When reading about designs of rifles it's often stated they it operates like the old rifle to be familiar for soldiers. I guess an prime example of this is Russian AK series.

But is it actually hard to retrain soldiers? For example France switched from FAMAS to HK416, Germany G36 to HK416 and China Type 81>95>191. Did any of them had problems switching?

How about WW2 where lots of small arms where rushed into hands of troops? Did M1 carbine require much training or did troops just pick it up from the depot if available?

I built a PC with MSI gaming card for work that ran AI workloads 8h a day. Two years later when I moved the card the plastic was brittle and there was some noise when I shook it and small plastic pieces fell out. It still worked through and didn't have strange noise when running.

Is there a certain brand that have better plastics? Preferably not ASUS Noctua Edition even if I believe the quality.

Back in the days I worked with compiling a Linux based system and flashing it to an device. That took like 10min and I rolled my thumbs while it happend.

After becoming a Python dev there haven't been any compiling so I worked continuously except for meetings and breaks.

Now with Claude it feels like I'm back to where I write a prompt and wait 10 minutes to check the results again. Except that writing a prompt is quicker than the code and debug loop in C so I spend half my time in the rolling thumbs state nowadays.

Any tips on what to do those 5-10 mins without losing focus? even writing reddit post clears my short term memory of the job.

The only downside I had compared to 5 Blade razors is that you can't bring it on airplanes.

But seriously China basically stockpiles everything to prepare for the day when war with US erupts and all shipping get blocked. The biggest energy stockpiles China have is coal and that's why China hav so much coal power. They also developed processes like coal to fertilizer instead of gas to fertilizer just to prepare for situations like this.

What weapons causes the losses of T-34 before that? Was T-34 common in 1941 or where most tank older BT series?

This is a question to both Chinese and others, do you ask the police for directions or interact when not necessarily?

Putting all theory aside is there numbers on how it perform compared to LWR in the following areas. Lets focus on designs built between 1980 and 2000 and skip modern designs like AP1000.

1. Total cost over 20-40 years per unit of energy.

2. Uptime and reliability.

3. Amount of waste.

4. Technical lifetime and cost for extension.

5. Accidents. To be fair if Canada don't have earthquakes then ignore earthquake triggered accidents. Also probably not LWR as a whole but against water moderated BWR and PWR.
