Thoughts on Pucker Up?

I don't see a lot of swatches on this one! I love how sheer and sparkly it is - Looks like it applies really thin and evenly? I'm bad at thicker polish. It's a little bright for my usual taste, but I feel like it would be super cute in 1-2 very thin layers, like a fun sparkly raspberry shade. I love the glass-like finish. I usually go for things like sugar cube and flower child.

This vs H-Fi? (very different, I know). I KNOW I want remix, and I want to add a second polish (but not a third, lol). Thanks. <3

What tinted sunscreen can you tolerate for sensitive/rosacea/combo/acne-prone skin?

I use cerave am (not tinted), and it breaks me out a bit. I wondered if their tinted mineral one would be better, or tower 28 (since that's more for combo skin). Or any other recs?

Thanks!!!

If I want to start adapalene, should I stick with my gentle facial cleanser (cerave hydrating) or switch to something more suitable for my skin type (la roche posay foaming, for example)?

My skin is oily/combo but can be sensitive, so cerave has been great for that, but it could clean better and can leave me a little oily. I also have mild rosacea that I'm treating with azaleic (mostly on my cheeks); just flushing. Besides that, I just use cerave am/pm and benzoyl (which I could pause on or reduce). I don't have major breakouts, but I will occasionally get small bumps on my forehead and 1-2 larger chin bumps a month (I thought it was hormonal for sure, but it seems like it's better since I stopped my hair gel. So oiliness might be playing a larger role than I thought). Anyway, I'm going to patch test the adapalene for a week on my arm, then try it once a week on my face, then slowly move my way up.

But I'm not sure if this is the "wrong time" to switch my cleanser or not (obviously I would make sure the cleanser works for me for a bit before stacking it). I don't want to layer irritation on irritation (foaming cleansers are more stripping), but I'm not sure if I'm making my skin worse by using something that doesn't suit it.

I always feel like I’m disappointing my friends because I don’t have the same social battery.

I’m pretty consistent as people go; it’s not like I drop off; and I honor my commitments. But I’m just not someone that’s going to want to initiate hanging out all the time or be able to text back quickly all the time. I am grateful for my friends, but just to have a lot going on in my personal life in addition to being super super introverted. I have somehow found myself in a more social position than I expected, lol. I feel like I’m doing my best, but I always still feel guilty. I don’t even know if they know how introverted I am; I feel like my friends are all more on the extroverted side. I just don’t wanna disappoint people.

I'm interested in learning to rollerskate or rollerblade, but I'm a renter with hardwood floors. Is there any way to practice indoors without damaging my floors?

People have mentioned getting a mat; is it just those interlocking tiles? If so, any recs? And is that enough space to even practice much? I don't think there's an indoor rink anywhere near me in Philly. I could practice outside at the park, but obviously that's somewhat seasonal (I could do it in the cold I guess, but not the snow, lol). Also, I'd love to start slow in my environment, especially since it's pretty crowded most places around here, and there's not much for open space/even streets. Thanks. :)

Chronic spontaneous urticaria: Do I need to "find my triggers," or does this truly mean I'm not triggered by much of anything and it is all random?

Or is it commonly misdiagnosed? I wondered about a second opinion from immunology. The only thing I reacted to on my patch test was the TAPE. But generally speaking, I get rashes, hives, and swelling from fragrance and was still negative ?? but planning to avoid this. But I had numerous suspected allergies; some are consistent (fragrance, nickel) and some are inconsistent (vanicream body wash) in terms of rashing. I can avoid heat to the best of my ability; I know that can worsen things; but it's hard for me to believe that it's just not caused by anything otherwise (or any known/contact causes). I'm open to just taking lots of meds if need be, but I just find this diagnosis a little puzzling. Thanks!!

If you’ve been patch tested, what happened? Did you react to everything or nothing? Thoughts on what I should do?

Should I get an opinion from immunology before settling on “chronic hives” or something? Would an MCAS diagnosis get me better treatment options (allergist mentioned high dose zyrtec, xolair, rhapsido)?

It literally all came back negative (except for the tape!), even fragrance, which has given me major hives, rashes, and even swelling. I seem to react to everything at random now and am scared to shower, lol, because these crazy skin reactions. But they are considering a biopsy.

She doesn’t think I have mast cell flushing because it’s not my entire body--just my face, chest, arms, hands, feet--and since it's mostly skin. I can’t find clear food triggers or anything but some products *seem* to trigger me randomly, though I tested negative. I get really red, hot, flushed, break out. Heat/water (any temp) are the only obvious triggers.

But I been suspecting MCAS due to all these constant reactions, heat/flushing in skin, rapid pulse, dizziness, GI and bladder issues, chronic pain, among others. Could be some separate things, and they tend to see it that way, but my health has just changed a lot in recent years. Sometimes I just have significant reaction to a new environment. Never on the level of anaphylaxis for this, though I've had my hand swell once, and I had an anaphylactic reaction as a kid.

So I have other health stuff, some chronic and some that comes and goes, but the skin reactions are near-constant and significant.

New to coding here. I just started using codeacademy (full stack dev program), but I'm having some issues with it (server crashing, outdated info). Are there other platforms you'd recommend over this?

Looking for something accessible (at least reasonably so), comprehensive, modern/updated, and that works reliably. I've heard about a few different sites (roadmap, odin, mosh, codecamp) but not sure what's best/recommended.

Also, I was hoping for more of a track vs. compiling a bunch of courses. I'm open to do that if need be but just find it a little more confusing in terms of what I need to learn. Thanks!!

Any swatches/thoughts on elf black cherry sheer slick lipstick? I can't tell if it'll suit my pale, cool-toned complexion.

Also, do you like this one? It's got a big more depth (I'm a true summer), but I could see it working since it's so sheer, and I tend to favor berry tones. I have a lot of allergies and love a balm texture, and this fits. But curious what you all of think of this. :)

What in the Almay skin clearing concealer (see ingredients) is being flagged as fragrance/balsam of peru? I'm using the Skin safe app.

Yacon and aloe? Just trying to understand so I know what to seek and avoid! I have a fragrance allergy, and this has always been labeled fragrance free--but I want to be extra cautious due to recent rashes. The elf concealer has a more clear trigger (rose water), but not sure about this. I'm going to try l'oreal instead (true match is free of both).

Anyone else get near-constant urticaria bumps that linger for days, with almost a burning and pins and needles sensation, that leave marks (almost like post-acne marks)? Trying to figure this out.

Uticarial vasculitis? MCAS?

I'm curious if anyone has something similar and what it turned out to be (yes, I'm going to the doctor, lol; awaiting various tests).

Seems mostly random but like it "attacks" all at once. My skin gets kind of speckles/kerotosis pilaris-looking (but not that per se), and then the bumps get bigger and become red and inflamed like this. There is an itch, but it's often more of a burn/tingle/heat sensation. Doc doesn't think it's a contact allergy anymore; awaiting a biopsy.

Other health issues, may or may not relate: My body is boiling at times (red and flushed and hot to the touch, esp at night); I also have some issues with dizziness (feels vestibular), reflux, GI, IC (mostly pressure), significant upper body flushing, rapid pulse, swollen glands, chronic pain that predates all this; unclear what's related to what, but I just feel like that's a lot of changes. Double periods. Lots of skin changes! 30f, normal general boodwork.

Looking for suggestions on how to proceed given my symptoms (e.g., which doc to see or any tips).

Should I go to an immunologist next, or what kind of doc would you recommend?

Pics are to show how it starts and develops. Hard to say if I have triggers because I always have "hives" (hesitate to say hives because they LOOK like hives but don't go away; I just get more). It's like nothing can touch my skin (and I'm using very few products, stuff like vanicream), so heat and ANYTHING touching it triggers it, but it's often entirely random. My skin gets kind of speckles/kerotosis pilaris-looking (but not that per se), and then the bumps get bigger and become red and inflamed like this. There is an itch, but it's often more of a burn/tingle/heat sensation.

I finally had an allergist validate that it in fact does not look like contact derm. Searched my apartment thinking it was bed bugs, carpet beetles, etc.; 0 evidence of anything. We're going to do a patch test to see if anything pops up, but it doesn't align with contact areas, no clear patterns. Derm (couldn't ID rash) and the allergists I've been to aren't so sure where to go from here or what's happening, but I might push for a biopsy. I was thinking maybe chronic vibes (this has been mentioned time or two) or vasculitis.

This is the worst part by far and has been bad since March, but my body is boiling at times (red and flushed and hot to the touch, esp at night); I also have some issues with dizziness (feels vestibular), reflux, GI, IC, significant upper body flushing, rapid pulse, swollen glands, chronic pain that predates all this; unclear what's related to what, but I just feel like that's a lot of changes. Lots and lots of skin changes in the last year as well. I was also getting double periods for the better part of a year (yes, I've checked my iron; I could take a supplement but it's on the low end of normal~16). I thought it might be MCAS but no one seems to know anything about that. Anyway, if you have any tips for how to figure it all out or who to even go to, I'd love to hear them. 30F, for reference. Thank you. <3

Does this look at all like bed bug bites?

I moved here in Nov 2025; it started March/April 2026. I've been rashing for MONTHS thinking I was allergic to everything. My husband is not reacting at all. They start small (kinda kerotosis pilaris like) and then burn and get inflamed like this. It's often symmetrical but worse on the side I sleep on; does not align with contact areas; always the arms but sometimes feet, thighs, knees, hands (but not all over; clustered); itch but esp. burns.

Allergist said it might be worth looking into because it looks less like typical contact derm and has this particular clustered pattern. Plus, I'm not reacting to any of these products on my inner arm.

Where do I go from here? Climb up traps to get possible evidence, then ask landlord about extermination if I find sufficient evidence? Just wondered if it’s worth looking into before I contact my landlord or anything. :/ I do tend to react in exposed areas. I have seen a few marks on my mattress but not

Also, can it jeopardize my place in this apartment? Love it here and don’t want to move!

Carpet needles? Could you even have an infestation without more obvious signs on clothing or in the sheets?

Looking for gentle (SLS free) toothpaste recs for perioral dermatitis.

Hi, so I think I might have this due to redness and tiny bumps around my mouth and nose etc.

Ironically, I was prescribed prevident 5k when I had gum irritation from Crest. My doc thought I might be allergic to SLS. Well I just found out prevident has SLS. 🙃It’s also very high fluoride, which I heard can trigger this.

Any recs for a gentle toothpaste? I’d love to still have fluoride (and dentist recommended) that will clean my teeth well—but perhaps something gentler overall. Looks like most sensodyne has SLS except the whitening one, and I’ve heard therabreath and Squiggle are decent options. Cleure looks gentle but has 0 flouride. Thanks!

I have a nickel allergy, as well as fragrance/BOP/possibly others. Any razors suggestions? Do derms typically recommend disposable, safety, electric, or?

I'm having issues with the shave strips. Unclear if nickel factors in here, as I believe it's only in trace amounts? But they often don't disclose everything in the shave strip. I use the Gilette venus sensitive ones, but they recently changed the formula, and my legs have been a bit more dry/itchy (though I don't know these were ever a great pick for me).

I wouldn't mind trying safety or electric, if I could get a decent shave, but not sure what's the gentlest method (and lowest allergic potential). The disposable ones always have a strip, almost (or I could try the plain Bic ones, though they don't look particularly gentle). Thanks!!!

Have any of you tried Efinaconazole (Jublia) or Kerydin (tavaborole) as topicals? Have you had better luck with these?

Penlac causes a lot of staining and hasn't made a significant difference. Nails are a little better color-wise (they'd looked kind of scratchy), but it's been like 6 months and they break so easily. I have at least a moderate case, if I recall correctly, though it's not super obvious if you look at them. I'm open to oral meds, though, if it's all about the same, though the liver thing makes me nervous. I'm 30F, have some general health stuff but my bloodwork is strong. Thanks!

I feel like phenoxyethanol is probably the most likely here ?, or maybe Ethylhexylglycerin. The former has more crossover with my current products, and I've had a lot of issues with products lately. And I think only the two of these are even on the patch test list. But I can't get in for a bit, so I'm doing what I can at the moment and making swaps to see what helps. Thanks!!

Could food allergies (or things you ingest like toothpaste, lipstick, to a small degree) cause systemic and ongoing body rashes on areas like your arms and such?

I've been rashing since March but can't get patch tested until October, so trying to see what I can learn. My only know food allergies are pine nuts and fish, but that's all I was tested for, and things have escalated since.

I have a SEVERE fragrance allergy (chemical frag, essential oil; rashes and swelling). Now I'm suspecting a balsam of peru allergy due to timing and patterns of reactions, which would account for a few things I use. But not sure it's a simple contact allergy because it's the same spots of my body (back of the arms, thighs, sometimes feet) that feel sort of tingly and activate at the same time, and I kind of feel itchy all over. Hard to track beause it's always there to a degree.

I never ever react in between those areas; legs are clear. It starts small (red bumps), gets worse, goes down a little but not fully, then starts over. I'd love any tips or thoughts. I also get significant flushing and a heat sensation in my skin (face, chest, arms). I'm fully fragrance free, using products like vanicream. Doc says it's allergic and not a skin condition. Fragrance free cosmetics, but there might be balsam of peru in my lipstick, and I've been wondering about my toothpaste because I'm always burning up around that time of night. Balsam of peru would tie together a lot of things I've wondered about like my eucerin ezema cream, nail polish, etc., lots of random things. But wondering what you all think. I'm cutting out the lotion (which I don't always use, so it's not the full picture) and the lipstick and toothpaste, but curious about the ingestion part. I thought I was reacting to every product, but I think something more complex is happening. Sometimes my lips tingle a bit but I don't have obvious lip/oral irritation. Just trying to sort all the things I need to swap out to see if this might be the issue.
