My cat adores me but attacks my toddler nephew. Why?
Can cats get jealous of babies or toddlers?
My cat is very affectionate with me. He’ll head bump me for attention, and then a second later he’ll swat or lunge at my 1 year old nephew.
The funny part is my nephew absolutely loves him. He treats him like another little kid and even tries to share his toy cars with him.
He also does the same with my 9 years old niece ..
I’m just trying to figure out what this behavior means. Is he actually jealous because I’m giving my nephew attention, or is he just uncomfortable around toddlers? Has anyone else’s cat acted like this?
