Which West End productions do you want to see transfer to Broadway this season?

With Paranormal Activity, Much Ado About Nothing, Inter Alia, Evita, and Paddington transferring to Broadway for this 2026-27 Broadway season, which West End shows do you want to see it making a leap across the pond for this season? I would like to see All My Sons with Bryant Cranston, and Les Liaisons Dangereuses with Lesley Manville transferring to Broadway for this season. But what do you guys want to see make the jump? Which West End productions are at the top of your personal Broadway wishlist for this season?

Why does Universal Basic Guys feel like a simulated corporate fever dream?

I need to release the stupid for a second because I tried giving this show a fair shot. The concept of two guys getting free basic income after being replaced by robots actually sounds like a decent setup for a satirical cartoon, but the execution feels like it was engineered in a lab to be the most generic thing on TV.

The main characters are just an absolute flatline. Mark Hoagies is supposed to be the confident but dumb leader, but his entire personality is just shouting or doing something dangerous without any actual charm. It gets exhausting so fast. Hank is the sidekick brother who just goes along with everything, and since they are both voiced by the same creator, they sound completely identical and share the exact same brain cell. It totally kills any funny banter they could have had.

Then you have Tammy, the classic perpetually annoyed wife who just exists to judge Mark. We have seen this trope in literally every single Fox animated show for thirty years. Even casting Fred Armisen as David the next-door neighbor feels like a waste of his chaotic energy because they just make him play a boring, structured straight man. And Darren the stepson is basically a background prop they throw into a scene when they realize they haven't written a punchline in three minutes.

The show tries so hard to capture that local Philly-speak vibe, but the actual comedy just relies on shock value like a chimpanzee ripping off a guy's face instead of clever writing. It just feels completely hollow. Does anyone actually unironically enjoy this show or is it just default background noise?

Should we get another Christmas episode, but this time on Hulu?

As I’m saying for that, we haven’t got any Christmas episode since it aired on TBS, and if we may not going to get any Christmas episode on Fox again, then should we get another Christmas episode/special, but this time as Hulu exclusive, just like Family Guy did. What do you guys think about this?

The Lost Boys is spectacular - July 3rd 7:30 PM Show review ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

(As I’m writing this review over 4th of July day) Being an NYC resident from Brooklyn, I try to catch as much theater as much as possible, and seeing The Lost Boys at the Palace Theatre over the Holiday weekend completely blew me away. I paid $129 for a seat in the front Mezzanine in advance, and it was a great view for a show like this. This marks my 5th Broadway show overall, and also my 3rd Broadway show for this year, and it was perfect way to wrap up my theater going for the 2025-26 season productions. the only production that I caught this season was Becky Shaw over at the Hayes Theater. Now I just have to wait for the upcoming 2026-27 season to start up, where I’ll be catching either Other Desert Cities or A Few Good Men next (which is actually 3rd Michael Arden directing on Broadway for this decade).

The Stage & Flying

The set is massive, transforming the stage into a dark, gritty 1980s Santa Clara. The central train trestle bridge looks incredibly dangerous and gives the whole space a looming vibe. The flying effects are easily the best part of the show. The vampires don’t just float on wires, they drop, dive, and swoop from the rafters at terrifying speeds. Sitting in the front mezzanine was perfect because the actor flew right toward my eye level, giving me an unbelievable perspective of the stunts.

The Cast & Ensemble

Ali Louis Bourzgui was out for the performance, but understudy Pierre Maria’s completely crushed it as David. He brought insane rockstar charisma and nailed every single heavy vocal belt. Shoshana Bean stopped the show with her song “Wild”, showing off unmatched emotional depth and vocal power. Maria Wirries was fantastic as Star, capturing that perfect balance of being mysterious, magnetic, and conflicted as she navigated her dynamic with Michael. LJ Benet and Benjamin Pajak have great chemistry as the brothers.

I absolutely loved the Frog Brothers: Jennifer Duka (as Alan Frog), and Miguel Gil (as Edgar Frog) were massive standouts for me. Their dynamic with Benjamin Pajak provided the perfect comedic relief against the horror elements, and their energy is just infectious. Behind them, the ensemble acts as the engine of the production. They move like a pack of predators with sharp, aggressive choreography, and their rock harmonies are tight and haunting.

Stage Door

To add onto this, I also hit the stage door after the show! I only managed to get 3 signatures, but one of them was Pierre Maria. He was genuinely so nice to everyone waiting, including me. Getting his autograph on my Playbill after watching him crush the lead role made the whole night even more memorable.

Final Thoughts

The pacing is perfect from start to finish, and the unexpected post-credits scene after the bows is a great touch. For $129, the production value makes it feel entirely worth the money. If you’ve been on the fence about seeing The Lost Boys, consider this your sign to book a ticket immediately before it’s too late. This was an amazing conclusion to my Broadway season. 5 stars!

Why does nobody talk about Tate being in lalaloopsy?? 😭

I feel like I’m the only one who noticed this, but Tate literally voiced spot splatter splash on Nick Jr when she was like 7. She did episodes, movies and even on DS.

How did nobody notice this?? Did anyone else know or am I the only one?

Is there is a chance that Come From Away will come back to Broadway this fall?

As the title says here, I’m asking that question because the 25th anniversary of 9/11 is quickly approaching, and I’ve seen few people talking about the show with pending transfer to Broadway form Paper Mill stage. Do y’all guys think that Come From Away will make a comeback to the Broadway this fall with same stage from Paper Mill as their first revival or no?

Anyone else transition to Bob’s Burgers when they want a break from more chaotic cartoons?

I’ve been a massive fan of American Dad for years, but the current run since it came back to Fox this February just isn’t landing for me. We are 11 episodes in, and even on the cusp of the 400th episode milestone, the writing feels incredibly repetitive. The narrative direction relies heavily on a formulaic cynicism that is becoming exhausting to watch. Switching over to Bob’s Burgers on Sunday nights has been a total relief. It serves as the absolute antithesis to that mean-spirited style. I love how the humor stems from genuine family vulnerability and mutual support rather than relying on unhinged shock value to break the monotony. The way the characters actually like each other makes it a far superior, wholesome comfort watch. What are your go-to feel-good episodes when you just want a pure comfort watch?

Now that the Ed Sullivan is empty, who actually buys it? ATG vs Nederlander vs Shubert?

I know there was a thread last month about the Ed Sullivan Theater returning to Broadway now that Colbert is officially done. But what about the actual landlord logistics? If Paramount decides to sell the real estate, who realistically wins the bidding war?

Shubert is the obvious giant, but wouldn't their historic anti-monopoly restrictions make buying a new house a total legal nightmare with city approval?

Nederlander feels like the default choice since they love grabbing historic footprints and don't face those crazy antitrust issues.

But I honestly feel like ATG Entertainment is the real wild card. They have massive private equity backing, zero NYC antitrust drama, and they absolutely love managing landmark blockbuster houses (literally what they did with the Lyric for Harry Potter). The original 1,000+ seat layout fits their vibe perfectly.

What do you guys think? Are you putting money on ATG or Nederlander, or does a smaller operator surprise everyone?

Home Away From Home is peak modern spongebob craziness lol

I knew season 17 was gonna be weird but, >!seeing the literal houses moving around to rescue a rock is next level insane. The Pineapple’s and Squidward’s house walking around like actual characters caught me so off guard.!< The animation is really leaning into that fast-paced, ren & stimpy style lately. Did you guys actually enjoy the plot of this one or was the pacing a bit too much?

What song from A Matter of Time grew on you the most?

When the album first dropped, I liked it but it took a few listens to really click for me. Now, I'm absolutely obsessed with the whole record!

For me, Lover Girl and Cuckoo Ballet have completely stolen my heart. They just sound so magical and different from anything else out there right now.

I'd love to hear everyone else's experience! Which track did you maybe overlook at first, but now you find yourself humming it all day long?

Looks like we’re getting another revival of The Sound of Music!

Lincoln Center Theater just dropped this teaser for their 2026–27 season.

The text on the image ("alive with a new season") and caption ("A very good place to start") are dead giveaways.

Full announcement drops tomorrow. Thoughts?

Yes, I know I said “another” but tbh, I’m glad that we’re finally getting 2nd SoM revival.

If GTA 7 were to happen, where would it take place? Liberty City or Chicago?

With GTA 6 taking us back to Vice City, the community is already looking ahead to where Rockstar goes next. The common assumption is that we will circle back to Liberty City to complete the classic trilogy rotation.

Personally, I think Chicago makes a much stronger case, but both options have huge pros:

The Case for Chicago: We haven't seen a major Midwestern setting in modern GTA. It brings a completely fresh aesthetic, a distinct crime history, and the potential for brutal winter weather/blizzards that could drastically change driving and gameplay physics.

The Case for Liberty City: It completes the rotation after GTA V (Los Santos) and GTA VI (Vice City). Seeing a fully reimagined, next-gen "Liberty State" that expands way past NYC into upstate wilderness or New Jersey would be insane.

Liberty City was amazing in GTA IV, but a brand-new city like Chicago would give us entirely unexplored territory.

If it comes down to these two, where do you think it would actually take place?
