Earlier today my CX-30 left rear tire got an unrepairable flat and I took to Discount Tire. They recommended that all 4 tires needed to be replaced due to thread level very close to replacement level. My CX-30 has 32,000 miles, and the tires were Bridgestone Turanza EL440 215/55/R18. Discount Tire recommended the Michelin Defender 2 225/55/R18 tire size, however Mazda recommends the 215 tire size. I bought the 225 tire size.

My questions are:

1. Is the 225 tire size good for my CX-30 or should I return the tires and get the 215 tire size that Mazda recommends?

2. Are there any potential advantages or disadvantages to switching from 215/55R18 to 225/55R18 on a CX-30?

3. Will the larger 225/55R18 tires have any noticeable impact on the CX-30's handling, ride comfort, fuel economy, ground clearance, or speedometer accuracy?

I'm thinking about replacing Warp with either LightSpeed or DarkStar as my primary line, with Warp as the secondary line. I understand that Warp will be downgraded from QCI 8 to QCI 9 on the secondary line.

My question is, would being on QCI 9 cause any issues with streaming Apple Music or listening to podcasts on my Apple Watch, such as constant buffering or interruptions?

I recently tried the OpenDots 2 but returned them. It was getting popping noises with my iPhone 16 Pro and Apple Watch S10 Titanium model, and I also didn’t like the clip-on design. I had to keep adjusting them because they felt like they were sliding down my ears. A few days ago I ended up exchanging them for the Apple AirPods 5, which are much more comfortable for me.

Now I’m thinking about picking up a hook-style pair during Amazon's Prime Day Sales next week. I will use them mainly for cardio. I’m looking at the OpenFit Air 2 and OpenFit 2+.

I have Oakley Fuller glasses, so my main concern is comfort and whether the ear hooks will interfere with my glasses. I’ll only use either the OpenFits 2+ or OpenFit Air 2 about twice a week for cardio, around 2.5 hours total per week, so battery life isn’t a big deal. I won't be using these for my regular gym workouts.

I’m not expecting either one to sound better than my AirPods 5. As long as the sound is good enough for cardio, I’ll be happy. I also don’t plan on using these for my regular gym workouts.

For anyone who has tried both, which one is more comfortable with glasses, especially during cardio? Any issues with the hooks pressing against or interfering with your glasses?

I have a stereo pair of Flip 7s and a stereo pair of Go 5s.

I currently have a stereo pair of JBL Go 5s and a stereo pair of JBL Flip 7s. I’m thinking about returning both Flip 7s and getting a single JBL Charge 6 instead.

I know the Charge 6 is bigger and likely has more bass and overall power, but I’d be going from two Flip 7s in true stereo to one mono speaker. Would you consider this a downgrade in terms of overall sound quality and listening experience?

Which setup would you recommend to go along with my stereo Go 5's: two Flip 7s in stereo or one Charge 6?

I would like to see what a blue JBL Go 5 looks like due to Best Buy only has black colored JBL bluetooth speakers on display. If you have a blue color JBL Go 5, please post a picture.

I got the Bose SoundLink Micro 2nd Gen today, and it came with firmware version 4.10.16. The Bose app says this is the latest version available, but Bose’s support page lists firmware version 8.2.16, which was released on March 3, 2026. Did Bose possibly pull out the 8.2.16 update due to complaints or issues with it?

If someone is on Warp and paid for the Spam Detect, but later decides to switch over to Light Speed or Dark Star due to Warp gotten worse in their area. What will happen to Warp’s spam detect? Will the person get a refund on the Warp Spam Detect if they switch over to Dark Star or a credit to apply to Light Speed’s spam protection?

If so, are there any issues that came after the update and any improvements?

I currently have the JBL Charge 6, and I’m looking for a smaller JBL speaker to use on my nightstand.

Last week, I bought and returned the JBL Flip 7 RR version because I wasn’t impressed with the sound quality. To me, it just didn’t sound like a JBL speaker and the sound was kind of off.

I also recently sold my JBL Go 5 because, although I liked the size, the bass was weak and the volume was low that I had to put it 55 percent volume to get decent volume. I want a speaker that's slightly larger with more bass and have good volume at 35 percent to 40 percent.

Yesterday, I bought and returned the Bose SoundLink Micro 2nd Gen. I found the sound extremely boring, and it also had an issue where the volume seemed to randomly go from loud to very low on its own on every other song.

At this point, I’m willing to give the Flip 7 another try, but not the RR version. I’m also considering the JBL Grip.

My priorities are good bass, a warm JBL-style sound, and enough volume for late night listening. Since I already have the Charge 6, this smaller speaker would mainly be for my nightstand.

With the current Best Buy sale prices at the time of this posting, the Flip 7 is $129.95 and the Grip is $64.99. For what I’m looking for in the speaker, is the Flip 7 really worth roughly twice the price of the Grip?

Today I bought the Charge 6 and it came with firmware 1.9.9.2. Should I leave it there or install the latest firmware update?

I bought a pair of Flip 7s RR models yesterday and ended up returning both to Best Buy today. I really wanted to like these, but after spending a decent amount of time listening to them, I just couldn’t get past the sound.

The RR sounded way too warm to me. The bass felt surprisingly weak, and the vocals sounded really forward but at the same time kind of weak/thin. Overall, it just didn’t sound like what I expected from the Flip 7.

The weird thing is that I noticed the same issue whether I was using one speaker or two in stereo. There was just something about the sound that didn’t sound right to my ears. It sounded like the Flip 7 couldn’t down mix stereo into mono and with both speakers in couldn’t play stereo properly.

I messed around with the EQ on a single speaker, but honestly, I thought it made the sound worse. There is no EQ available when using stereo mode, so I couldn’t really do much there.

Now I’m wondering if the latest firmware update changed something. Maybe it’s only affecting all Flip 7 models? Or maybe I somehow managed to get two bad units, which seems unlikely but I guess it’s possible.

While I was at Best Buy, I ended up trying the Sony ULT Field 1 and ULT Field 3, and honestly, I preferred the sound of both over the Flip 7 RR. That was kind of surprising because I went in expecting the Flip 7 to be the better sounding speaker.
The Best Buy I went to only had a few Flip 7s, and they were all RR models.

So I’m curious, for anyone else who has a Flip 7, what are you hearing?
Does yours sound warm with relatively weak bass and really forward but thin/weak vocals at the same time? And if you’ve installed the latest firmware, did you notice any change in the sound afterward?

Maybe I’m just being picky, but I’m curious if anyone else has noticed the same thing. I’d especially like to hear from people with the RR and other versions since I’m wondering if there’s something specific going on with these.

I just did a Best Buy store pickup on two JBL Flip 7’s. They both start with the RR serial number. Are the RR serial numbers good on the Flip 7?

Now I’m thinking about trying either the JBL Flip 7 or the Bose SoundLink Flex 2nd Gen. For anyone who’s heard both, which would you pick?

I'm looking at getting Bose QC 2nd Gen or the QCU 2nd Gen. Out of the two which one is better for comfort, ANC, and audio quality?
