I had the 2026 Rogue SV AWD for a week and thought I’d give you a review!

I do have a full review on my channel but I thought I would give you a written post about my experience as well (link in comments). With my Ford Escape being in the shop for 3 weeks now, last week I had a Nissan Rogue SV AWD as a rental. This is the first time I’ve driven a Nissan vehicle for an extensive time. Now being that the Rogue is in the same class as my Escape and has the same engine here are the things I really like over my Escape. First thing I loved was the 1.5L Turbo 3 cylinder. My escape also has the same displacement and 3 cylinder but this one has my power at 201 compared to 185 HP. Although it did have a CVT, I was very impressed by its response time and didn’t have any clunkiness that my Escape has with the traditional 8 speed auto. The interior touch points for being 1 grade above base was very nice and seats felt fantastic probably the best I’ve felt in the segment. Interior cargo space is also great and felt that it can easily fit a bed if you ever want to go camping. Suspension was also a lovely feeling and didn’t feel too harsh over what I’ve felt from CR-V, RAV4 and my Escape. Now for the Pro Pilot Assist. The system works great on the highway but I didn’t like that I couldn’t use it in Eco mode. For some reason it stops the system from working when switching drive modes unlike other systems I’ve used. All in all it was a great CUV for daily commuting.

Interior shots of the base CN8 Elantra has been spotted by HealerTV in Korea. Looks like a traditional shifter is available 👀

Could potentially give us a preview at possibly a Manual N happening

The Nissan Altima Is Not Dead… Yet

After a report from Ward Auto Report stated that the Nissan Altima is being axed due to declining sales… well Nissan head of NA Product Ponz Pandikuthira has confirmed that it will not axing the Altima for the timing being. The brand plans to offer the Altima for at least the next few years. Originally, the Altima was going to be replaced by an all electric variant but has since been cancelled due to low demand for EV’s. As of right now the Altima Energy is still alive so go buy one!

Infiniti to launch 7 new vehicles from 2026-2030!

Just made a post on my instagram talking about it and thought I’d come over here and update yall on what’s going on. Full text down below

@infinitiusa today has confirmed to @detroitfreepress that the brand will have 7 new vehicles by the end of the decade!

Starting next year, a new RWD Sports Sedan, likely called Q50, will launch with a Twin Turbo V6 and will come in either a Manual Transmission or Automatic. Infiniti hasn’t confirmed if an AWD variant will come but expect the brand to offer one to compete against the likes of BMW and Mercedes.

In 2028, Infiniti will launch a new Compact SUV that will be solely Hybrid and use the same system as the next gen Nissan Rogue ePower. It uses a gas engine as a Generator while the wheels are powered by electric motors.

In 2029/2030 they will launch two new Body on Frame SUV’s that will compete in the luxury off road space that will take some engineering from the next generation XTerra. Both will be offered with V6 and V6 Hybrids.

Additionally, a new QX80 performance model will launch within this time frame that will have higher performance than any of Nissan or Infiniti’s current offerings.

By the time these models come out, Infiniti will be in 80-85% of the Luxury Market.

I finally found a stock Q50S Red Sport 400 to review and I was very impressed by it.

I’ve always been a fan of the Q50. It’s been one of those sedans that I’ve felt has been very under appreciated. My full review video link is in the comments.

I spent a week with the ‘26 Santa Fe and here is my thoughts.

For starters, this was a rental car as my Ford Escape is back at the dealership for the third time for the same issue (it’s a Ford thing). Since Ford doesn’t allow rental cars anymore for vehicles staying in the shop for an extensive time, I had the opportunity to drive the Santa Fe.

I know many have found the Santa Fe design to be a bit polarizing but as someone who love boxy designed vehicles it fit my design tastes to a tea. This was the SEL trim so second to base which I’m assuming is the most sold trim in the lineup. The engine is very very powerful and also very wheel slip happy. With it being the FWD version the car lost a lot of traction but that’s an issue that can be fixed via just giving light throttle input. I also suspect that it would feel drastically different with AWD. Also if you are looking for one I recommend not getting the early model years since that one had the 8 Speed DCT’s and those transmissions weren’t the best. This new 8 Speed auto is far smoother and better than that DCT. Last but not least the suspension was amazing. For a SUV around $39k I was extremely impressed with how soft the suspension was and the rebound. One of the smoothest suspension feelings I’ve had in any modern cars including luxury cars.

The interior amazing, I was able to fit loads of stuff into the rear compartment space for my mom and was very impressed by the width of the rear hatch opening. Rear 3rd row seats are okay for kids but not for tall adults like myself. 2nd row was actually very comfortable and loads of legroom spacing. In terms of the front seats they were great during the duration of driving to and from locations and the CarPlay worked every time I plugged in (this is a complaint I’ve had in my Escape). The one area it kinda lacked in was MPG and also not having an Eco mode. I averaged around 17 MPG after refuelling combining both city and Hwy. The last thing I was say that I hope they improve with the facelift is the touch controls for the climate. I found the fan speed button to be way too small and had no capacitive feedback for me to know what I’m doing. I would always wait till I’m at a stop light to adjust it.

I did do a video on it as well if yall would be interested in watching it. Which will be in the comments below
