The Nets had already announced they were going to depart from New Jersey while playing their games in the meadowlands, before they even played their last seasons in Newark. This led to them losing a lot of fans since they felt it was no point to support a team that was inevitably going to abandon them. Do you guys think the Nets franchise and fanbase grows even more if the management actually cared about keeping the team there? I was a NJ Nets fan growing up until they abandoned the state, and we never had a huge fanbase, but it was a good amount fans in the arenas, contrary to what a lot of people say, those home playoff seats were packed during the finals run, you can even look at clips online of the Nets finals games. Management saying they were leaving Jersey years before the move made the franchise take a big hit for the fanbase to grow.

I’m saying people that were raised in nyc and jersey, not just born there like Rodman or MJ.

I remember being on fifa 14 and loving our badge, the golden bird with the blue just looked so beautiful and I became a fan once I saw it.
