Every generation of Civic has a following, and no other economy car can say that.

The Civic started in 1972 as a CVCC economy hatch that cleared emissions without a catalytic converter, then spent two decades quietly turning into an enthusiast platform. The 3rd gen brought the Si badge, the 4th gen brought double wishbone suspension and VTEC, and the EG and EK became the two most modified Honda chassis ever built. Then the EP3 arrived with a K20 and that dash mounted shifter, the FK2 dropped in a turbo, and the FK8 took a Nürburgring lap record for front wheel drive before the FL5 came back and beat it. All 11 of them have people who will defend them.

Which gen are you choosing?

I bought this about 4 years ago, since then I have 2 other Islander watches and I couldn’t be happier with a clean, cut brand as Islander. Maybe cause I’m a New Yorker and I am a bit biased but I have zero complaints.

I always get compliments on this one specifically, it’s been a great conversation piece.

Has anyone else experienced Islander Watches or have a favorite micro brand?

My 4 year old son is through the roof having his own R2! And so am I 😂
