I just adopted a 1 year old cat, need help with a name

I just signed the adoption papers. I pick her up on Wed! I'm so excited.

Out of these names, please help me decide:

Sushi, Nori, Mochi, Gnocchi, Bubbles, Merlot, Croissant.

Note: please only choose out of my list of names. Thank you!

Struggling with anxiety, only Christians answer please

I started a new job and have a lot of anxiety every single day before going to work. It is a new career that I'm still in college for so it's all new stuff that I'm learning. But my anxiety is so debilitating. I'm afraid I'll mess up or do or say something wrong. I am a pretty slow learner. I just wanted to ask for help from other Christians because I have prayed to Jesus about it and although He has helped me to understand and learn things at work, I feel as tho my anxiety isn't subsiding.

The sunset at my church today

I took this at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church on Forest Home this evening.

I haven't seen a sunset like this in awhile, and I love the way the cross looks with this backdrop! Happy summer and happy Sunday everyone!

Rant about r/college

They removed my post where I asked others if they had a pet while in college and how they tackled college life and caring for a pet at the same time. I posted nothing against their rules and the rules are very vague to begin with. I simply asked for an explanation of why it got removed and was very polite. I didn't hear a response after a couple days so asked again. I was then banned completely from the sub with no explanation lol. Just wondering if anyone else has dealt the with the power tripping mods over there?

People that give their cat "old people" names are always unstable

I work in the vet field. I swear, 90% of cat owners with a name like that are Karens, bitter women and men, or weird people that have antisocial behavior.

In addition to that, my brother's ex girlfriend's cat's name was Charles. She cheated on him and was completely psychotic. I also have an ex bff who used to throw her cat across the room and she also used to steal and manipulate me. Her cat's name? Bob.

Never fails. 😂

Did anyone have a cat while in college?

Does anyone else have a cat or another pet while in school? I'm not staying in a dorm, and will be living in an apartment with a roommate. I'll also be working part time. If so, how did you balance your school and work life, friends/biyfriend/girlfriend, with your time at home with your pet? Is this doable? Thanks in advance! Just trying to plan to see if it's feasible, as I've wanted a cat for really long time and my parents were always allergic. I am also going to veterinary school, so animals are something I currently have a lot of knowledge and will gain even more knowledge in.

Edit: I just wanted to add that I'm not a young student coming from high school. I have lived on my own for three years now and have held down a full time job. I just decided I wanted to go to go back to college.

Which 4th of July themed cake should I make?

I am trying to make a 4th of July themed cake for a family gathering. I want an American flag/patriotic theme of sorts but without it looking cringe or over the top. These are some examples, but I need help deciding which one to make.

Has anyone heard of this book, if so how is it?

Kind of funny: I was about to search up something unrelated on Google and after typing "I want," this suggestion came up, which leads me to believe it is pretty popular. I've never heard of it. It got me curious. So if anyone has read this, how did you like it?

Came across this on a dating app, this is the only photo of herself apart from her cat

It looks too polished to be real. This woman is too perfect, I know not really a sign. But some other things: when zooming in, the cross looks deformed. The bedroom also looks generic. This woman claims to be a "lesbian Christian," looking for love. The profile description is very vague and lacks any personality.
