I'm dying for another 90s Spider-Man TAS crossover

After seeing the 90s Doc Oc in episode 9, I'm dying for them to make an episode with Christopher Daniel Barnes, the voice of 90s Spider-Man. I know we've already seen him and and MJ in the season finale of season 1, but how cool would it be to bring the voice actors back? (Sidenote: the current voice of Jean was the voice of Black Cat/Felicia Hardy in the 90s)

The neogenic nightmare arc from the 90s Spider-Man cartoon and the crossover with X-Men was one of my favorites, not to mention it could be argued that it semi-influenced Spider-Man Brand New Day.

What are your ideas for how they could bring it in?

What villains do you want to see featured?

I personally think Apocalypse sucks as a villain in both the comics and the show. I hope the show doesn't keep revisiting him like they did back in the 90s. He is the epitome of "I AM EVIL BAD GUY WITH FAINT EVIL BRITISH ACCENT AND I HAVE NO REAL EXPLANATION FOR WHY I AM EVIL. LOOK AT THE A ON MY BELT!" Even with the En-Sabah Nur origin, he is boring to me.

I want villains with pathos and complex backstory. I am looking forward to Mystique next season, but I would also love a season focused on the Hellfire club.

Hell they could even bring in Cassandra Nova (minus the genocide). Also I'm kind of pissed that they killed off Exodus so fast, he would have been a great recurring villain.

Is anyone else as squeamish/wimpy about pest control as I am?

Please understand I'm not trying to stereotype women here, I recognize that I am just a weakling and the vast majority of women are stronger than me about this stuff.

I have been dealing with a rodent problem in my house (not sure if it's mice or rats, I only saw something scurry very fast across my room and into my closet in the middle of the night).

I put out humane traps that are supposed to be catch and release and haven't caught anything yet. Landlord did hire an exterminator who put poison bait out but I am still seeing droppings here and there.

A handyman came by and sealed up the supposed entry points, but then when he left, HE LEFT THE DAMN BACK DOOR OPEN and unfortunately I didn't notice it for about 13 hours because I was in the middle of work in another room and focused, and didn't go into the kitchen during that time. So any number of rats or mice might have gotten into my house during that time the door was open and it's stressing me out.

Now my landlord is refusing to do anything else, which I understand, but I am still dealing with the problem.

So I am hiring my own exterminator, but from my research I've discovered that rats are more likely to avoid traps. So I may be dealing with rats. Also the droppings I noticed were larger.

I have put all food in airtight containers, I just can't figure out how they are still surviving.

I'm just so stressed out from this and I could use some solidarity from other single women who have dealt with this before. The fact that I am alone in my home dealing with this compounds the stress.

My door was left open for 13 hours without me noticing, then I noticed droppings in my house, and I can't stop thinking about what kind of creatures came in

A handyman was doing work in my house and he left the door open when he left. I didn't notice it for 13 hours, until like 3am.

I live in the suburbs but I went out to dinner with some friends the other night and a guy friend kept talking to me about giant rats. I am so scared that some of them came into my house while the door was left open.

It's the uncertainty that I don't know what actually came in that is getting to me. I am meeting with some exterminators next week because my landlord refuses to do anything more about it but I am so squeamish about mice and rats and rodents and spiders.

I don't want to see the dead mice and rats in the traps.

Also what if a snake came in? I am sleeping at someone else's house for the next two nights because I can't deal with the scratching/rustling noises I hear at night.

I'm just so afraid that this problem will never be solved and now I have a colony of mice or rats or possums or snakes living in my house now.

Help - having an anxiety attack because handyman left back door open and let creatures in for 12 hours

So a handyman came over to fix some holes in the walls of my house because mice were getting in.

The same guy left my house out of the backdoor and just left it open, ajar, without closing it, and I didn't notice until 12 hours later because I was deep in focus mode for work and I just didn't go to that part of my house. Who doesn't close the door behind you when you leave?

I'm so upset. I couldn't sleep last night because I heard scurrying and shuffling and noises all around. Now all manner of creatures and creepy crawlies have probably entered my house, along with probably several mice, because he left the door open.

Shame on me for not noticing it for so long but I'm so upet and anxious. I didn't sleep all night and I'm so strung out on anxiety that I'm not going to be able to sleep now.

I need some reassurance please. I can’t get my heart rate down.

In season 2, episode 1 of TAS...

I never noticed this before, but in this episode, Morph literally does a "Makin copiiiies!" impression of Rob Schneider on SNL and it's the most 90s thing ever.

The only way X-Men 97 could surpass this is if they referenced The Gap Girls somehow (I'm thinking Blob saying "LAY OFF ME I'M STARVING")

Shout out in advance to the elder millennials who understand this post. I recognize the fact that I'm old.

Not sure if this is a safe space to talk about negative side effects but I’ve been nauseous (and vomiting) for 48 hours

Edit: I’m at the only ER that takes my insurance, which happens to be the shittiest one in town. Sorry to be negative, I just feel physically horrible and I have very little confidence that they are going to be able to solve my problem what with all the nausea/pro-kinetic meds my current med list is contra-indicated with.

****

I want to die. I don’t know why this is happening, I have been on this dose for like three months and this is my first time getting these symptoms.

My stomach just feels completely stuck/paralyzed. I spoke to the telehealth nurse she said it was because I was constipated. So I took a dulcolax suppository (her recommendation) and it did barely anything, now I just drank half a bottle of magnesium citrate and I feel like puking again. I have been vomiting small amounts of bile/liquid with occasional chunks (sorry).

I have taken two doses of zofran and they’ve done absolutely nothing for me. Afraid to take more as I already have chronic tachycardia.

I’m thinking of going to the ER and just telling them that I’m in severe pain/discomfort and that I’m not leaving until my nausea is resolved, but they probably won’t take me seriously.

Also running on zero sleep since nausea prevents me from being able to fall asleep.

Does anyone else talk a lot in their sleep or have another parasomnia?

Since I started taking parnate I have been talking loudly, even shouting in my sleep. I am constantly waking myself up as a result. Does anyone else have this?

Please let Generation X be more vocal/active at some point this season

Feel like they keep showing Chamber just for fan service. Let him actually psionically speak or use his powers, I'm dying to know what his voice sounds like.

This past episode I'm pretty sure Synch and Quentin were the only ones who spoke. I want to hear from Chamber, Monet and (I think I saw Skin too, the guy with the pale purplish/gray skin). I know Monet as Penance said one line in episode 2. Yes I am partial to the original 1994 generation X (wish we had Husk here too). I want to see them use their powers too.

How many times have you been to the bathroom today

For me it's 7 times and it's not even noon.

I have some parasomnia, talk in my sleep and have very vivid/nightmarish dreams. I do this thing where I wake myself up from talking in my sleep about 4/5 times each night and since I'm so distressed from the dream I was having I'll have a bite and a sip to eat for comfort.

It doesn't happen every night, but last night it was particularly bad. Woke up with horrific d and gas this morning and it's been non stop trips to the bathroom since. I took some ibgard and now am regretting it since it slows motility. Maybe I should have just called out of work and flushed everything out.

Does anyone else feel intense anxiety that they are not going to sleep every night

I feel like that is my biggest obstacle to falling asleep. It’s not only that I physiologically can’t fall asleep, it’s that I get so anxious every night that I won’t be able to.

Right now I’m running on 48 hours no sleep. I should be drooling but I’m incredibly awake. I JUST WANT MY BODY TO DO THE NORMAL HUMAN THING OF BEING SO TIRED THAT IT CANNOT HELP FALL ASLEEP, but it refuses to do that.

Need a good mouse exterminator

I saw a mouse run across my bedroom last night and I am worried I have an infestation (even though I have been living in this house for 18 months without seeing one).

Does anyone have a good mouse/rodent exterminator that you can recommend that did a great job? I don’t care about non-toxic, I just want them gone.

Saw a mouse last night in my room and now I’m not going to be able to sleep for the near future

I immediately packed a quick overnight bag and drove over to my parents’ house to sleep. I fucking hate pests. My building a few years ago had a bag roach and mice problem and it traumatized me. I can’t go through that again.

I have lived in this house for a year and a half and this is my first time seeing one. I’m so worried it’s going to turn into an infestation. I cannot calm down, my heart rate is at 135. I couldn’t even sleep last night at my parents’.

I am installing a new water softening system into my shower so the showerhead is off right now and the pipe where it would normally screw in is just open. Could the mouse have come through that? I can’t change it now bc I am not at my house. I don’t want to deal with this. I especially do not want to deal with dead mice in traps.

I know people are thinking that I need to grow up from this post but it just grosses me out so much. My home is my safe space and nice carry germs and disease that can kill you. I have no pets that can deal with them.

@Erik, please do the due diligence of fact checking what you say. Your words have influence.

You keep reporting that Craig Gillespie and Anna Nogueira got very little inspiration from WoT, or at best flipped through a few pages. That is false. Both of them read the book and cited it as a source of inspiration. In Nogueira's case, she said it was a major source of inspiration.

  1. Gillespie waited to read the book until after reading Nogueira's script because he said he wanted to develop his own visual identity. I am not saying this is right or wrong, I am saying this is true.
  2. In her interview with Brandon Davis, Nogueira specifically said that she read the book many times and marked it up heavily with notes and bookmarks.

Tom King himself was inspired by True Grit when he wrote Woman of Tomorrow, but he changed several things about the story when writing it (for example, in the book and in the 1969 film, Rooster Cogburn does actually kill the Tom Chaney character, who Krem is the facsimile of. So in some ways one could argue Supergirl is actually more faithful to True Grit than Tom King was. The Coen brothers also changed this in their adaptation, where they had Mattie, the Ruthye character, kill Tom Chaney).

I love the book WoT, but why is this adaptation getting dragged through the mud for making narrative changes when Tom King himself did that?

It's disappointing to see the same pattern of everyone else on the internet who just mindlessly parrots things they heard or saw online. So no one is able to think for themselves. If you go into a movie thinking that it sucks, obviously you are going to hate it.

New Rockstars aren't exactly journalists, but I did think that you all held yourself to the standard of only sharing facts, not idle gossip.

>"I very deliberately started with the script that Ana wrote," Gillespie says, "and I put together a lot of visuals around that coming from the script, trying to make something that I would be excited about and that had this grit and flavor of the Supergirl character, Kara."

>If you're a fan of the original comic, don't throw your phone just yet: Gillespie confirms he did eventually look at the original comic for inspiration, and confirms that he borrowed some visuals from Evely's work.

"After that, I went back and visited Tom King's Woman of Tomorrow and took some images from that," he says, "but I didn't want to start there because I didn't want to just do the comic book."

Just wondering. I am single for life but choice and I don’t want my left ring finger to go to waste.
