Is there a single unanimous mattress that is soft that is worth the price and not unreliable from a shady mattress co?
thanks
Rapture 1993 - What the heck did i just watch? What sick, isolated human being wrote this? Absolutely insane movie that has me DYING laughing in several moments. This is like if Neil Breen could have been given a reasonable budget to make something.
The way this movie looks first and foremost feels like a fucking commercial and that alone makes me laugh. Michael Onkeen is amongst the worst lead acting human beings you could find. This is made by an isolated incel living out a fantasy. There's an aspect to this movie where the lead character created some sort of software/fantasy tech or something? They don't explain it at all but it COULD have been an incredible twist if done correctly but it wasn't. It was like the biggest tease but props to them for making me intrigued by SOMETHING.
Totally worth checking out if you like that hazy, commercial like schlock
Whats your method of finding the "important locking crossover frequencies" of instruments working together? (And one more question)
Let me explain.
I understand that the tuning/key of a song makes these decisions different and the freq area is dependent on that. But what are the methods you use to find out where those areas live and need to be adjusted, etc?
My other question is is the 450-1000 the most important section because our ear is triggered by that area the most? Or do we hear from highest Freq first to low?
I'm just struggling to find where things should be locking together
On the Edge of Innocence (1997) wtf did I just watch? Lol this is great
Is there prog metal that has a similar atmosphere and mood to the Angel theme song (TV show)?
Thanks
Any albums out there that sound like those 90s made for tv movies soundtracks? I've been obsessed with those movies and i'm in love with their styles of atmosphere
I particularly like the music in the movies A Woman Scorned, Midwest Obsession, and Death of A Cheerleader. Anyone know of any albums that sound like that early/mid 90s dream-like atmopshere? There's a specific almost suburban feel to them. They really capture the west coast upper middle class lifestlye but not in a jazzy way or classical way. It's like specific textures and timbres really make you feel like you're in a cinematic kind of feel.
I made a post a few days ago about a Gervais Briot album i found that was very similar. I'm still digging that album and it's super close.
I think a lot of the tv movies from the 90s were scored with late 80s/early 90s synthesizers like the DX7, Sy77, sy99, etc. There's a specific vibe they have that i just absolutely love
I recently found the French ambient composer Gervais Briot. His album Talysman is like an exaggerated nostalgic early 90s dream.
It's as if he found every piece of technology he could to create an atmosphere of the early 90s. Its so of its time that it amplifies the nostalgia when listening in 2026. It's incredible and feels like a memory from the womb
How hot of a take is it to say Kevin Moore was the true magic sauce of DT? FII and Mp2 were good but Awake and IaW have that essence
I'm probably getting downvoted heavily or upvoted heavily. The nuanced atmosphere falls off after Kevin Moore left. Derek Sherinian did good on Falling into Infinity, sure. Still an excellent album. But Jordan doesn't have that soul touching essence that K Moore had. I could be hyperbolic here
Gervais Briot - Talysman [1990] is an exceptionally beautiful album that feels exactly like the early 90s felt.
I've been in the mood for over dramatic atmospheric 90s music. I especially am in love with the TV movie-style soundtracks. It's absurdly nostalgic sounding and makes for an escape i am currently interested in. I recommend listening to this album. Here's a youtube link. I haven't bothered to see if it's on any other streaming websites
