Just visited Somewhere Different in Sheffield and had to share. It's an illusion gallery with a café attached, and it's a brilliant, quirky day out. The exhibits are clever, mind-bending and great fun (bring your phone, you'll want loads of photos), and it works for all ages.

The café is a proper bonus too: the tuna melt was fantastic, so it's worth coming hungry. If you're after something a bit different to do in Sheffield, I'd definitely recommend it.

I love the gold, but I’m going for Solar Watch custodes. So white armour with red shoulders and gold highlights.

I’ve found the gold a bit streaky and the red, is it alcohol based paint? It’s oddly sticky.

Looking for tips before I ruin my primed models. Might practice on a few test models first.

Time stand 34:40 onwards.

The guy falls back with his blade champ, off cover (at the end of his movement phase) so he can’t be over watched.

Can units not shoot through cover at all, even tho they can clearly see the unit?

£25 for two, seems light on the beef and heavy on the fat, silver skin.

I was neatening up the panels. Sprayed them with the Tamiya red and really love the bright colour.

Going over the edge with white primer then ivory, the ivory flowed really well, adding this neat thin line at the edge of the red. I kinda like it.

I was thinking of adding an orange oil wash to the edge, to make it look like the panels on the 40K grav tank on the website. It looks really bright at the edge.

What are my options to improve this?

Keep removing the seed pods by hand (and it’s a ballache) before mowing. But am I just removing the fescue?

Just want a uniform looking lawn, some parts have lots of seed pods and others have none at all!

Cutting it to 4cm and it’s still coming back.

Two excellent examples here, so far I have base coated mine white (ivory) and painted the panels red - do I now paint the fine line on top of the panels gold and then the top chunkier panel white?

Or do I leave the fine lines white and paint the chunkier top panel gold?

I plan to add some gold stencils to the red.

I’m unsure which way to go. Also have the blaze cannon variety, so there’s a finer outline on the top turret to consider too.
