Any in-depth explanation on how fast reactors work?

What makes a fast reactor work without moderator? Is there simply more fuel to compensate or is it because U238 is better at capturing fast neutrons and becomes Pu239 so the fuel is self enriching to higher fissile concetrations?

Preferably with numbers like how many barns each isotopes have for fast and thermal neutrons followed by how the isotopes transforms inside the process.

Is it effective to issue pistols to riflemen?

Lets limit the question to modern infantry issued assault rifles and not WW2 bolt action rifles.

Have there been studies if a pistol or an extra magazine or grenade is better?

Is there special situations where pistol is more useful? E.g. counter insurgency with restricted rules of engagement and lots of CQB.

How do major countries issue pistols? Is there anyone giving every rifleman a pistol?

Do stainless feel less hot than "black" pans?

From a physics perspective black body emits more radiation than reflecting finish but I haven't experienced it until now.

I have always cooked with carbon steel or ceramic nonstick and just held my hand over the pan for temperature. First time using a stainless pan in a hostel I just let it burn dry like carbon steel. It felt like 150C/300F and refused to get hotter so I added some oil and flames erupted. My usual way with carbon steel is to do the same until it feels like 200C/400F but it usually don't even smoke when oil is added.

Also carbon steel usually smokes a bit and it's the perfect temperature to add oil. Stainless don't seem to give the smoke warning despite being hot.

Just checked with IR thermometer. It showed only 80C but putting in water creates leidenfrost effect.

CAP1000 vs Hualong One and CAP1400?

Why is China building both reactors that seems to fill the same role? Is there a difference in cost or safety between them? Like AP1000 can take a aircraft hit but Hualong One can't for the price of 500M extra construction cost. The first AP1000 was completed in 2009 while Hualong One is 2015, but China mostly built Hualong One the last 5 year but have 10 CAP1000 in planning?

Why are China planning more CAP1000 when there are already operational CAP1400?

Does LinkedIn suggestion look at your application history?

I have recently started applying for jobs on LinkedIn and have noticed an increase in recruiters contacting me from a completely different company.

Do linkedin suggest people that apply to jobs more often to recruiters when they search?

Public places with AC to hide from heatwave?

I don't have student card so university is unfortunately not an option anymore. Previously I have been at LTH on the hot days.

I do have summer ticket so close to train stations works too.

Preferably there is wifi and a desk to use laptops.

All I can think for now is malls like Nova/Triangeln/Emporia.

Would axis have controlled the Mediterranean and taken middle east?

Would Germany focus on the oil in middle east and propone Barbarossa to after defeating UK?

Can fast reactors be used to burn waste in a somewhat economic way?

Lets say that you are Xi of China setting up a nuclear power industry for the next decade. Your budget would be 1.5x the current Chinese budget and you have to output the same amount of power as the current plan.

Would it be possible to make nuclear sites where a few LWR feed their waste to a fast reactor for waste burnup?

How much less waste would it be per unit of generated energy?

Could the fast reactor be made to accept spent fuel rods directly without reprocessing? The waste could be in a mantle or like every nth rod if it can't work by itself. Or maybe it would be better to chemically separate the waste first and just burn the worst stuff.

How would the half life distribution be for fast reactor output compared to regular LWR? E.g. 10kg input uraniumn in LWR produce 10kg of 100 year HL waste while fast reactor produce 1kg of 1 year HL plus 9kg stable waste.

Is using google workspace vs microsoft 365 a good indication of company culture?

I have been to a handfull of companies big and small that use both and it feels like an accurate divider. Companies on google seem to value individual responsibility and workspace is just a tool for emails and meetings. Companies on microsoft on the other hand are more controlling and wants cogs for their machine. 365 is not only a tool for emails but a whole lifestyle where computers are centrally managed and standardized.

Are nuclear power plant operators scientist (PhD) or technicians?

Should the operators understand how xenon is produced depending on power change and exactly how the graphite tipped control rods work?

Or are they more like regular industry operators that basically knows too hot lower rod too cool raise rod.

Can FIA tell US and Soviet what direction their MoB is?

It is in FIAs interest to have their enemies rush each other and don't capture too many FIA bases. Would it be against rules to write that in all chat? From a milsim pov it seems inline with FIA strategy.

How does vehicle spawn supply work with FIA?

The map says the base have thousands of supply but vehicle spawner have 0.

For US/SOV it's usually the opposite where map says 0 supply but vehicle spawner have thousands.
