The Incredible Story of Betty Robinson

Betty Robinson was an American runner who became the first woman to win an Olympic gold medal in track and field at the 1928 Amsterdam Games. She was just 16 years old and had been discovered only months earlier when a teacher saw her sprinting to catch a train.
In 1931, at the peak of her success, Betty survived a horrific plane crash. The first person to find her actually thought she was dead and took her straight to an undertaker.
She survived, but her injuries were severe:
A fractured skull
A broken leg and crushed hip
One leg left shorter than the other
Doctors said she might never walk again. Because her hip wouldn't fully bend anymore, she could no longer crouch down into the starting blocks for individual races.
Instead of quitting, Betty realized she could still run standing up. She trained for years and made the US Olympic team for the 1936 Berlin Olympics to run the 4x100-meter relay.
Against all odds, the US team won, earning Betty her second Olympic Gold Medal and completing one of the greatest comebacks in sports history.
Betty retired at 24. She kept both medals in a candy box in her closet. Never displayed them. Rarely talked about it.

One of the original GUerrillaGrrrrls: Nancy Sinatra
"Sinatra, a self-proclaimed feminist, ensured that her music reflected her ideals. During a session where Hazelwood auditioned songs for Sinatra, she was particularly struck by ‘These Boots Are Made For Walkin’, knowing she could put an empowering spin on the rather chauvinistic track. In an interview with Los Angeles magazine, Sinatra explained: “I particularly liked a song he played that only had two verses, and I asked him if he could write a third verse. He said, ‘It’s not really a girl’s song. I sing it myself onstage.’ I told him that coming from a guy it was harsh and abusive, but was perfect for a little girl to sing. He agreed”.
The song was a monumental hit, also cementing Sinatra as a fashion icon in the process. To this day, the mention of go-go boots and swinging sixties fashion instantly brings the image of Sinatra to mind. She said: “The fact that [the song] has been embraced by generation after generation of little girls is proof of its staying power. I was the lucky one to record it and I think the fashion helped it along. Girls always want a pair of boots.”
[Broken?] 3000W Inverter plugged into mains beeps and cuts out when 750W PSU pulls from it under load
All that's plugged in is a PC and monitor, and tonight I played a particularly demanding game so I guess the PC was pulling max wattage from it's power supply unity (PSU).
After only a few minutes I heard beeping I didn't recognize as I'd never heard it before, then a minute later my PC and monitor shut down.
I worked out that the beeping had been coming from the 3000W inverter which is plugged into mains electricity, and the total load was definitely under 1000W.
The only reason I got the inverter was so I could have it as back-up power (I also have a battery but it wasn't connected) source like a big UPS and it seems it can't handle my PC under heavy load.
I thought it might have been some weird one off thing, so rebooted and tried to run the game again, and this time the beeping started much faster, even though I'd played the same game, set up the same way on the same equipment last night without problems.
Anyone have any ideas why all of a sudden the inverter would start beeping and cutting out when the PC puts maybe 600W draw maximum on it?
Like I said, I played that game for maybe an hour just fine yesterday, tried today and first time the inverter cut out after about 5mins, second time the beeping started after less than a minute and I just quit the game.
What could possibly be the cause there, and is there anything I can do about it?
Right now it's running fine, but it's not under a gaming load and when I tried a different game it was also fine but that wasn't stressing my PC nearly as much.
Is it possible there's a fault or could there be something else going on?
Any help or advice on this greatly appreciated, thanks.
What a phenomenal curtain call for MAYHEM <3
I loved the new emphasis on different parts of the arrangements, and the "behind the scenes" stuff after the show but I wish it had been longer. Thanks Gaga and all involved in creating the whole performance and for really nailing it on every song. Love it <3
Pop-overs of panels and icons that aren't even installed?
Literally adds it's icon to the boot sector.
Flickers.
Could it be Weyland rather than Zorin itself?
I liked my Zorin experience aesthetically, but when it boots it likes to have a laugh.
Not sure why people are recommending Zorin or if anyone who had tried it would if they had tried Mint Cinnamon.
Zorin was like visiting a haunted house in an amusement park from my perspective.
Anyone used Zorin for long enough to actively like it, and is it always that quirky for some reason?
