Where can I find some detailed plans for building a kitchen bench/booth?

Looking to build an L shaped kitchen booth, all I can find is YouTube videos that are fast forwarded for some reason.

What’s good resource to find legitimate plans and schematics for building stuff out of wood?

There should be an unspoken rule that the newest player gets to try and figure out the puzzles and even destinations.

Joined a few servers on this subreddit and I’ve noticed some players who have done half or more of the game like to rush through the early puzzles and adventures and just tell people what to do, even had one player with some serious anger issues start yelling and cursing at us because we were goofing around a bit in the opening area… lame.

So maybe when posting an invite for players to join we could add a tag or abbreviation to indicate the newest player gets to try and figure out where to go and what to do first, at least with very little assistance.

New Player Guided? NPG? Newest Player Friendly? NPF?

I dunno just spitballing

Press space bar to begin. I’m using a controller and have no space bar…

What are my options here, I have a steam deck hooked up to a monitor I have mounted in front of my treadmill and I use two joycons to play games.. every other game just automatically switches to controller but even messing with steam input on/off I can’t get past the “press space bar to begin” menu when booting the game up…

Anyone know how to fix this?

Broken TB-03 midi in… can I jump from a midi thru box into another midi to usb host box then into my tb-03 without issue?

I have my Squarp Pyramid going into a midi split box but since I can’t use the midi in on my tb-03 I need to use usb midi… can I simply buy a midi to usb host box and then run that from the midi thru to the usb box and then into the tb-03 or will the jumping through boxes cause a problem?

Does this seem like a normal startup noise? Have trouble getting down to set temp. Thinking maybe the compressor or capacitor might be bad.

New house, I’m told the cutout on the back of the unit is for airflow in the basement, but this duct pipe in the upper left of the first photo is sucking air, is this a badly installed return and how bad is it to have it right next to the unit? (Basement)

New homeowner. What could be the point of the hole cut in the back side of the hvac unit in the basement be for? Safe to cover up?

Advice needed; cat makes better music than I do just by walking on the products. Should I invest in making her a Bandcamp Pro Artists page or wait until she has her own rig?

Freakin’ blew it. My first job as a self employed handyman went terribly.

So I finally got my name register and got insurance, had 150 cards printed up and started telling people I’m in business and accepting jobs. Been talking about this for over a year and finally pulled the trigger. Still working my full time 6am-2pm job.

First client: friend of a friend I consider a friend but don’t really speak with outside of gatherings.

The house: 1901 two story brick home.

The project:

Two old wooden windows with broken panes that needed replacing.

Deteriorating and falling brick in archway above back door.

Said I could definitely do the windows but I don’t have much experience with brick and I could do my best to save you a buck and get my first review.

The windows went good, I’ve done it many times before, no issues there, if it was up to me I’d have re-painted the windows and trim afterward to make it look really nice but that wasn’t asked so I didn’t press.

The brick went terribly, there was 5-6 bricks that had already fallen out of the archway and the remaining 5-6 were not looking great.

I built a temporary support, curved to the shape, and set it in place then started cleaning out the loose mortar that would get in my way when resetting the bricks. All done and ready to mix mortar. I didn’t think to ask about a water source so I had to go inside to get water from the kitchen sink, I bring my water back out and start mixing, realize I’ve mixed it too wet, should have used two buckets and added the water to the mortar, as is the correct way, instead of the other way around (I should know better, literally just retiled 150 square ft of flooring in my basement and used this exact method).

Too bad, now I gotta run and get more mortar and two new buckets and take a breathe and do this correctly.

I go to remove the temp support so the owners dog can get outside, remove support and down comes all the rest of the archway, no obvious signs of failure before but it just all completely fell out along with a trash bag full of 1901 blown insulation. Fuck. Okay I’m I’m just gonna have to rebuild the whole archway.

Clean up the mess and let the dog out, dog runs over to my bucket of super wet mortar and starts putting his head into the bucket like he’s going to drink it. Freak out for a moment and push dog away and pull bucket at same time spilling super wet mortar all over back steps. Nice.

Clean that up with water I have to keep getting from a very slow kitchen sink tap. All good.

Go to leave through side gate and dog runs out past me, dog is now in the middle of a busy street staring back at me looking scared and confused. Holy shit. Spend 15 minutes trying to figure out how to coax dog back into safety, no reaction to treats, no reaction to niceties. Did I mention the home owner was away on business and they had a pet sitter at the house? So this dog did not know what the hell was happening. Finally get dog to inch closer and closer by filling his bowl with food and peanut butter and tugging him along until we could get a harness on him and bring him back into the yard.

At this point I had a bucket full of stiff mortar, a dog tied up right in the work area that refused to go inside, and no certainty that I could safely rebuild this archway (there was definitely some kind of serious leak behind the brick and even if I did the job well that leak wasn’t going away, the house is fairly old and could use a lot of different kinds of maintenance).

I got my things cleaned up and packed into my truck and called the homeowner and told him I’m sorry but I can’t do this archway, it’s turned into a way bigger project that is beyond me. He said it was fine and he has a mason that he spoke to before that gave him a price but now I feel like a total asshole because the guy will probably increase his price while cursing my name.

I totally fucked up by not being firm with my limitations up front and it’s an absolute bummer and is making me reconsider this whole thing. I don’t even know if I’ll be getting paid for the windows and I’m already out $100+ into materials between the windows and the brick (had to buy some tools and things for the brick work).

Anybody else fuck up this bad before and continue on successfully?

I look and feel like a totally smacked ass right now.

Help out a guy who got his first side job? There’s no way of doing this without some kind of temporary support until the mortar dries, is there?

Oh no… won’t start since this happened. Gameboy screen shows up sometimes with Nintendo logo below and sometimes without but it never gets to loading the game… any idea?

Extension spring on right side of garage door sheared the screws off that were holding it in place (I was not in garage when it happened, luckily). What is my best bet on removing the other spring that still has full tension on it?

I’m assuming just pull the emergency lever on the garage door opener and then lift the door and clamp it open to remove the tension, then simply disassemble the spring, wheels and cable…

I used to do garage door installs but it was always torsion spring and these old style springs spook me a bit, don’t want anything too dangerous to happen when removing it.

I’ve got plenty of tools (I own a small handyman side business).

Any tips or advice appreciated!

Oblivion remaster was a massive letdown, I had to put it down after a few hours.

Is skyblivion supposed to release this year? Is there a beta we can play yet or is it totally unavailable at this juncture?

Just came back to Oblivion Remaster after putting it down last year because the game was running like hot ass shit and I figured let’s be patient and wait for the patches…

The game is STILL not patched!? I can’t believe I spent money on this unplayable piece of shit. They just totally abandon their games now?

What the fuck man.
