Anyone Going To Lewis Capaldi Tomorrow Night?

We live in Alwoodley and are planning to drive as close as we can. I know a lot of the roads around Street Lane will be closed, so does anyone know of anywhere nearby that's good to park?

We're happy with a bit of a walk if needed.

Can't Stop Thinking About My Next Ruck! Anyone Else?

I've only been rucking for a couple of weeks, but I can't stop thinking about my next one. I've been lifting weights all of my life, but there's something about rucking that's really got me hooked.

I genuinely can't wait to get out tomorrow morning. I've even planned six different routes around my area, with each one a bit harder than the last.

Has anyone else been like this when they first started? Does this feeling last, or does it fade once the honeymoon stage is over?

Yomp Bag Fit, Weight Progression And Plate Position Questions.

I've just received my Yomp bag and have a few questions.

The 10 lb plate sits quite low on my back. I thought the weight was supposed to sit higher up, closer to your upper back. Is it normal for it to sit lower, or should it be higher? If it should be higher, should we really have to use towels or something similar to raise it? Surely that defeats the point of a bag that's designed for rucking plates.

I've also been rucking for a couple of weeks with an old rucksack carrying 5.75 kg. In that bag, the weight felt quite heavy. With the same 5.75 kg in the Yomp bag, it feels much lighter. Should I stick with 5.75 kg for now, or increase the weight because the bag carries it more comfortably?

Finally, how often would you increase the weight? I ruck every three days and was thinking of increasing it by 0.25 kg when it's time to move up.

For a bit of background, I've been lifting weights for around 30 years, so I'm strong, but I'm new to Rucking.

How Often Should I Ruck With My Current Training Schedule?

I’m new to rucking and was wondering how often you all get out.

At the moment I do a 3.9-mile loop around my neighbourhood that takes about an hour. I’m aiming to do that once or twice during the week, depending on family commitments. At the weekend I’ll definitely do a longer 7-mile ruck, and if I have the time, I might fit in another shorter one too the other day.

I also lift weights on a two-days-on, one-day-off split and have been training for around 30 years, so I’m pretty strong.

Does that sound like a sensible amount of rucking for a beginner, or am I risking overdoing it?

Do Third-Party Ruck Plates Fit The YOMP Bag Properly?

I'm thinking of getting the YOMP bag and I've noticed that plates from companies like Mirafit and Yes4All are quite a bit cheaper than buying the YOMP plates.

Has anyone tried using third-party ruck plates in a YOMP bag?

Do they fit properly, or are the dimensions different enough that they move around or don't sit correctly in the plate pockets?

Also, does using non-YOMP plates affect comfort or how the weight is distributed compared to the official YOMP plates?

Thanks.

Rucking in the UK — Do I Need Special Plates & Which Bag Should I Buy?

I've been lifting weights for 30 years and recently started doing an hour walk around my block a few times a week. I'm thinking about getting into rucking but I'm not sure which bag to buy.

When I've watched videos on YouTube, a lot of people seem to be using special rucking plates. I've got a garage gym with plenty of normal weight plates already, so I don't really want to buy more weights just for rucking.

Can you use standard round weight plates in a rucking bag, or do you really need the special plates?

Also, which bags would you recommend? I'm based in the UK and ideally don't want to spend a fortune.

Fitbit Air Not Staying Synced

Does anyone know why my Fitbit Air sometimes shows as not synced in the Connections section of the Fitbit app?

About once or twice a week I'll go into Connections and see that it isn't synced, so I have to sync it again.

Should it stay synced all the time, or is it normal for it to lose sync occasionally?

Following Up on My Spotify to YouTube Music Question From a Few Days Ago

I’ve been using Spotify for years and built up a pretty large music library over time. I’ve spent a lot of time organising playlists, sorting artists, and keeping everything in order.

I use things like playlist folders, artist blocking, hiding songs, crossfade, and being able to see what playlists a song is in. I rely on that quite a lot when managing my music.

I’m now trying YouTube Music and it feels very different. It’s faster, and I do like it for discovering older house bootlegs, mashups, rare remixes, Pete Tong mixes and things like that which I don’t always find on Spotify. The mixes and discovery side also feels strong.

But the library side feels less structured and not as focused on organising your own collection in the same way.

So I’m trying to understand how people actually manage their music on YouTube Music long term if they came from Spotify and used those kinds of tools.

How do you organise a large library with YouTube Music?

YouTube Music Playlist Transfer Not Showing After TuneMyMusic Import, any ideas?

I’ve used TuneMyMusic inside YouTube Music to transfer playlists from Spotify to YouTube Music, but none of them are appearing in my library after the import.

I’m on the correct account and everything looks set up properly, but the playlists just aren’t showing in the app or library.

Has anyone had this happen or know what might cause it?

Thanks

Why Did You Leave Spotify For YouTube Music And Stay?

I've been with Spotify for about 11 years and, overall, I really like it. Lately though, I've been tempted to switch to YouTube Music, mainly because of ad-free YouTube and access to older house bootlegs, mashups and other tracks that aren't always available on Spotify.

The things I'd miss most are crossfade, playlist folders and artist blocking. I've blocked thousands of artists over the years, so that's a feature I use a lot.

I've tried YouTube Music a few times in the past, but I always seem to end up back on Spotify.

For those who switched from Spotify to YouTube Music and stuck with it, what made you leave Spotify, and what convinced you to stay with YouTube Music instead? What do you prefer about it, and is there anything you still miss from Spotify?
