Selection I really, really liked

Selection I really, really liked
I’ve had freshly grilled sardines twice recently. No fuss, no frills, very fresh and tasty but the bones, the bones - I just couldn’t chew them down like some would :(
So for me - give me canned sardines any day hands down please! Sharing a recent tin I tried from La Quiberonnaise, France. Delicious!
Selection I captured in the south of France.
I used a small pack of miso soup paste which had seaweed in it. Wow!! Fully recommend this.
For the Dressing
• extra-virgin olive oil
• fresh orange juice
• miso paste (I used a pack meant for soup)
• rice vinegar
• grated fresh ginger
• garlic clove minced
• honey
For the Carrot Salad
• carrots
• fresh cilantro
• sesame seeds
Been to Notre Dame a few times but never noticed the red doors on pic 2 and 3 until now.
Tried this for the first time. Was a success! For the peanut dressing: smooth peanut butter, tamari, sesame oil, minced garlic, lemon juice and maple syrup. For the crispy rice: boil some rice and keep aside until cool, then layer in a tray and mix together with tamari and sesame oil. I added gochujang for some kick. Roast in the oven for 30 mins. Then add it to the salad bowl with edamame, cucumber, spring onions, chopped peanuts and coriander leaves. Mix in the peanut dressing.
The middle door is at the Pantheon
Some need a bit of TLC
With my favourite fishcakes and lemongrass tea
I can’t resist good salmon fish cakes with just the right amount of seasoning, kaffir leaves and squeeze of lime. And beef pho at the weekend is me just living it!
