Is being a nationalist pointless?

I always wonder how people can be so emotional and reactive about a piece of land, a piece of land whose borders change over time, whose governance changes over time, whose trajectory changes over time. Perhaps it was democratic but suddenly became a dictatorship. Perhaps it was A's ally yesterday but became A's enemy the next day. Perhaps it was religious one day but became atheistic another day.

Why become so tied to an entity that is so unpredictable when it comes to its size and trajectory?

Reddit should've indicators for blocked subreddits...

Honestly, it's super annoying. Let's say you're blocked from a subreddit, but you're using an alt account, that subreddit keeps showing up in your feed. You comment and bam!

They should give us an option to be able to block such subreddits from showing up in our feeds.

When a man gets cheated on...

Why does society make him feel bad about another person's actions, calling him a weak, c*ck, s*mp or loser? But if a woman gets cheated on, everyone is usually like, "Oh, poor her..."

How can baggage collection be improved at the airport...

Every time you arrive at an airport, no matter how quickly you clear immigration, you always have to stand in front of the conveyor belt for a good 20 to 30 minutes before you can get your suitcase. Do you think there is room for improvement here?

The people who cleared immigration the quickest find that their bags turn out to come out last :D

Is low-effort the key to success...

I always feel like that’s true. Imagine a guy puts everything into it. He spends over 7 or 8 hours editing his video, then gets 2 views. I personally think people should start their channel with low-effort editing, if it takes off at some point, then put in the work. That keeps you motivated. If it doesn’t, fair play, you haven’t put much time into it anyway. What do you all think?

Does the 180-day continuous rule apply for citizenship?

So, long story short, I just got my ILR yesterday, yeah!

However, I am trying to apply for British citizenship as well. The only thing is, I have absences of over 600 days in the last 5 years, even though I managed to get ILR as I haven't broken the 180-day rule.

My question is, if I choose to travel this month, I will break the continuous residence requirement (it would be over 180 days), so does the continuous residence rule apply to citizenship as well? Or I only need to bring down absences to 450 days and I'm good. I am applying via the BNO visa route btw. Thanks!

Any Digital Nomads applying for ILR?

Honestly, applying for UK ILR has been pain in the a** for me as a digital nomad. I have been moving from one place to another without a permanent address. Now, I need to fill out all addresses. Some places, I have only stayed for few days. Anyone in a similar situation as me? How do you go about it?

Am I allowed to start my application earlier?

I am eligible today for ILR, but I started my application yesterday. I submitted it just now, but I am worried that starting my application (filling in data) one day earlier than my eligible date will cause an issue. Do they count the submission date or when you start the application? Thanks!

Why do people still do UberEats?

Genuine question. I can understand if people do Uber from time to time. But UberEats? That's the most humiliating experience one can go through (esp. bicycle accounts). Starting from low pay and bad weather to bike theft and entitled customers. Every day, I see videos online where the customer is moaning about how their order got messed up, which then proceeds to r*cist remarks and so on. It really makes me sad to see all this, which is why I asked this question...

Purpose of Travel?

Hi everyone,

I am trying to fill in my ILR application. I had a remote job for quite some time, as a result of which I travelled to many countries whilst having it. I am just wondering what I should fill in for purpose of travel: Work, Tourism or Other? Will all days count as absences?

Thank you!

Honestly, I hate them so much. My guy, if your service or product is so good, people will come back and pay for it. Playing this whole subscription game gets so annoying. They charge me, then I go back and cancel, complain for a refund. Arghhh...

I have a monthly subscription with them, it was active until 8th May 2026. I got charged on 7th May 2026, so I went to play store and cancel my subscription. They cancelled it, got an email from Bumble confirming my subscription is only valid till 8th May 2026. However, they're refusing to refund my money? So no subscription still got charged?

Never have I seen a place where bouncers hold so much power. They can basically deny you entry for any reason, wrong colour, coming alone, coming with friends, didn't like your shirt, didn't like your hat, too good looking, too ugly, better abs than them. The sucking up people do just to enter a nightclub is unbelievable. Every time I go to a club, I feel like I am flirting with the bouncer more than the women there lol :D
