My derm recommended me to stop using my Cerave Blemish Control Cleanser and use Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser because I'm already on tret. I made the switch but now I'm getting a breakout on my chin, which I believe Cerave Blemish Control was keeping at bay. I also feel like Cetaphil doesn't clean my sunscreen completely, although I may be wrong!

Is there any other product you might recommend? I've heard good things about LRP Caring Wash but haven't tried it yet.

My placement is starting in 2 weeks and I feel myself feeling a cocktail of excitement and anxiety! I'm doing Business with Economics so my classes will be KS4 (GCSE) and KS5 (A levels and BTEC). I feel like they'd give me more Y10 and Y12 classes since Y11 and Y13 are exam years and more high stake, would that be a correct assumption?

Could anyone tell a bit about how their first weeks went, and what things they did day-to-day? Approximately when did you start teaching your first classes? Did your department give you lots of resouces to use or just a SOW and left you to you prepare on your own? How much downtime did you have during the day? Were you able to make any friends at school?

My first placement starts in 2 weeks (Lead Partner Route) and I'm wondering if I should buy an insulated lunch bag and container to bring to school. How was lunch usually handled during your placements? Did you have a staff kitchen where you could place your lunch in a fridge, or were you able to buy lunch at the cafeteria? Is there usually enough time for a proper lunch break? Thank you!

Hello, I'm an international student due to start my PGCE this September in the University of Roehampton. I applied through the Lead Partner route, so my main provider is a college in London, and it is the responsibility of the college to apply to DBS on my behalf, not the university's. Due to this route, my placement will start earlier than other PGCE students, and I'll be in school from September 4th. All the more reason to worry if my DBS will arrive on time.

The main problem is that, my advisor tells me I need a UK address to apply for DBS. This is a non-negotiable. But I will only have a UK address once I'm accepted to the uni halls on August 30th. I tried opening a Monzo bank account earlier using a friend's address, but it didn't work because Monzo asked for a proof of address and of course I don't have one.

So, it seems, I'll only be able to apply to DBS after August 30th, and there is no way my DBS will be ready for the first 2-3 weeks of my placement. Also, Uni of Roehampton insists that my DBS check has to be completed before enrolment day, which is on August 27th, 3 days before my entry into the halls.

I'm trying to solve this with the university and the provider but the only conclusion is being added to complex email loops with many MANY different parties cc'd who share conflicting information with each other.

I'm at my wit's end. If anyone has gone through this, I'm open to all sorts of advice. Thank you.

I have the Children Stay Later mod from Midge but it isn't working perfectly atm. Kids do stay later if their parents aren't present, but if their parents are also invited the parent will pick them up and leave together at 8 PM. I'm not sure what the conflicting mod is, but I'm guessing maybe Visitor Controller? Should CSL load after VC? Can you think of another mod that might be messing with CSL?

Chatgpt suggested me Heather pop for my complexion but I feel like black honey pop or cola pop might look better! Unfortunately I can't try them in store as our local store doesn't hold those shades. Does anyone use any of these shades and can share a review?

Hello, I just used a tester for La Roche Posay UVMune Oil Control Fluid in the store and the formula had tiny white specks/grains alongside the fluid. Not many, but enough to make application unpleasant. The kind of specks that appear when a product pills, but they didn't just appear when I rubbed it on, they came straight out of the bottle like that.

I wonder if the tester product was faulty, or is the actual sunscreen a bit grainy like that? If anyone who owns the product can attest, I'd appreciate it!

I have one for whites, one for black/darks and one for colours. I actually want to get a separate one to distinguish lighter colours from the brights. Wondering if anyone else does the same?

I just got into using rubycell air cushion puffs for using with liquid and cream concealer and blush. I wonder what is the lifecycle like with these puffs? Can I wash them every week like I wash my brushes? Or are they supposed to be discarded and replaced after some use?
