Korra and Aaang ----Legend of Korra and Avatar The Last Airbender. The less popular incarnation of the Avatar after the Aaang who more popular with fans.

Star Wars----Luke and Rey.

Doctor Who---The 13th version of the Doctor as a woman who was less popular with fans.

Sequels which overwrite everything achieved in the last film.

Aliens and Alien 3----Ridley goes back to save Newt. Only for her to die in the crash at the start of the next film.

Star Wars----The Original Trilogy ends with the empire defeated and the hope for the return of freedom and democracy with the forming of the New Republic. Only for the whole government and its military to be instantly destroyed.

Ted and Ted 2-----John and Ted try to mature for John to win Lori back and they end up getting married. Only for them to be divorced at the start of the end film and John to find a new love interest.

[Hated Trope] "It's all shades of grey" card that they become apologists and defenders of evil.

The villain was misunderstood and really a victim.

-Cruella live action. The woman tried to slaughter puppies for fur.

-Orcs in Rings of Power. In Tolkien's work, they were elves once and corrupted by evil. The personifications of the machines of war. In Rings of Power, they're the victims of war.

-Wicked. The Wicked Witch was always evil and took pleasure in cruelty. In Wicked she was the victim of society.

-Maleficent--The villain from sleeping beauty. The same concept as Wicked.
