howdy! so, first paycheck was last friday. 30% went to savings but does anyone else feel like their first paycheck went straight to work? i find myself with a cart full of work gloves, knee pads, a holster, a box cutter +hostler, insoles and a few other items. i know that like. it’s not gonna be every paycheck i’ll spend on work but i just wanted to see if anyone else felt that way haha!
edit! just wanted to say i know that target provides some of these items but i have my reasons for buying my own! :) also the holsters specifically we barely have any

anyway. opinions? honestly i have my complex characters but this is one of them that i just like as a simple character design. and i dont want an on the nose name (ex. boxy) i was thinking about Benny but im not sure.
also just an FYI: the character was not inspired by FoxiBoxi.
actually horrified oh my god i walked into the front family bathroom by self check out and oh my god it was everywhere but the toilet it was on the WALLS AND THE CEILING. THE CEILING. THERE WAS HAND MARKS DRAGGING IT ON THE WALLS. i’m fucking horrified. i felt like the one daddy daycare scene.
someone i knew on tiktok drew fanart of one of my OCs and while i think this looks cool… the procreate side bar doesn’t look right. aswell as his hat has two logos that don’t match up with the characters hat
almost no information about this doll to put out. found in a dallas texas goodwill, was holding a flat basket (still have it but won’t stay put), the rest is sturdy. the rose in her hair seems way newer than everything else. one pin in the back of her leg and one pinning the rose, much larger than other dolls i own (2024 Daiso geisha doll in comparison in the 12th photo) no branding. posable fingers to a certain extent. rough and course hair that is hard to keep neat. any chance anyone knows it? i’ve had her for 3 years and have been searching but have not found anything

It’s my 10th day, and so far i love my job so much! it’s my first job, i love helping guests and talking to them, i love saying hi to my coworkers, I like dancing to the random music on the radio while i’m putting toilet paper on the shelf. i love my job. I’ve smiled the entire time in front of any guests, kind or rude. a few people said it was just first job optimism and it’s gonna fade. is it? i don’t want it to. i see the flaws in target, and i understand why others feel the way they do. but will i feel the same way? does working retail genuinely suck the joy out of you like I’ve heard? the leg and back pain is something that doesn’t phase me, i deal with it on a daily basis anyway. so is my optimism gonna fade working here?
okay so i’m new! this is my first job and im a closing expert. i’m almost always pulling and pushing right now. and my hands are VERY prone to cuts, scrapes and cracking from being dry. (i’ve tried lotion.) and after getting a cut from cardboard today, i noticed my hands are super dry, like dryer than they are in the winter. i am constantly climbing ladders, grabbing, throwing and ripping open boxes because i can’t use box cutters yet. none of my coworkers who work in the back wear gloves so would it be like extra or embarrassing to do so?
