hi everyone! i’m kind of new to pc gaming (been 6 months) and i don’t have many gaming friends so im mostly lonely cause the very few ones I do, don’t play the kind of games I’d enjoy. I also have a small youtube channel where I speak about games (not promoting it) just mentioning that if you’d like to hear me speak and see the kind of games I’ve enjoyed or if i seem like someone you’d wanna be friends with. my channel is linked on my reddit profile by the way.

i’m kind of an introvert so i take my time before i start speaking on voice chats. i’m open to trying new games but just fyi I hate valo/csgo and games like that. however, I enjoy playing bf6 sometimes but again it’s not fun without an entire group. I used to play gta RP but that got boring after the server I played in went dead.

these days i’ve mostly been playing single-player story games. would like a change. my timezone’s cst but I stay up late these days. :)

just finished expedition 33 and i’m still thinking about the ending. i chose to side with alicia at the end, and now i’m wondering: since she brings everyone back and the gommage is gone, does that basically mean everyone in the painting can’t really die anymore? like if someone like gustav, sciel, lune or anyone at all in lumiere dies, can they just be painted back with chroma again, or is there still some rule or limit to how that actually works that i’m missing?

Games that I have already played like TLOU collection, RDR 2, Uncharted a Theif’s End, GTA V, Witcher 3 etc. Any games like these that are going most probably going to be on sale on steam and that I should purchase and play?

I don’t like games that are too lore heavy and that is why I liked Witcher 3 but not as much as TLOU, Uncharted, GTA V or RDR 2 so like more like the latter.

Also after being mostly disappointed with Outer Wilds and the fear of water with that one planet and dark space, I also wanna avoid games involving deep dark waters or like outer space.

I loved GTA V mainly because of Michael and his family drama and how detailed the game was. I mean I know nothing really beats Rockstar but like the details especially the humor, even the one on game’s social media. Loved it. Also loved Trevor’s weird personality. Franklin was mostly bland n boring but his interactions with Lamar and some other people were fun. I have also played GTA SA and GTA IV, San andreas’ was v nostalgic but the story is shit n very predictable where GTA IV is better than that but doesn’t beat GTA V for me being old and not immersive enough.

As for Uncharted, I have played the theifs collection and did NOT like the lost legacy’s story at all. One location mostly, boring shallow characters, no twists, very shitty overall and nothing compared to how amazing the Nathan one (Theif’s End) was. The Theif’s End had twists, unpredictability to the story, a love story, a brother’s bond, amazing unique locations, good humor. Basically all that is needed for a good story.

As for RDR2, I mean, one of the greatest games ever. I need not say much more.

Knowing all that, I would very much appreciate suggestions for games I should play.

Oh and by the way, I also did NOT like Life is Strange, too much of a walking sim and not interactive enough and a story I could not relate to or understand at all so refunded after 3-4 hours of gameplay.

P.S. I would love to preferably be able to play female protagonist games (even tho all the ones I have played with female protagonists have disappointed so far). I already have Tomb Raider on my wishlist so other than that.

P.P.S also played Mass effect Legendary Edition. Liked it but not looking for something spacey or that lore heavy at the moment as it’s probably not gonna be as good as Mass Effect and won’t impress me.

I cannot afford to spend so much on a movie ticket at the moment but would love to go watch Backrooms. I noticed there’s this first month free offer on the A24 website and ik that you get free movie ticket only opening weekend of an A24 movie. Those of you who recently maybe got a subscription, did you get the free ticket or its only when the movie is newly released? And of course, if anyone has a spare code for the Backrooms that they don’t play on using, please DM me. I would be extremely grateful

I wanna say something that might be unpopular but I am like honestly v disappointed in the GTA San Andreas story, even tho I loved the game as a kid. Back then I never really played the story, I just roamed around the map and enjoyed the gameplay. Years later I finally played it properly for the first time this month after hearing so much about how it has one of the best GTA stories, and yeah the beginning was actually really interesting when CJ is still in Grove Street and everything feels personal and grounded. But right after the Smoke betrayal it just started going downhill for me. CJ moves away and suddenly there’s all these new characters that I just didn’t really care about or find that interesting, except Catalina who was actually funny and kinda memorable. The Chinese guy, the FBI guy, the flying school stuff, the toy plane missions, all that just felt boring to me.

I also didn’t really get some parts like CJ randomly helping OG Loc and then suddenly switching to help Madd Dogg. And OG Loc basically ruining Madd Dogg’s life but then he never even snitches or mentions CJ, which felt weird. I kept hearing San Andreas has a better story than GTA V and I went in expecting something unpredictable, unique and funny but it honestly felt pretty predictable, especially the ending with killing Smoke, that was like the most obvious thing ever. Compared to GTA V where there are actual twists like Michael lying to Trevor and everything coming out later, that felt way more interesting to me. I know San Andreas is 20+ years old and I’m not talking about gameplay at all because I still love the vibe, the world, the music and the nostalgia, but the story just didn’t live up to the hype for me.

I just wanna hear other GTA San Andreas’ fans’ opinions on the story

I really don’t know how to fly a plane. Been stuck on this for 2 hours now. I need a way to skip this cause it is unfortunately mandatory for me to progress!! 😭😭 Somebody please help!!

I really really wanna play this game. Remember playing a free demo version on it literally on my phone when I was much younger. Couldn’t afford it back then. Cannot afford it right now.

The price I see on steam for the Definitive edition is so damn high, and over my budget. Wondering if this will ever be less than $15? 😭😭😭 Or always out of my budget?
