Had a friend stay for a few days and he made me this salad. An endive salad with rollmops and a greek yoghurt dressing! With lots of fresh dill and chives. Delicious.

Rollmops are pickled herring fillets, found in the supermarket. Endive is from the chicory family.

Shrimp salad with arugula, avocado, cucumber and green onions

I fried the shrimps in garlic and EVOO. I used up whatever I had left in the fridge - arugula, cucumber, avocado and some green onions and drizzled the garlic and EVVO as the dressing. Simple salad for lunchtime.

First time trying Pêche de vigne or "peach of the grapevine". Delicious variety of red-fleshed peach that ripens in late summer and is traditionally grown alongside grapevines.

It has grey and fuzzy exterior with vibrant dark-red flesh inside. The flavour is slightly tart and super juicy like a yellow or white peach.

The dressing is orange juice, Dijon mustard, extra virgin olive oil and honey. I added an avocado to bulk it up too. And half a red onion!
