Which Bose Headphones Are Better For Apple Devices

I recently tried the AirPods Max 2, but ended up returning them because they were too heavy and uncomfortable for extended listening.

Now I’m deciding between the Bose QuietComfort Headphones and the Bose QuietComfort Ultra (2nd Gen). For those of you who use Apple devices, which would you recommend?

My setup includes:
• MacBook Air
• iPhone 16 Pro
• iPad mini
• Apple TV 4K

I Disliked My Stereo Pair Of JBL Charge 6s

Last week, I picked up a second Charge 6 to pair with the one I already have. As a stereo pair, they were just too bass heavy and way louder than I wanted. Earlier today I returned the second Charge 6. I actually prefer the sound of a single Charge 6 over the stereo Charge 6s. The sound is more balanced and enjoyable for everyday listening.

I'm Having A Difficult Time In Choosing Between The Bose QuietComfort Headphones and The Bose QuietComfort Ultra 2nd Gen Headphones

Last week I returned the Apple AirPods Max 2 due to it being heavy and uncomfortable, however its sound quality was good. Overall I did not like them at all due to many flaws and dealbreakers.

Comfort is my top priority, and noise cancellation and audio quality are top priorities as well. I looked at the Sony XM6 but I read that they are fragile and are uncomfortable due clamp force and shallow earcups. This brings me to Bose headphones due it great comfort.

Out of the QuietComfort and QuietComfort Ultra 2nd Gen, which one is better:

  • As a person that wears glasses, which one is more comfortable?
  • Which one has better sound and better noise cancellation?
  • Which one has less issues?
  • Which one is better for using with my Apple TV 4K?

Thinking about AirPods 4 with ANC alongside AirPods Pro 3. Is it worth it as a second pair?

I already have the AirPods Pro 3. They’re comfortable, the ANC is great, and they’ve been my go to earbuds for pretty much everything.

Lately though, I’ve been thinking about getting the AirPods 4 ANC. Not because I want to replace my Pros, but because there are days when I just don’t feel like wearing silicone ear tips. Sometimes I want something that feels more open and less like my ears are sealed off, while still having some noise cancellation.

The AirPods Pro 3 will still be my primary pair whenever I want the best noise cancellation. The AirPods 4 would simply be an additional option for when I seek a more comfortable and open fit.

For those of you who own both, do you actually switch between them depending on the situation, or did one end up collecting dust?

My Two JBL Stereo Speaker Setups

Here are my JBL bluetooth speakers: a stereo pair of JBL Go 5s and a stereo pair of JBL Charge 6s. I bought my second Go 5 last week and bought up my second Charge 6 earlier today, completing both stereo setups.

Both stereo pairs sound incredible, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. The JBL Go 5 stereo pair will be used in my bedroom, while the JBL Charge 6 stereo pair will be set up in my living room.

Should I Renew My AirPods Pro 2 AppleCare Plan?

Since I got the AirPods Pro 3 a couple of months ago, I rarely use my AirPods Pro 2 day to day anymore. I mainly keep them for the gym. My AppleCare plan ends on July 6, 2026. Do you think it’s worth renewing AppleCare for them?

Downgrade iCloud Storage Question

I currently have the 200 GB iCloud plan but only use about 12 GB. I recently subscribed to Apple One, which includes 50 GB of iCloud storage, and I’m considering downgrading to the 50 GB plan from my 200 GB current plan. Also a total 100 GB of iCloud storage is good enough for me.

If I make that change, will I lose any of my data?

AirPods Max 2 Returned After One Day

Yesterday, I bought the AirPods Max 2 for $399 at Best Buy, and honestly, they’re some of the most disappointing headphones I’ve used.

After just 35 minutes of wearing them, they became uncomfortable. They felt so heavy that they actually caused strain in my neck. I also noticed significant battery drain overnight, despite them running the latest firmware. They were at around 85% when I went to bed, but by the time I woke up, they had dropped to roughly 45%.

What’s even more frustrating is that Apple still hasn’t addressed many of the major issues with these headphones.

As an AirPods Pro 3 user, I actually prefer them over the AirPods Max 2. After one day of ownership, I returned the AirPods Max 2 this morning.

I’m still searching for a comfortable pair of over ear headphones, and right now I’m considering the Sonos Ace due to that I have a Sonos Beam 2nd Gen and the Bose QuietComfort Ultra (2nd Gen).

At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised if Apple waits another six years before releasing the AirPods Max 3, with only a minor hardware refresh to the current model arriving around 2030.

Pre-purchase Question: Should I Worry About The Bose QuietComfort Ultra 2nd Gen Headphones

I recently tried the Apple AirPods Max 2, but I ended up returning them because they felt uncomfortable and too heavy to wear for more than about 25 minutes. I’m considering getting the Bose QuietComfort Ultra 2nd gen headphones because they’ve received a lot of positive reviews, and I’ll mostly be using them at home.

However, after doing some research, I’ve come across quite a few mixed opinions. Some people seem to love them, while others have had negative experiences, which has made me hesitant about buying them.

I was wondering if you have any experience with the Bose QuietComfort Ultra 2nd Gen headphones and what’s your experience has been like?

JBL Go 5 Stereo Pair Sound Is Incredible. Tempted To Get A Second JBL Charge 6

This morning, I bought a second JBL Go 5. I have a JBL Charge 6 and now a pair of JBL Go 5s. The two Go 5s in stereo sound is incredible. It has me wondering how a stereo pair of Charge 6s would sound like, although a single Charge 6 is already more than loud enough for me. I’m still tempted to buy a second Charge 6. The stereo pair of Go 5s will be used in my bedroom.
