What can I say other than “How are you?”

There is this guy that I really like. While it is nice to ask “How are you?”, it’s such an easy and common question. I want to inquire about him in a way that lets him know that I care and that I see him. I want him to almost in a sense be caught off guard by the fact that someone notices him and is genuinely interested. So what greetings and other things can I say to him?

Also, for a bonus, what are some things I could talk to him about? We’re both in the choir, and we sit on two different ends of the room. He will shake my hand and ask me how I’m doing from time to time, but I really want to get closer to him.

Most of all, I want him to be comfortable around me. I hate it when people try to go straight to relationships instead of creating a friendship first. So that’s what I want to do. I don’t think he likes me. My sister is also competing for him, and it really hurts because I don’t fall often, but this time I really care. This has sort of strayed from my original question, but how do I approach this relationship?

He knows that I draw and sometimes make bracelets. After I made him a drawing (that I believe touched his heart), my sister found out and made him a bracelet. This happened tonight and he put it on. So he knows that part about me. I don’t really feel like there’s ever a time to just talk to him, because he comes right on time for rehearsals, and it gets so hectic afterwards. People are always around, and he is always talking to someone.

How to tell a guy he looks handsome in an innocent and touching way?

I want to compliment him in a way that makes him feel good and think about it often. How do I make him feel good and know that I notice him?

What is something someone said that stole your heart?

What was the thing they said that made you look at them differently? What made you fall for them? What made you know they cared?

What is wrong with my plant?

It is drooping. I watered it 14 days ago and brought it to my window, and it had begun to stand straight up, as it had previously been growing sideways. I try to keep my curtains open, but due to privacy, it sometimes stays closed. Do I need to water it more, or do I need to try to keep my curtains open more?

My twin steals everything from me— boys, hobbies, my LIFE.

My twin and I are fraternal. We grew up doing the same things, getting the same stuff, etc. But we had different interests and hobbies. As we’ve grown up, she has started collecting my hobbies as well and it’s been pretty suffocating because she’s more outgoing and it sometimes feels like I don’t have anything to offer. The boys usually gravitate toward her. I feel like a shadow a lot of the time, because I typically like to remain mysterious, but she is more of a tell it all, show it off type of person. So it often feels like my life is on display. I am constantly in search of new things to do that are unique to me, but it feels like she’s taken everything I love. And I’m running out of options. I feel like I can never find my own identity because everything I like or want for myself, when she sees me do it, she doesn’t stop until she does it to. It even trickles down to boys. She always flirts with the boys that I like. I made a drawing for a boy that I liked, and she made him a bracelet the next day. We don’t discuss boys, but it’s pretty obvious that I like him because I don’t do things like that for people. I just feel like everything is a competition. I can never have anything for myself, and it makes me so anxious. I feel like I need to hide all the time and tip toe because if she sees me doing something that I like , she will steal it. Being a twin has given me such bad identity issues that sometimes, I don’t know if I can take it. Her argument is always that she likes or wants to do this stuff, too, and that I can’t stop her just because I want it. And she is always so heated every time I talk about it, that I avoid the confrontation because I feel like I’ll cry from how hurt I am. And even when I make my own friends, she will hang out with them, too, and try to charm them into being her friends, too. And the crazy thing is that the will talk about the things that I introduced into her life. Whether I’d be music that I played aloud so much that she heard, or shows that she’s seen because I happened to be watching it in her vicinity. I can’t even have my own friends.

Back to the boys. I don’t feel comfortable talking to her about stuff like that because it never goes as planned. She definitely will not back down, and I don’t feel like I have a chance with anyone. Anything I do, she will try to top it, and it makes me feel so bad and defeated. What can I do?

I don’t know if I’ll find any answers or anything, but I just needed to vent. Maybe someone else has been through this. Maybe someone else has the answers. I don’t know.

I texted my crush. Any Opinions?

I met this guy at choir camp (he’s a junior) and I really like him. We’ve only talked one time by ourselves and it got interrupted (it felt like a movie). But I feel like I’ve been kind of avoiding him. I got a new hairstyle the other day and he spoke to me. I’ve been trying my to find a way to break the ice and sort of get closer to him. The only thing I could think of was drawing him. I worked up the nerve to finally send the text the other day and this is how it went. Do you guys think he is into me?

He just changed his profile picture, too. I’m not sure if I had anything to do with that.

I can’t really read him through text, and it’s been bothering me. I was too scared to tell him that it was because I liked him, so I just told him that I liked his energy/essence. What do you guys think?🫣

Am I being too much of a bother? I’ve been thinking the text interaction over and feeling like a nuisance all day…

People are nicer when I wear weave.

Has anyone else experienced this? People that usually don’t talk to me talk to me, and I get a lot more smiles. Nine times out of ten, if you see me, I’m wearing my natural hair. However, whenever I get braids or wear weave, people always treat me different. It’s like I’m no longer invisible. I like how I’m treated, but I can never really feel good about it because I know it’s not truly me. Am I the only one?

Bored with everything. I don’t know what’s wrong and I’m worried.

Nothing seems appealing. I don’t find satisfaction or joy towards doing the things that I used to love. I’m not enthusiastic about anything. I don’t even like being on my phone anymore. I feel so empty all the time and there is no way to fix it. I feel so bad because there doesn’t seem like any solution. For a while, my phone sufficed, but I can’t stand being on it anymore. How do I get over this? I want to have fun again. I want to feel like me again. I want to find something that makes me happy.

I feel like I’ve hit a rock wall. Nothing excites me anymore

I feel like I’ve hit a rock wall—YouTube doesn’t excite me anymore, I used to love reading(not even that long ago, maybe weeks ago), but it feels like I can’t concentrate anymore because I’m so bored, watching tv doesn’t draw me in anymore, I used to crochet while watching tv, but the thought of doing it now seems futile, I don’t find joy in making music anymore(it just seems like a chore). It got to the point where after getting home today, I was so overwhelmed by boredom that I went straight to sleep. At 8pm! That is unheard of. I definitely don’t like this feeling. I’ve been around people all day for the past week( I kind of have to), but i haven’t made any genuine friends, and I feel horrible about my social interactions this week. It feels like I can’t get anything right. I don’t know what to do anymore. My only escape is going to sleep.

How do I make my plants happier and healthier?

My aloe vera plants don’t seem to be as happy as I want hem to. Sometimes, they droop. One of them has a slight bend to it, and it also has another leaf that leans over the side of the container instead of sticking straight up.

Another one is very little and doesn’t seem to ever improved. It seems like it use to be doing better, but I haven’t changed anything.

I have gone to a schedule of watering them once every 20 days. Is this a good watering schedule?

Please let me know what I can do to make my plants perky and happy. Thanks!

How do you guys meditate?

I really want to start meditation to improve my mood, handle stress, and add peace to my wellbeing. I hear everyone rave about how meditation has had a drastic impact on their lives, and I am seeking that effect. I’m just not sure which way to approach it. I tried just sitting cross legged with my eyes closed once, but it felt like I was nearing sleep. I might have AuDHD, which could possibly make it a little harder to focus sometimes, but I really want to add this practice to my life for my betterment. Any suggestions?

What is this rash on my arm?

This isn’t the first time this has appeared in the same spot on my arm. It started around 2 years ago, when it appeared on both of my arms in the same spot and stayed for around a month. I believe it disappeared when I applied some shea butter, but I can’t remember because it was so long ago. Every time that is appears, it always starts as a bug bite. It literally looks JUST like a mosquito bite. But when I scratch it, the whole area turns red and WON’T STOP ITCHING! I will scratch it in my sleep and it’s like it’s never ending. It has been like this for about a week and it doesn’t seem like it will be wearing down anytime soon. PLEASE HELP. It’s localized, because everytime that is happens (every few years), it is always in the SAME spot. I have been scratching it so much that there are now sores on top of it but, even still, the itching is killing me! Does anyone know what this is? Please let me know if you have any idea and how to make it go away.

I also forgot to mention, I have been putting shea butter on it this time as well, but nothing has helped and the itching persists, so there goes that remedy.

I need some good romance movie and tv show recommendations

Background info:

Favorite show: glee
Other shows I’ve enjoyed: Gilmore girls

Favorite movies: rocky, avatar, pretty woman, the proposal, the notebook, etc.

Favorite book series: shatter me
Other books I’ve enjoyed: the summer I turned pretty, eragon, the inheritance games, etc.

I want some good romance movies/shows that pull you in. Where the girl isn’t overly put together, but the handsome guy falls for her. This mainly. Or where she falls for her bestfriend (best friends to lovers).
