Robert Eggers's new movie, WEREWOLF (2026), is incorrectoy titled as WERWULF; this was done deliberately to be faithful to the time period when autocorrect was not invented.
We live in a dystopia, but at least we can get high
reddit.comBotox ads finding new things to be ashamed about
Maybe this has been going on longer than I realize, but I've noticed I keep getting ads for botox which are basically "I raise my eyebrows and LINES APPEAR ON MY FOREHEAD" or "I furrow my brow and LINES APPEAR BETWEEN THEM"
Of course this is coupled with the double speak of how independent and unique you are, as soon as you get rid of this GLARING FLAW WE'VE INVENTED.
This is of course, CLASSIC inventing something for women to feel ashamed about while conveniently presenting a solution, which happens to be our product. Now I'm not going to shame women who use Botox, that's their prerogative, what I AM doing is calling out Botox for this bullshit.
The Stand: Nadine
So, I'm rereading The Stand after 20 years, I've gotten to the point where we first learn some of her connection to the Dark Man, about how she always "knew" she was being saved for him, and felt his presence, long before the plague. One thing I either forgot about, or maybe didn't really notice the first time reading it, is the revelation that she is an orphan, who never knew her real parents.
Now, we know that her purpose is to bear his child, but why? Did her true parents make a pact with him? Was it just dumb luck? Is she not really human but like one of those fairy children who get substituted for human children?
And what would have happened had she not died? It seems that Flagg isn't stopped by her suicide, so what would this child have done for him?
I'm 99% sure the answers aren't in this book, so what do you think constant reader?
The Brute Man is a Prequel
Just found this on the Monster channel on Roku and seeing the Creeper piqued my interest, so I looked it up. It turns out this movie came out first, with the Brute Man released later as a prequel. Apparently there were plans for a series, but Hatton died before either movie was released.
The Rise and Drama of HERCULES: The 90s Hit That Ended with 25 Years of BITTERNESS
A good chunk of this was stuff I knew, but there's also a lot I didn't, like Sorbo claiming that Lucy was a lesbian who seduced Robert Tapert. What a jerk.
The video doesn't talk about Sorbo's Christian stuff, like starring in Christian propaganda movies, and also doesn't talk about the LGBT+ stuff that he despised, another reason to hate Xena.
The other day I saw him in a commercial selling Patriot phones or whatever. The best part? I was watching Xena at the time.
Industrial chicken farming accelerating spread of world’s most common bacterial cause of diarrhoea. There has also been a rise in antimicrobial resistance traits in circulating strains. Intensive breeding has led to “super growing” chickens that reach adult size and are slaughtered at 5 weeks old.
theguardian.comDune, Frank Herber
I just picked up Dune from my local library.
This has to be the worst Dune cover, right?
Edit: To clarify, the author's name is translated, so 'Frenk' is not a spelling error. It's just the way it's pronounced in Serbian. Not that it helps the cover much lol
A terrifying floating entity was captured outside a house in 2025
Wellerman Song by Nathan Evans All Hail The CYBERTRUCK🤣🤣🤣
youtube.comThere are mice in my apartment and I'm freaking out
I grew up in a house full of crap, four generations worth of hoarding. Infestation was a regular thing, ants, fleas and mice. It remains my biggest fear, why I box up food, why I immediately clean any spill.
My current apartment has had a mouse problem for years, sometimes I'm fine. I'm not right now. A mouse has run past me three times in the day time, this means the infestation is bad. I have started freaking out about Hantavirus, not helping that it's been in the news lately.
Yesterday I saw a mouse run into a cardboard box my work computer came in, I emptied it out and could smell it, see the mouse droppings and the chewed up cardboard. I swept up the bits and vacuumed it up, but now am seeing I shouldn't have done that, just adding to the distress. I feel the need to wash my hands constantly.
I also have a bunch of yarn that has accumulated around the place and I'm worried they've gotten into that too. Part of me just wants to throw it all out.
I put out a trap, I don't want to kill anything. I tried catch and release traps last year, but in doing so got mouse piss on me, which REALLY caused a freak out.
I should get a cat but that has it's own emotional issues (not related to OCD, but childhood trauma)
One Of The WORST "Kaiju" Movies Ever
This is one of my favorite Rifftrax movies, interesting bit of history here.
