What is the most known piece of literature from your country, that has world wide accliam, like almost eveyone has atleast heard of it once?
Anybody feeling Costco is becoming less economical?
For context, I was looking through the receipts of the same stuff I bought during the previous years and it's shocking. I have been looking at other stores as well, and walmart is coming out to be a very good Costco alternative if we see unit economics of most items. Produce is cheaper at walmart.
Has anyone found out the same thing? Another thing is the bill value. I am spending 300 something in costco, where as walmart i am in much more control.
Do you dread the inevitable?

So for context, I have not been able to see my parents for like 3.5 years now, due to circumstances. My dad is to retire next year, which already had me thinking about how much time has passed, yesterday was his birthday.
Then my mom told me, she is having some abdominal issues (she had gotten surgery done some time back...) they told me now.
Ever since that conversation, I've had this heavy feeling hanging over me. It's like my brain suddenly realized that my parents are getting older, and that there isn't an unlimited amount of time left with them. I know that's true for everyone, but it never hit me this hard before.
How do you cope with this feeling without letting it consume you? I know I can't stop time, but the dread has been sitting in my chest ever since, and I don't really know what to do with it.
Nothing really had hit this hard till now that yeah, I am 28 now.
TL;DR: I suddenly got hit with the realization that my parents won't be around forever, and I can't shake the dread. Has anyone else experienced this?
How was your experience growing up here? Especially school.
I have a niece who lives in Celina, TX. She was born in the U.S., and next year she'll be starting school. She's the first child in our family to be born here.
I currently live in Seattle and had been trying to convince my sister and brother-in-law to move here, but they bought a home in Celina, in late 2024. Lately, though, my brother-in-law has become increasingly concerned about the rise in racism and the possibility of bullying in schools. We were talking recently, and he mentioned that maybe moving to Seattle would have been the better choice.
He's lived in Texas for about a decade and always loved it. Until recently, he says he had never experienced racism there. But over the past year, a few neighbors have become openly hostile, and both he and my sister have been subjected to racial slurs in public.
I'd really like to hear from people who grew up in the U.S. or went through the school system here. How common is racism and bullying in schools today? Is this something they should genuinely be worried about as their daughter starts school, or does it vary significantly by community and district?
What are some of the iconic railway/train routes/crossings in your country?
For India, among many, I like the dudhsagar falls crossing on the konkan railway.
Any one tries to be 1st to say no, if theres no alignment?
I have met may be 4 matches on zoom/facetime only. Now 3 of them, I found to be unsuitable for what I am looking for. Now 2 of these 3 (1 was a dentist, 1 was an aspiring instagram travel influencer) were very keen to talk more... Take things forward...
I feel very weird keeping someone in limbo. I like to keep things straight. I simply type this message on whatsapp, unfollow(&remove from followers) on instagram.
Message i type: Hi _____, it was good getting to know you. I realized that there are some deal breakers for me, Based on that, I feel there's less alignment and it might not be the best match moving forward.
I dont know, is it my childhood rejection trauma? That I always try to be the first to type this message, if needed.
For the 2 I mentioned, I typed these messages not even after 20 min we concluded the call. The dentist's father expected me to open her a clinic lol. The aspiring insta influencer was not a vibe match. Felt like she wanted to use me as some sort of stepping stone. Later I found out through some mutual connections that she is in an active relationship, while she lied to my face in the call.
(Same thing happened with 3rd girl as well. She initially said, she is not into dating, but later in the conversation blurted out "when she goes on dates..." )
Now I particularly do not have issues with a past (unless its extensive) but I definitely avoid people who are lying on my face.
Whats your usual thing? Like when you want to say no?
Are there any examples of cringe actors becoming politicians in your country?
The one in red vest is Ravi Kishan, a fairly popular actor, known for both his cringe movies and some good roles as well. He is currently a member of parliament.
This is happening to me for the last week, everyday. What arey options? S25 ultra.
I have restarted many times, and did a soft reset as well.
Why do some Indian Americans seem reluctant to socialize with Indians from India?

I've noticed something over the years, and I'm curious if others have observed the same thing or if I'm just reading too much into it.
In the U.S., especially among second-generation Indian Americans, there sometimes seems to be a reluctance to socialize with recent immigrants from India, even when they're in the same university, the same company, or come from similar socioeconomic backgrounds.
It almost feels like some don't want to be associated with anything that makes them seem "more Indian." At times, it even comes across as a superiority complex. My guess is that growing up facing stereotypes or bullying may have led some people to distance themselves from their Indian identity as a coping mechanism.
I've also noticed what seems like a dating pattern: Indian American men appear more open to dating women from India, whereas it seems much less common for Indian American women.
Although this is all anecdotal, but over the years, I have been here, its becoming more pronounced in my observations.

What vehicle has the biggest stereotype in your country? And is it deserved?
For India, it is the Maruti omni, its a cheap van that was mostly used for commercial purpose of hauling small goods or a shared taxi. Due to its sliding back door and small size it was aptly used as a kidnapping vehicle, extensively in bollywood movies, and some times in real life.
Another such vehicle is Mahindra Thar. There is an entire subreddit called r/TharCriminals, with a lot of evidence reinforcing the stereotypes of the kind of people that buy this vehicle. Thick brained wanna be gangsters, giving small dih energy.
