My last rave was 25 years ago. People swore the Midway block parties were rave-y so I went in expecting that vibe.

It was just a giant outdoor club. Very little danced. Hundreds of people standing like statues staring at the stage.

And every interaction was weirdly sexual? I’d make a casual comments to lot of guys and they act like I was hitting on them. I was in sweats. Said comments to several women and they were snooty. Lots of people just kept to themselves.

At a rave you dance and feed off the energy around you. Here it was dead. Not a lot of dancing, no socializing, just phones and staring.

Was it wrong to have expected rave vibes at the block party? Or just sit my old ass at home 🤣I’d

People have thoughts on the best times to enter a Midway block party on GA? I’m not trying to party all day. Deadmau5 and dancing are my main intention. I read rumblings that set times are posted on the day of, but couldn’t find it on socials. Thanks and see y’all on the dance floor.
