Zipper impatience

It never ceases to amaze me how many people either don’t understand the zipper line concept, or they (like this guy) will risk almost slamming into my car because they don’t want to do it and need to get in there ahead of me.
Can’t wait til he gets to the window and they try and give him the wrong drink and he gets frustrated because of his own mistake. 🤘🏼 we are all sitting in line bro. It’s Sunday. Chill out.

I don’t know what to do anymore.

My 15-month-old has been doing this for a week and a half now and I genuinely don’t know what is going on anymore.
Tonight she slept for maybe 3 hours and then woke up screaming bloody murder. The second I pick her up, she immediately calms down and passes TF back out in my arms.
But the second I slooooowly try to transfer her back into the crib? Absolutely loses it. Screaming like I’ve never heard before.
I’m literally sitting on the couch right now while she screams in her crib, crying myself. It’s only been 3 minutes, but listening to her cry like this makes it feel like an hour.
She used to be such a good sleeper. We were getting 10–12 hour nights out of her consistently, and now she’s waking every hour or so and it’s the exact same pattern every single time: wakes screaming, immediately calms down when I pick her up, falls asleep on me, and then wakes up screaming the second I try to put her back down.
She will stand up in her crib SCREAMING. Sometimes she will stop for like 2-3 minutes, but still stands there looking around, rubbing her eyes because obviously she’s so freaking tired. Then right back to crying.
Last night I sat in the recliner rocking her from 1–5 AM. If I even tried to stand up, she woke up screaming. My body cannot take sleeping or sitting with her in the recliner all night, and honestly it scares me because I know how unsafe it is to accidentally fall asleep there with her, especially with how much she wiggles and moves around.
And before anyone suggests cosleeping — I’ve tried. It does not work. If she’s in bed with me, she thinks it’s time to play, pinch me, climb all over me, or nurse for HOURS. She will happily stay attached to my boob all night, but she will not actually sleep.
I genuinely feel like I’m at my breaking point from the lack of sleep and hearing her scream like this when all she wants is for me to hold her.
Has anyone gone through this around 15 months? Separation anxiety? Regression? Teething? Something else? Because going from 10–12 hour nights to this seemingly overnight is absolutely brutal.

Networking

I own a small cottage food business making protein balls out of my home. Most of my business so far has come from friends, word of mouth, Instagram, and a handful of repeat customers, which I’m super grateful for, but I’d really love to start getting more exposure locally.

Would it be annoying or inappropriate to put together some small sample boxes with my business card/info and drop them off at local businesses? I was thinking places like gyms, salons, coffee shops, etc., including some businesses I already frequent and some that I don’t.

I wouldn’t go in expecting them to buy anything or trying to give them a whole sales pitch—more like, “Hey, I own a small local business and wanted to drop off some samples for your staff to try!”

Has anyone done something like this? Did it actually lead to orders or help get your name out there? Or would you find it annoying if a small business owner came into your workplace with samples?

Secret menu at all locations?

I’m curious about this - do all locations have the recipes for all secret menu items?
I’m always nervous to ask for a secret menu item in case they look at me like “what the hell is that?” 😂

Facebook?

For those of you running cottage food businesses, is having a Facebook business page worth it?
Right now, I get pretty decent traction through word of mouth and Instagram. Most of my orders come from repeat customers, referrals, or people finding me through IG.
I’ve been debating making a Facebook page for the business too, but I’m curious if it actually brings in additional customers or if it would just be another social media account to keep up with.
For those who use both Instagram and Facebook, do you notice Facebook bringing in a different/local customer base? Do you get orders directly through your page, or is the bigger benefit being able to post/share your business in local Facebook groups?
Would love to hear what’s actually worked for other cottage food businesses!

Small business owner who completely dropped the ball on bookkeeping - how screwed am I?

Please be kind, I’m genuinely looking for advice, not judgment. I’m already embarrassed and nervous even asking this.
I own a small protein ball business and officially registered it as an LLC in March of this year. I have a business bank account under the LLC as well as business Venmo/Zelle.
I use Bakesy for all of my orders, so thankfully I do have a record of my orders and sales through there.
My boxes sell for $20 each, and my ingredients, packaging, and other supplies are relatively inexpensive and easy to buy in bulk.
Here’s where I messed up: I haven’t been properly tracking my inventory, how quickly I go through ingredients/supplies, my monthly expenses, or my actual profit.
I’m a SAHM running this business on the side, and things got chaotic quickly. I kept telling myself I’d get everything organized, and then months went by.
I’ve brought in more than $5,000 since January, but I’m embarrassed to admit that I couldn’t tell you what my actual profit has been.
To make matters worse, especially in the beginning, some business expenses were paid from my personal accounts and some from my business account. There wasn’t much consistency. I’ve gotten much better about this recently and now try to make sure all business purchases go through my business account/card.
I know I can’t change how disorganized I was at the beginning, but I want to fix this NOW before I dig myself into a bigger hole.
Where would you start?
Since I have my Bakesy order history, is it possible to use that along with my bank/credit card statements, Venmo/Zelle transactions, and whatever receipts I still have to reconstruct as much of this year as possible?
What should I be tracking going forward besides income and expenses? Do I need to be tracking every individual ingredient/inventory item and exactly how quickly I use it, or is there a simpler system that works for a very small food business?
Are there any bookkeeping programs/apps you recommend for a business this small, especially something that would be relatively easy for someone with basically zero bookkeeping experience?
And probably my biggest concern: taxes. Next year will be my first tax season since forming the LLC, and I’m terrified that I’ve completely screwed myself by not keeping better records from the beginning.
I’m not trying to avoid taxes or hide income. I genuinely just started a little business that grew faster than I expected, and I didn’t have the business/accounting side organized the way I should have.
I want to get everything cleaned up, create a system I can actually maintain, and do this correctly moving forward.
Where do I start?

Where my feed-to-sleepers at???

14 months and I still nurse my daughter to get her to nap and to bed for the night. We typically have 0-1 wakings at night and if she doesn’t settle herself back down during nighttime sleep, I’ll go in, nurse her and 5 minutes later she’s out. Honestly, we all sleep better this way.
Sleep trainers I know would be HORRIFIED we still do this at 14 months but hey, it’s comforts her, I get to wind down before nap time and bedtimes, win win. She eats solids great and drinks milk bottles during the day. I don’t even care if I’m being used as a human paci for sleep.
So where’s all my fellow mamas who can relate??

How much milk should my breastfed 14-month-old drink from cups/bottles?

I’m 14 months PP and still breastfeeding. I nurse my daughter before/after sleep, but when she’s at daycare, with her dad, grandparents, etc., she gets breastmilk in a sippy cup.

My pumping output has been getting lower and lower, and my freezer stash is dwindling, so I’m starting to transition the milk she gets in cups to ½ breastmilk and ½ 2% milk. Eventually, once I’m no longer able to pump enough, those cups will just be 2% milk. I plan to keep nursing her when we’re together for as long as it works for us.

For those who are still breastfeeding past 1 but also give milk in cups/bottles - how many ounces of milk does your toddler actually drink from cups throughout the day?

I’m having a hard time figuring out how much I should be offering since she’s still nursing too. I don’t want to give too little, but I also don’t know how much she really needs outside of nursing at this age.

Would love to hear what your feeding schedule/amounts look like!

Supply dropping after 13m PP?

I fear I may have to start doing 1/2 regular milk with 1/2 breastmilk bottles.
I’ve always been a low supplier; but now at 14m PP I’ve noticed my pumps are producing less over time. I can’t keep up and barely have a freezer stash as is.
Anyone else in this situation?

Red solo cups

Just a really random thought I had.

I know a lot about this case, but not a lot, if that makes sense.
Has it been confirmed if it was BK that actually knocked down the red solo cups from the table?

What’s the point of this feature?

So I’m confused, what exactly is the point of the feature where you can pause a sleep and restart it, but it still counts the time between the pause and restart (without hitting save).
I’m genuinely confused what the point is. If I’m pausing a sleep, and there’s a break in between when I pause and restart, it shouldn’t count that break as sleep time (IE if I’m nursing, rocking, etc but baby is awake). I don’t see the point in the pause feature, when we’d have to just hit stop and save and restart sleep once they’re back down.

Hope I’m making sense on this haha

Do we think this is my 14mo trying to go to one nap?

I’m scared 😬
She typically naps by 11am for her first nap, 3:30-3:45 we always try for her second nap. Sometimes it starts a little later depending on how the day goes. Bedtime routine always starts around 7:30 (bath, book, boob, bed).
What I’m most nervous about is the timing. She goes to daycare 3x a week from 9a-1p. Her nap is usually by 11/11:15 or so. It’s been a SOLID routine at daycare, they do a great job with helping her stick to it.
Oddly when we are home, she sometimes clearly wants to nap earlier than 11.
I’m just nervous that with the 1 nap, and it being at 11 until typically 12-12:30, that now leaves 6-7 hours of a wake window. The last few days she’s only done one nap she has definitely been a cranky pants. We try and try for the second nap but she is suddenly alert and ready to party. No chance for us lately.

Sorry I’m all over the place with this 😂 Thoughts?

Also - we used to get 10-12 straight through nights with no wakeups. She got strep and was popping 4 teeth at the same time 2 weeks ago and sleep has sucked at night since 😭

Looking for a no-bean chili slow cooker recipe

Want something with great flavor, and not too spicy. I hate the texture of beans, so looking for a chili recipe that does not have beans. One I can cook in the crockpot.
I have never made chili myself before, so looking to change that!

13mo is teething and has strep. I’m not surviving well over here.

I don’t even have the words for how rough of a time I’m having with this.
We even tried Cosleeping, something I did not want to do - and she wants nothing to do with it.

Strep

After a very rough weekend with very little sleep and a very fussy 13mo baby, we attributed it all to just teething since we can see canines and incisors coming in. She didn’t want to nurse or eat solids. Fever never went over 100.4.

This morning my momma intuition kicked in and I brought her to the pediatrician. It’s like the second we got into the parking lot she got way worse. This is a kid who couldn’t be paid to fall asleep on me lately. And she was PASSED out on me in the middle of a loud doctors office. She suddenly got way warmer to the touch and a fever of 102.5 was clocked.

The pediatrician looked at her throat and immediately goes “ooooh she absolutely has strep.”

Did a swab and it came back with a positive test result for strep within a minute.

We are now on a rotation of amoxicillin, Tylenol, Motrin, a probiotic, and LOTS of cuddles. My heart is breaking for my little girl. I almost didn’t bring her in because I thought, how silly to just bring her in for teething. The teeth will break through soon and it’ll be back to better sleep.

But I’m so glad I listened to my intuition. It was crazy and heartbreaking watching her get worse literally right in front of my eyes, in minutes.

Hoping this is the worst of the strep and it clears soon.

Going through teething, a growth spurt, and strep all at once. This poor girl.

ALWAYS listen to your momma heart, ladies!!!

Rewatching for the first time in a while

When I watched before I don't think I got past Season 3....I am now at Season 5 Episode 9.

I have one huge question - what in the actual f**k is up with the script writing for Becky??? Especially in the "Previously Unaired Christmas Episode" where she talks about demanding tongue...I understand that episode leans more toward satire but I feel like the entire season she has been so different and more inappropriate than usual. I don't know, it sits weird with me.

Free birthday drink

I’m stuck on what to get for my free birthday drink because I want to try something new instead of my usual, which is either Dutch Mojito tea or the Peach Ring tea with cream.
I’m SAHM to a 13 month old so caffeine is always nice - and we live in Arizona so maybe something blended?
I love sweet, chocolate, anything but peanut butter (I know, shame me).

Would love some recommendations for getting out of my comfort zone!

Rewatching and noticing…

I’m rewatching the series and realized that before when I watched it, I didn’t really get past season 4. Im at the end of season 3 right now, and now that I’m watching it kneeling what happened to Naya and Cory, I’m noticing so many different lines between characters that, in hindsight, are pretty heart wrenching. It’s almost like they were saying their goodbyes or “I don’t want you to go” without realizing it.

What can I do with Babybell?

I got a Costco delivery and oddly enough, they put in a whole bulk thing of Babybell cheeses - which I did not order nor was I charged for 😅
I’ve never actually had Babybell, what does it taste like? What can I do with it besides just eat it by itself?
