Wow, I adore it and wasn’t expecting this at all.
I’m a semi-newbie making my way through the records. As a noise and shoegaze fan I’m particularly smitten with this album.

Has anyone been successful, how did it go? My state doesn’t require me to have attorney.

I’m my adult son’s rep payee for his SSI. He has autism, adhd, undiagnosed mental illness and SUD and has made himself homeless more than once and now is being taken advantage of by others (giving them place to stay which puts his housing at risk).

He would be against having a guardian, but I don’t think he’d actually show up to court even with court appointed representation.

I discovered (and subsequently became obsessed with) the Fall in the last few years, later in my life (early 50s).
When I heard Shoulder Pads I could’ve sworn I heard it before like in an ad/commercial (in the US). Does anyone know if it was used in media? I mean, it’s hard to believe, but so sounds so familiar to me and it dives me nuts! Or maybe there’s a similar song? If I had to guess it would’ve been the 1990s-2010s when I heard it/similar previously

I posted about burning tongue here and still believe it may have been triggered by my hysterectomy/menopause. I wanted to share this in case it could help others.
After suffering nearly a year, what my dentist shared has so far (knocking on wood) worked. They advised getting toothpaste without Sodium Laurel Sulfate (SLS). There weren’t many SLS-free options even within ‘natural’ brands, but I found one that also includes fluoride. I can report it’s been working for me! Wish I had known this earlier.

I failed for low protein (just under passing) when it was taken for testing 5 days ago, I just learned yesterday. How much protein and/or what would you eat each day before taking SPE? I’m a lacto ovo vegetarian.

Is there a way to play Spotify (downloaded songs?) on a music player device without wifi? My son is getting by with a flip phone, but wants a music player. I don’t know where to start! Would rather it be a music player than a phone

He’s sometimes homeless. He does have autism in addition to substance abuse issues. Often loses phone. What is the cheapest way locally to get a phone to add cellular to? He does not live me. In a metro area in US

I have a young adult son with ASD (diagnosed late), ADHD, unspecified psychosis, possibly bipolar and substance use disorder. He doesn’t live with me bc I can’t tolerate it. However he’s not doing well on his own. Doesn’t clean or cook (I think he is able but no interest), but he can use microwave. Does laundry by washing clothes in shower despite having free washer/dryer, and doesn’t get them clean. He doesn’t work, but could with assistance. He won’t get case manager, though he’s eligible.

His behavior is a huge issue, largely affected by alcohol and other substances. I don’t have guardianship and honestly don’t want it. He has 3rd party payee who just discharged him due to his behavior of constantly asking for money (never has enough) and being nasty to her. He just lost his psychiatrist after calling them a slur.
He contacts me everyday for something and will do it nonstop. If I say no that doesn’t stop him, he just escalates and will contact people at my work saying vile things usually about me via emails. Work has redirected his emails but he just keeps creating new ones to get around that.

His behavior is just truly awful and I don’t know what to do. His Dr told me to get restraining order. I did try getting temporary order of protection for harassment. I didn’t get a temporary granted and didn’t go thru w restraining order bc if I do that there’s no way he’ll get help right now—and he now desperately needs a payee asap or will have zero access to his SSI money (and not be able to pay rent).

I just want to extricate myself and really don’t know how. It’d be completely different if his behavior wasn’t nasty.

Oh, I also can’t pay my credit card bill bc of him. I can’t afford him
