Do you think contestants ever fake medical issues to have an excuse to tap?

Was curious after watching the first two episodes of Australia, when Mike begins having chest pains the whole scenario seems kind of forced. Like, he was struggling with the log for his shelter, then was unable to even light a fire, then all of a sudden he's coughing like he's trying to pretend to vomit and has unexplained chest pains.

I mean I've done literally that EXACT same thing to go home early from work when I didn't want to be there, down to the fake coughing and spitting and it really seems like this Mike fella plagiarized my EXACT routine.

Not trying to single him out specifically, I havent watched a whole lot of the show but this incident seemed to be the most glaring of what I've seen. I mean imagine its a holiday over at your gam gams and you're spending all this time around your family and you honestly don't really like your family all that much and you've only been there like maybe an hour and a half but already you've reached your limit and you just can't stand to be around these people any longer, like you've GOTTA GO, what are you gonna say? "Oh sorry guys I actually gotta leave because I just dont really like any of you, I just dont enjoy spending time with you at all, I only showed my face here out of some misplaced sense of familial loyalty when the truth is I often have shameful, almost disturbing thoughts at the unfortunate reality that I do infact share the same bloodline as you, and many of the distasteful behaviors I see in you are often behaviors I see in myself and hate myself for".

No you wouldn't say all that, you would save face and just make up some bullshit like "oh sorry guys I gotta work early and uh the cat needs to be fed" (you're currently unemployed and your cat weighs like 20 pounds he will be fine, probably)

Isn't it very likely that the same thing is happening with many contestants on the show? They're just saving face when the truth is that they've simply reached their limit?

Really hope Bethesda doesn't include any more of these near impossible, indecipherable puzzles in TESVI
