League Classic is reminding us of what it meant to be a support in Season 3

Enjoy this time lapsed (sped up 16x) mid-late support gameplay. Nearly ~20 minutes of gametime total.

The game ended because they tried to sneak baron and it was (of course) warded lol. Despite the title, it's oddly relaxing playing a ward bot and roaming throughout the map.

League Classic: What are you supposed to build as support, and how do you prioritize ward slots with combat items?

I'm a masters toplane player in Solo/Duo, and have recently been playing Classic as a support player.

In classic wards are consumables and there's no limit on how many you can have on the map at once...

So I'm honestly lost at the optimal approach on what to build/do. Normally in my games I build:

>Mobi's
Kages/Philo/HoG (3x GP10 items)
Sightstone

And on every back I pickup 10 green/purple wards, oracles, and roam until the minimap looks like CCTV footage.

Idk if this is the right thing to do or there's a meta that's been developed. I'm just borrowing tactics from what I remember in proplay in the Season 3-era.

What's the proper way to balance vision/items as a support in Classic?

Is 'Honor of Kings' really the most played video game?

Been playing MOBA-style games (League of Legends) for 13 years. I've never heard of this title prior to today, and was surprised to see a claim that it's the most popular MOBA (globally) by far.

Is it really the more popular than League, and is the most played video game?

The new stacking benchmarks for 'having good stacks' while playing lane Nasus in 25.16?

What are the new thresholds for 'having good stacks' at x minutes for lane Nasus in 25.16?

After 5 games I think it's something like:

  • Level 6: 100 Stacks
  • 10 Minutes: 250 Stacks
  • 15 Minutes: 450 Stacks
  • 20 Minutes: 700 Stacks

The state of botlane picks in 2026:

The old Ivern vs Olaf ADC with Katarina Support matchup.

I'm pretty confident this 2v2 botlane matchup has never been played before...

Is it just me or are queues pretty quiet for League Classic? (1 Week after release)

(This is on NA)

Queue didn't pop until 12 minutes, then asked everyone how long their queue timer was and got similar responses.

Anyone else getting Dominion-esque queue timers?

New-ish players (2023+): What got you into the game, and what made you stick around?

Title.

Basically what got you into the game, and what made you stick?

Wondering what appeals to incoming/newer League players that makes them overcome the learning curve of 150+ champions while competing against a decently aged playerbase.

Play I made on my Ivern ADC account

Little known interaction:

  • Ivern can escape Jarvan IV's ultimate by Q dashing out of it at melee range

What goes through your mind when you're supporting an off-meta pick that you've never supported before?

Say for example, you're supporting a champ like Ivern, Viktor, or Urgot in the carry role, and you've never supported them before.

Is default response just to play passive, limit test, dodge the lobby, etc...?
