Long before he became the Demon King, Zetheo was an exorcist named Louken, who lived and fought during the Golden Age of the order. He was a close friend and fellow member of Father Cassian's unit, back when Cassian himself was still known as Exorcist Cassian.

Together, Louken and Cassian fought countless demons and eventually confronted and defeated the previous Demon King. However, during their escape from the Demons collapsing stronghold, Louken was left behind after urging Cassian to flee without him.

Louken was believed to be dead but the dying King had survived. Finding Louken's body, he used it to restore himself, eventually merging his essence with the fallen exorcist.
Decades later, the Demon King emerged once more, reborn in Louken's body under a new name, Zetheo.

Karras is a veteran member of the Banishers, an elite unit within the Exorcist Order tasked with hunting the most dangerous demonic threats. At sixteen, he earned their attention after single-handedly slaying a powerful high-grade demon to save a village. Taken in and trained by them, he joined the Banishers at eighteen and has served among their ranks ever since.

Known across the world as the Fiendslayer, Karras holds the highest kill count in the Order's history and is one of the few exorcists to have ever defeated Father Cassian in a duel.
