Arthur Reeves The anti Harvey Dent?

This character appears in the film, Mask of the Phantasm. What strikes me is that he's basically the antithesis of Harvey Dent. That is, a guy who wants to hunt down Batman, in contrast to Dent, who worked with Batman. He's a friend of Wayne's, just like Dent. And while Harvey wanted to imprison Thorne, Reeves was associated with Valestra in the past. Like Dent, they both end up insane.

It's also interesting how, in an animated film, you show the corruption of institutions.

If James Doakes had kept quiet

James is the police officer who was known for seeing something hidden in Dexter. But for me, his biggest mistake was passing on his suspicions to Dexter. If James had kept quiet, if he had befriended Dexter, if he had laughed along with him even knowing that Dexter was hiding something, it's possible that, in time, he would have exposed him.

Why didn't they bring Knox back for the sequels?

The last we heard of him was that he asked how the city would communicate with Batman, but what became of Knox after Batman 1989? Why wasn't he brought back for the sequels?

Why Kickboxing?

One thing that strikes me is that Kate uses kickboxing as a method of self-defense, and I wonder why kickboxing and not boxing or a martial art like Karate or Krav Maga, for example?

Would Catwoman's Year One origin have fit into the series?

As we all know, in TAS Catwoman's origin is that of a socialite, but her Year One origin could have worked. In Year One, Catwoman's origin is that of a prostitute/dominatrix. Could this origin have worked in TAS?

Columbo in McClane's place

Let's suppose MacClane and Holly aren't at Nakatomi Plaza the night Hans and his men attack. But instead of MacClane, there's Lieutenant Columbo. Could Columbo stop Hans and his men?

A questions from Valestra

In the movie Mask of the Phantom, Valestra was a mafia boss, but the question I ask you is: were Chucky, Sal, Buzz, and Jack Napier all members of Valestra's gang, similar to Tessio, Clemenza, and Luca being from Vito Corleone's gang, or was Chucky the boss of his own gang, Buzz of his, and Sal of his?

How did Jack manage to leave Valestra's gang? Because you're not supposed to be able to leave the mafia. The final question is, how has Valestra degenerated so much in the present that even Reeves tells him to get lost?

Was Joker defenseless in Mask of the Phantasm?

One thing I love about the movie is the fight between Joker and Phantasm. But I get the impression that Joker should have made sure that phantasm was dead. It's one of the few times we see Joker fight hand-to-hand.

Joker has no bodyguards or weapons there.

Is Joker defenseless?

Diego's arrest: A merit of Rafael's or a failure of Diego's?

When Don Rafael arrives at Don Diego's ranch, he already knows for sure that Diego is Zorro. Which leads me to the next question: Is Diego's arrest a credit to Rafael or a mistake on Don Diego's part?

How would Dr. Loomis have reacted to Michael Myers' family in 2007?

Let's suppose that Dr. Loomis, instead of being played by Malcolm, had been the character featured on Halloween night in 1978. How would he have reacted to that family?

An outburst of anger that reveals a lot.

The scene where Valestra visits Joker and reminds him that Joker's hands are stained with blood (much more so) than his own, and Joker has a fit of rage, speaks volumes. It's a reminder that Joker was actually a mob hitman, just another thug, a henchman who followed orders, not the great villain he is today. It's interesting how Valestra and Terry managed to push Joker's buttons.

A scene I love.

I love the scene where Love shows Alejandro her brother's head, and instead of having a fit of rage, Alejandro even reacts comically. I love it because it underscores that Vega's training isn't just physical but emotional, and that Alejandro has learned from it. It also serves to illustrate Love's sadism.

Why so serious?

One thing that's always struck me about Buffy and Angel is, why is it so serious? I mean, with Cordelia, Angel jokes around, he's much more relaxed, and he's even kind of funny. Why is everything so dramatic and serious with Buffy?

Was Jack Napier in love with Andrea and jealous of Wayne?

In other words, in the flashbacks of Mask of the Phantasm, when Jack sees Andrea he makes a gesture, and when he sees her with Wayne he seems to get angry and throws a cigarette butt at him. Was Jack in love with Andrea and jealous of Wayne before he became the Joker?

If Don Diego had killed Rafael at the hacienda.

Let's suppose Don Diego had killed Rafael when he went to arrest him, in that sword fight. What would have happened to Diego? Would Rafael's men have killed him, or arrested him? Would he have faced a public trial for killing the former governor of California? Would his identity as Zorro have been revealed?
