Is the Gaahleri Seeker airbrush good for a Warhammer beginner? (Priming, blending, and glow effects)

Is the Gaahleri Seeker airbrush good for a Warhammer beginner? (Priming, blending, and glow effects)

Hey everyone,

I’m looking to get into airbrushing my Warhammer miniatures and I'm currently looking at the Gaahleri Airbrush Seeker set. It comes with the 0.3mm and 0.5mm needle/nozzle setup and the drop-in style nozzle.

My main goals are:

  • Priming and Basecoating: I want to use the 0.5mm needle to speed up my army painting and get smooth primer coats down.
  • Color Blending: I want to get smooth gradients and transitions on armor plates and cloaks.
  • Glow Effects (OSL): I really want to try doing plasma glows and magical effects using the 0.3mm needle.

For those who have used this specific brush, how does it hold up for miniature painting? Is the drop-in nozzle actually as easy to clean and beginner-friendly as it looks?

Thanks for any advice or tips!

Would these Ironjawz Brute bits work for 40K Orks?

Would these Ironjawz Brute bits work for 40K Orks?

I’m thinking about getting this sprue of Games Workshop Ironjawz Brute bits to use for some Ork conversions.

Has anyone used these bits on 40K Orks before? Do they fit the scale well, especially the weapons and arms? I’m mainly looking to add some extra character to my Orks and make them look a bit more brutal.

Would love to see any examples if you’ve used them!

How would you complete this Battle Tactic with Sons of Behemat?

I’m playing Sons of Behemat and trying to complete Affray: Form a Wall. I’m the blue/Defender on this map.

The Battle Tactic requires 2 or more friendly units to be wholly outside my territory, wholly within 6” of my territory, and within 3” of each other.

Because Mega-Gargants have such huge bases, I’m not sure where I should position them to make this work.

Could anyone show me on the map where you would place the two Mega-Gargants to complete this Battle Tactic? I’d really appreciate it!

What are Chaos Knights’ best and worst matchups?

Hey everyone,

I play Chaos Knights and I’m trying to get a better idea of which armies are our best and worst matchups.

From your experience, which armies do Chaos Knights generally do well against, and which ones are our worst matchups?

I’m interested in both competitive and casual experience. Also, are there any specific units or playstyles that make a matchup particularly difficult or easy?

Would love to hear what you guys think!

My Own Ork Clan: The Frostskullz

**The Frostskullz of Chosin**
Chosin was a dead world.
Ice and snow covered almost everything, stretching across the remains of fallen cities and forgotten ruins. The temperature was so cold that almost nothing could survive for long. Any creature unlucky enough to wander across the frozen wasteland would eventually freeze to death.
But the Orks of Chosin didn’t die.
They **adapted**.
The Frostskullz had lived on Chosin for generations, and the planet had changed them in ways even they didn’t understand. Their once-vibrant green skin had faded into shades of **grey and dirty white**, perhaps because the fungal part of their bodies was slowly dying in the freezing temperatures.
Or perhaps it was simply another example of the strange way Orks could adapt to almost any environment.
Whatever the reason, the Frostskullz had become the **apex predators of Chosin**.
They had learned one very important lesson.
**You have to keep fighting to stay alive.**
At least, that’s what they believed.
Whenever a Frostskull punched something, chopped something, or smashed something into the ground, they felt a strange tingling sensation throughout their bodies.
They didn’t know what it was.
They didn’t know why it happened.
But they knew that they hadn’t frozen to death yet.
So obviously…
**Fighting was keeping them warm.**
It didn’t actually work.
But nobody had told the Frostskullz that.
Their Weirdboyz claimed that the strange sensation was a gift from Gork and Mork, proof that their gods wanted them to keep fighting.
The Frostskullz didn’t need any more convincing.
Fighting wasn’t just something they enjoyed.
**Fighting was survival.**
This belief also meant that the Frostskullz developed a particular hatred for shooting.
Why waste time standing around firing guns when you could run straight towards your enemy and smash them with a choppa?
Worse still, standing around meant getting cold.
“Shootin’ makes ya freeze faster,” the Frostskullz would say.
Nobody knew where the idea came from.
Nobody questioned it.
After all, the Frostskullz were still alive.
Of course, being Orks, they weren’t completely stupid.
They had vehicles.
Lots of vehicles.
The Frostskullz believed that vehicles were the fastest way to get into a fight. Their ramshackle Trukks, Battlewagons and other war machines tore across the frozen wasteland, carrying mobs of Orks straight towards whatever unfortunate creature happened to be nearby.
The vehicles themselves had to be kept warm too.
And the Frostskullz had discovered the perfect solution.
**Give them a good crumping.**
If an engine started making strange noises, they hit it.
If it stopped working, they hit it harder.
If that didn’t work, they hit it even harder.
And if the machine exploded?
Well…
It probably wasn’t warm enough.
For generations, this was how the Frostskullz survived Chosin.
They fought.
They hunted.
They crumped.
And they survived.
Until one day, something changed.
The Frostskullz felt it.
A massive surge of **WAAAGH! energy** swept across Chosin.
The Weirdboyz screamed.
The Orks looked towards the sky.
Something was calling to them.
Something bigger.
Something louder.
Something with enough fighting to keep even the coldest Ork warm.
The Frostskullz saw visions of a world engulfed in war.
Endless armies.
Burning cities.
Explosions.
And more enemies than they could possibly count.
The Weirdboyz finally understood.
There was a bigger hunt waiting for them.
A place where they would never run out of enemies.
A place where they would never have to worry about freezing again.
**Armageddon.**
The Frostskullz gathered their mobs.
Their engines roared to life.
Choppas were sharpened.
Guns were loaded—although nobody was particularly interested in using them.
The Frostskullz were leaving Chosin.
They were going somewhere warmer.
They were going somewhere with a **lot** of fighting.
As the first vehicles disappeared into the frozen horizon, one Frostskull Nob looked back at the world that had made them.
“Gonna miss dis place?”
Another Ork shrugged.
“Nah.”
He grinned.
“Too cold.”
The engines roared louder.
The Waaagh! grew.
And the Frostskullz headed towards their greatest hunt yet.
**ARMAGEDDON.**
They were coming.
And they were going to make damn sure they stayed warm.

Eat ’Em Alive hahah — 2000/2000 pts

Hey everyone!

I’m about to get into Ogor Mawtribes and I’ve put together this 2,000-point list, but I don’t actually have the Ogor book yet, so I have no idea what’s considered good or bad at the moment.

I’d really appreciate some help improving the list and knowing what units are worth taking.

I’m mainly looking for advice on what I should add, remove or swap out. I’d also like to know if there are any units that are considered must-haves or any that I should avoid.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Anyone have spare Ironjawz bits?

Hey everyone!

Does anyone have any spare Ironjawz bits they don’t need? I’m looking for things like heads, weapons, armour, shields, logos/symbols, scrap pieces and other random bits that I could use for kitbashing my Orks.

I’m happy to buy them or pay for postage. If you have a bits box with any Ironjawz stuff you’re looking to get rid of, please let me know!

Thanks!

Confused about the new models—are Mancrushers actually getting replaced?

Hey fellow stompers,

With all the hype around the new mid-sized gargant reveals (the Boss-stompers and Rock-hurlers), I’m a bit confused about the future of our classic Mancrusher Gargants.

Are the Mancrushers getting phased out entirely/replaced by these new models, or are the new ones just a separate unit size to bridge the gap between Mancrushers and Mega-Gargants?

I have a bunch of Mancrushers sitting on my desk and I'm hesitant to finish painting them if they are about to become obsolete or squatted when the new Battletome drops. Does anyone know if they are staying in the roster?

Thanks!

Need help making a full water world for the Bloop mod

Hey everyone! 👋

I’m trying to make a Minecraft Bedrock world for the Bloop add-on, and I want the entire world to basically be a massive ocean 🌊

I’m playing on Xbox, and my friends are on PlayStation, so it needs to work on Bedrock and preferably in multiplayer.

What would be the best way to make a completely water/ocean world with things like an ocean floor, shipwrecks, ocean monuments, etc.?

Is there an add-on, world template, or world-generation method that would work for this?
Any help or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Question about Maw-Cult Fanatics + Redd the Maw

I’ve just noticed that Redd the Maw has a 1 CP Hero phase ability, From the Depths of the Cauldron, which lets a friendly non-Hero Ogor unit use Eat ’Em Alive as if it were the end of the turn and it were eligible to do so.

Does this mean Redd can effectively let a unit trigger Eat ’Em Alive early in the Hero phase, meaning that unit can then count as having used it for the Maw-Cult Fanatics healing at the end of the turn?

And because the Maw-Cult healing says to pick each friendly unit that “has used Eat ’Em Alive this battle,” does that mean once a unit has used it, it remains eligible for the D3 healing for the rest of the battle?

Just want to make sure I’m understanding the interaction correctly.

How good are Emperor’s Children in melee?

Hey everyone!

I’m thinking about getting into Emperor’s Children and I was wondering how good you guys think they are in melee?

Are they actually strong in close combat, or do they rely more on shooting and buffs? Which units would you recommend for a melee-focused army?

Would love to hear your experiences and advice! 😊
