Who are the Irish travellers?

I hope I don't open up a too controversial topic.

So from what I know, they live a bit like Romani, but are not of Indian ancestry.

I heard somewhere that their ancestors were persecuted by someone in the British Isles either on political or religious base, and they started to live outside of "mainstream society".

So how is it? Who are they?

What is the easiest way to open a personal fintech bank account in Cyprus?

I would prefer having a bank account there rather than in my country of origin, due to treating private property rights better in Cyprus.

Do I need proof of address, or tax number etc?

(I don't live in Cyprus)

What do I need to open a bank account in a country where I am not a tax resident?

Let's say I want to register my fintech account in Malta or Cyprus, what do I need?

For address do I need utility bills, do I need a local tax number etc?

I don't live there but prefer having an account in their jurisdiction than in the one of my citizenship.

How do people and vibe in each part of Brazil differ?

I am most interested in:

Curitiba

Recife

Rio de Janeiro

Sao Paulo

How are the people and vibe?

For something more personal about dating: I am European, tall, fit, kind of look like a German guy with Mediterranean tan. In women I like Hispanic facial features and that direct conversational style, and in body I like a strongly pear shape.

Where are the best places or how do they differ?

How did Eastern Prussia become Catholic?

So, as far as I know, Prussia was like a bastion of Protestantism for a while.

Then nowadays, most of its territory is part of Poland, where almost all of the population is Roman Catholic.

So how did they change from strongly Protestant to strongly Catholic?

Was it all about population exchange after WW1 and WW2 on such large scale that essentially they switched almost all Protestants with Catholics?

Where were the captured German soldiers between 1945 and 1948 that were not in the Soviet Union?

So, I read that the Soviet Union in some cases only released captured German soldiers in the 1950s, but also about 1 million POWs were supposedly held by the other allies until 1948-ish.

Where were these people after the end of the war in 1945 until their release in 1948-ish?

I quote a paragraph from a Wikipedia page about German prisoners of war from WW2:

"By 1948, the number of German internees still held in captivity by major Allied powers was as follows:

That is more than a million people combined for 3 years. Where were they?

What are some platforms for plus size dating that actually have users?

I know of one called Wooplus, but it has very few users.

On larger platforms like Tinder I haven't found a good way to filter for plus size only.

Does any of you guys have some good methods that work?

(For clarification: I am a normal size man in my twenties, looking for a plus size woman. I am in Europe, but I am open to traveling.)

How do worthy priesthood holders bless the sacrament in countries where the church has no meetinghouses?

So as far as I know, if someone travels to a region but cannot attend the meeting in person, he can call/text the closest bishop to authorize him to bless it for himself.

But what if there is no organized mission within that country?

Example: You work on a project in Algeria for two months.

Do most people genuinely not know nor care about laws?

I had this thought the other day that it seems to me that some people truly either don't know laws or don't care about them.

And I don't mean minor traffic rules, but basic contract and privacy rights and principles.

For example, if you stay in a traditional minded place, "Mr Workingclass Monkey" would not paint your house the color you want, due to it being wrong in his traditions.

It seems those people just copy some methods done by someone they respect or fear, and just stick to it, even at the cost of breaching contracts or damaging someone else's property or reputation.

What do you guys think?

How to use Visa Direct just one time?

I want to send money from one account to the other (same owner, different country).

In this specific case bank transfer would need a few days, but card payment is instant, so someone recommended Visa Direct.

Although it seems to me that Visa Direct is a recurring service, not just for one payment.

What can I do?

Is there a way to pay from one Google pay card to another instantly?

I want to make a transfer between my accounts, but it might take a few days due to some reasons, anyways.

If I got both the cards in my Google wallet, is there a way to just pay from one to the other?

(Card payment is instant, but bank transfer is not instant in this specific case)

Is every woman short in Guatemala?

It seems like a good place to visit but statistically they have some of the shortest average height of any country in the world.

Are there tall ethnic groups, or are they all just equally short all over the country? If that makes sense.

What are some walkable major cities that cheap and reasonably calm in Latin America?

I would like to visit Latin America and spend some time there, after having lived in the Nordics for a while (for sensory comparison).

I would be on a backpacker budget and would love to meet new people, but I don't want to get a mental breakdown from some absurdly chaotic environment with car horns and loud music all over etc. If that makes sense.

What are the best places to go, or the ones to surely not go?

I mean mostly major cities with or around airports, and with functional public transport.

(Naples and Rome are my limit of tolerance in terms of chaos, where I felt like I just wanted to escape ASAP, so something better than that.)

I found the gas canister in the shop, but not the top thing.

The only gas adapter I saw seemed to be bigger, like for a larger gas tank for heating a larger pot.

If I just buy the canister is there a way to use it, or absolutely not ? (Without it blowing up)
