Can somebody explain the benefits of credit cards with your own experience? What I mean is how you use it apart from getting discounts on Amazon and cashback payments?

My father is opposed to credit cards and I want one but the problem with the high interest dissuade my father and me as well.

The Chhattisgarh High Court has said government-run schools cannot compel students to recite Hindu prayers or Vedic hymns during morning assemblies, reaffirming the constitutional principles of secularism and freedom of conscience.

The observation came during a hearing before Justice Amitendra Kishore Prasad on a petition challenging a June 12 circular issued by the State School Education Department, which directed schools to include the Saraswati Vandana and Gayatri Mantra alongside the national anthem and national song.

The petition, filed by former Chhattisgarh Waqf Board chairman Abdul Salam Rizvi, former Minority Department chairman Mahendra Chhabda, and social activist Shafique Ahmed, argued that the directive infringed upon students' freedom of conscience.

During the hearing, the state government informed the court that the circular had not yet been implemented in any government school. The court disposed of the petition while granting liberty to the petitioners to approach it again if any child is coerced into participating in such prayers.

As an Indian born after the economic liberalisation and internet. Can some explain broadly how it was different from today?

I heard people talking about the difficulties before it. I have some understanding like how you required a referral to open a bank account. You need direct access to someone who knows someone for things to be done.

I remembered when many old relatives were discussing how they got the full amount of subsidy each time in the bank account. They still had to pay money for getting their names to be registered but they were more content with it. I had a different reaction to the situation.

I think for many it is an improvement that they see compared to the younger generation.

What do you think?

did indian empires had policy or system similar to Rank Adjustments via Wealth?

I read about the system of Rank Adjustments via the Wealth in the western empires, and the Chinese empires. I know about the mansabdari system of Mughals and that they later sold the titles for cash.

Does ancient to mediaeval india had such policies and how they differ from the other empires?
