Stuck on this loading symbol on ABC iview login page (iPad mini 4, iPadOS 15.8.8)

Hey guys.

I am trying to log into ABC iview (via the app) on my iPad mini 4. The app itself meets the minimum iPadOS requirement for the device, logging into ABC iview meets the requirements as well (requires iOS/iPadOS 14 or later, I am running iPadOS 15.8.8).

I then end up in this situation, where I am stuck in the spinning yellow loading symbol (pictured above).

Any ways I can fix this issue successfully? I just want to be able to log into ABC iview on said device.

Thanks very much.

Karl Stefanovic set to be dumped from radio show with Eddie McGuire after two episodes

Broadcaster Karl Stefanovic is set to lose his weekly show on radio network Gold days after he was ousted by Nine following a string of incidents culminating in a controversial interview with British extreme-right activist Tommy Robinson.

Stefanovic this year began hosting a weekly radio show, called The Long Weekend, with long-time broadcaster Eddie McGuire on the station, owned by ARN, which recently settled a lawsuit brought by former star presenter Kyle Sandilands.

The one-time Nine star did not appear on last Friday’s episode following the furore over his interview with Robinson and departure from the television network, and is not expected to return, according to industry sources, with ARN making a business decision to move on from Stefanovic.

During last week’s episode, McGuire promised that Stefanovic would appear on this Friday’s show to speak exclusively about the circumstances surrounding his departure from Nine. That interview is no longer going ahead.

McGuire will continue hosting a similar show with ARN, although the finer details of its post-Stefanovic future are still being determined. The radio company had previously faced an activist campaign by the Mad F---ing Witches group targeting Sandilands.

For the first time in Newcastle (and NNSW), an early opt-out from 9News Afternoon (Sydney) for Tipping Point AU at 4:30pm...

Tipping Point AU is currently airing in NNSW right now as of typing and making this post. Here is what happened on NNSW TV screens before (and at) 4:30pm this arvo.

9HD Newcastle (via 9Now).

Will the new NBN News be “entirely local” or go statewide for NNSW?

Hey Newcastle.

Before it airs at 5:30pm, I was just wanting to get your thoughts (and predictions) on the new NBN News service.

Do you guys reckon this arvo’s 5:30pm NBN News will be “entirely local” as WIN states, or will it be a single statewide bulletin for NNSW (disguised as 5 different bulletins for each market)? Note that be it the former or the latter, local weather will still remain.

For me, I strongly believe it’ll be the latter, and I would be totally surprised if WIN does actually stick to its guns on its commitment to “dedicated local news”. But I would like to get your honest thoughts on the whole thing before it airs.

Thanks Newcastle.

New promo for NBN News at 5:30pm on weekdays. Debuted this evening.

Logo still retains the Nine dots in it, even though the NBN News logo in this poster removed them.

u/Radio_TVGuy — 9 days ago

NBN Television's Facebook post today. The Nine dots have officially been removed from the NBN News logo in this updated guide.

We now have a new front cover for Newcastle's original TV news service.

The beginning of the end, as I see it, for NBN News. WIN are about to begin running this service down until the eventual consolidation of studio production to Wollongong (and rebranding of this service to WIN News) occurs.

My thoughts on what's being said in the program details of that poster...

  1. >!"Half an hour of dedicated local news". More like, half an hour of dedicated Northern NSW news. The average amount of local news content during the composite hour-long bulletins were about 5 or so mins long. You would need local news from places like Tamworth and Coffs Harbour to fill in the dedicated "half an hour" timeslot. I would be very surprised if I am wrong on this front, but I strongly believe the end result of this new product will probably end up being a single statewide NNSW NBN News bulletin.!<
  2. >!"State, National and International News with Peter Overton". Trying to hide the Sydney part, eh WIN? I know all too well that this Peter Overton 9News bulletin is coming from Sydney. It's a Sydney bulletin, or should I say, #SoSydney (yeah KIIS, had to get that one from you lol). And a lot of the state news on 9News Sydney is just Sydney stuff and what's happening in Sydney. There's no need to watch a Sydney bulletin on NBN (or WIN as it's now known in NNSW). Anyone wanting Sydney news in Newcastle could easily just go to Seven or 10 (or watch Channel 9 Sydney via 9Now) instead. NBN News served the people of Northern NSW every single night at 6pm. It was uniquely Newcastle, and uniquely Northern NSW. It was No.1 across NNSW for a reason, and that - very simply enough - cannot be replaced.!<

What other options are there for NNSW TV news viewers to get local news?

>!7NEWS Regional NSW's bulletins in Tamworth and Coffs are about to see a huge boom in the ratings at 6pm on weeknights as a result of this move. Because it'll be the only local news service still on at 6pm in these regions. Newcastle doesn't have another local alternative (apart from 7NEWS noodle updates for Newcastle and the Central Coast fed into ad breaks and 10 News noodle updates doing the same thing, though they are still being done by WIN in Wollongong - the very TV network that has yanked the nightly NBN News service).!<

Here is how tonight's final 1-hour NBN News nightly bulletin ended...

It finished just minutes ago as of making this post.

The end of an era. From tomorrow night, Newcastle viewers will get 9News Sydney at 6pm, 7 nights a week. From this Monday, NBN News moves to 5:30pm and will air weekdays. Dubbed as 90 minutes of news, in reality it's just a half-hour regional NNSW bulletin at 5:30pm then 9News Sydney at 6pm.

This is the beginning of the end of the NBN brand (and NBN News). I suspect this historic news service will eventually soon fall victim to consolidation to Wollongong, and with it, a single statewide NNSW bulletin disguised as 5 different bulletins for each market (and under the WIN News banner). Can't trust WIN to keep things as they are, let alone retaining the NBN News name long into the future. WIN are doing what they need to do in order to survive.

So, in its current form, R.I.P NBN News, 1972-2026.

And also, R.I.P NBN TV, 1962-2026.
