Ive literally never heard anyone talk about this series and it’s driving me nuts, it’s really fun and cute and I think it deserves more attention!

Stop mocking special needs kids for stimming or having meltdowns. Stop using the R-word. Stop calling people slow. Stop shaming people for their interests, even if it’s childish (no, I’m obviously not talking about an “interest” like pedophilia or incest or zoophillia or any of that shit. I mean gossiping about somebody who likes Bluey or MLP or something else you might not understand). You aren’t cool or funny or relatable, you’re being cruel.

I was absolutely disgusted on my first day back to school when in my 1st period Gym Class a kid was weeping loudly and having a meltdown and one of the kids in my class wouldn’t stop snickering. Could you fucking imagine having a mental disorder that makes processing emotions/sensory input/whatever else might fuck you up and somebody else laughs at you? Let alone that’s fucking normalized?

I’m lucky enough to be good at masking my autistic traits (just to get bullied anyway), but when I tell you I was trying BADLY not to at the very least tell the kid to shut the fuck up I mean it. I feel like neurodivergent people get SO MUCH SHIT just for existing or even just having the disorder, something we’re born with and have no choice to make “go away”. The way we have to process the hell that is a world that isn’t made for us isn’t enough, we still have to deal with disgusting people like that guy

I know I’m gonna get ableist comments and some stuff about “this ain’t gonna change anything” but I’m just hoping some one who actually gives a shit about being a decent person sees this and keeps it in their mind. Also looking back this is more of a brain dump than anything

I swear at least a Year ago (give or take) there was a video essay about the history of certain animals so popular within children’s media that weren’t very popular within said children’s lives. Like with monkeys, tigers, giraffes and elephants. The video essay then dived into the history of circus animals and how they were brought to America as spectacles as almost alien creatures to children’s books and everything despite them not being native. I also don’t remember the video essay boing super long, it was like around 12 minutes but no more than like 30. I’m also fairly certain a white dude with short blonde/brown hair was covering it (maybe it got removed from the internet? Don’t see why he would though..)

I really need help finding this one! I’ve looked all over YouTube but nothing like that video has come up. Any help in finding this would be greatly appreciated!!! <:)

I used to listen to freaks by Sub Urban a lot before I was diagnosed, cringe I know but it’s weird looking back on how I understood my autism before I even suspected autism. So many of the lines relating to trying your hardest to fit in when everyone else sees you as nothing more than a circus animal to laugh at really resonated with me. Of course I’m a lot better/different now, but I wanted to know if anyone else has or has had an experience like that

Another more positive and recent example is Pork and Beans by Weezer. It’s a pretty positive and good song about being confident and happy with yourself despite what others may want from you. I relate to it with many other aspects of myself, but my autism, something I have been bullied for and that caused me to think negatively about for quite some time in in my younger years is certainly something I connect to with it. It’s also super high energy so I also like stimming to it :)

Mostly all I remember about it but I remember everyone has humanoid but not human character designs. I think one guy was a yellow salamander or axolotl? Maybe a dog??

I also vividly remember one of the guys had a beanie, don’t remember which tho.

2 of the roommates were locked in the house because the door lock was jammed or something, their other roommate was out getting groceries or something. The two roommates have to face the poisonous snakes in their attic without the other guy to help them

That’s the basis of what I remember, if anyone has any idea what it was THANK YOU TO JUPITER AND BAVK THIS HAS BEEN DRIVING ME CRAZY
