kg when it's time to move up.

For a bit of background, I've been lifting weights for around 30 years, so I'm strong, but I'm new to Rucking.

How Often Should I Ruck With My Current Training Schedule?

I’m new to rucking and was wondering how often you all get out.

At the moment I do a 3.9-mile loop around my neighbourhood that takes about an hour. I’m aiming to do that once or twice during the week, depending on family commitments. At the weekend I’ll definitely do a longer 7-mile ruck, and if I have the time, I might fit in another shorter one too the other day.

I also lift weights on a two-days-on, one-day-off split and have been training for around 30 years, so I’m pretty strong.

Does that sound like a sensible amount of rucking for a beginner, or am I risking overdoing it?
