Idk ever since I’ve seen this interaction between Vegeta and Gamma 2 I wonder how Tails would react to this line (since he’s known as a sidekick)

I made a cursed thing.

I know Rayman fans often complain and cope that the Rabbids are more relevant then Rayman but this isn’t the only time we see a spin off series take off into success and somewhat leave the main series to dust. Here are some examples I have.

Shaun The Sheep (Wallace and Gromit)
After Loaf and Death Wallace and Gromit wouldn’t have another movies for several years until Vengeance Most Fowl and Shaun would take over most of the series around that era.

Puss In Boots: (Shrek)
Puss was the character who debuted in Shrek 2 and since then he’s been a very popular character. Having 2 movies and a series on Netflix

Peabody and Sherman (Rocky and Bullwinkle)
These two originally were a segment in Rocky and Bullwinkle but Dreamworks eventually made them their own series with a movie and tv series.

Tinker Bell: (Disneys Peter Pan)
During the mid and late 2000’s and early 2010’s Tinker Bell was sort a semi mascot for Disney other then Mickey Mouse. She has her own tv series, movies and merchandise. She was everywhere back then!

Rabbids: (Rayman)
Nuff said here. They were originally Rayman spin off games starring Rayman as the main host but then he was removed after a few more games and The Rabbids had their own series with a TV show on Nick and etc. Rayman still has some games here and there but not as much attention from Ubisoft compared to the Rabbids.

Updated Honorable Mention: Minions from Despicable Me and Persona from SMT

I guess you could make the argument Fury Bowser is now “Canon Giga Bowser” if you want and I love Giant Cat Mario’s design. I’ve seen some many Nintendo YouTubers and clickbait gaming sites say “SUPER SAIYAN CAT MARIO!” Or something like that.

I was watching Did You Know Gaming video on Street Fighter and this guy is an unused character in Street Fighter II. Was this guy ever used in future games. (The commentator claims this concept art is a “ripoff” of Kenshiro from Fist of the North Star.)

There’s not a lot of information about the alt Colors/costumes in the game. One has Ken in green, one that’s dark blue (based on his early appearance in the anime) and a dark grey with blue hair for some reason. If someone can find this Billy Lee alternate outfit for Ken in this game that be great!

Just thought I share this with the community. If only Nintendo would listen to the fans but they don’t.

LuigiKid introduced me to this one. The sprite looks absolutely amazing and I like how the level design changes compare to the OG and the story is nice too. (Kinda feel bad for Nana honestly)

Not to mention if Worlds End With You can be in Kingdom Hearts alongside Final Fantasy then I don’t see why Dragon Quest can’t be in it especially considering HOW HUGE Dragon Quest is in Japan.

Believe it or not Disney has other video game franchises besides Kingdom Hearts. If any one of these could be in Smash Bros which one would you want?

Mighty The Armadillo:
This one is obvious. Aside from me loving his design and species. I remember mistaking him for Sonic when I was younger. Not only does he look like Sonic but he plays identical to him too since SEGA wanted him to play like Sonic in his debut title. (Like SEGASonic or Knuckles Chaotix as well as more recent games like Sonic Mania)

Ray The Flying Squirrel:
Pretty much Mighty’s version of Tails Ray also debuted in SEGASonic arcade game and plays practically identical to Sonic and was intended as such. it wasn’t until the Archie Comics and Sonic Mania when they started to give him unique abilities (like gliding) plus I love his design and it would be cool to see more of him.

Espio the Chameleon:
This one will likely be controversial but I have my reasons for including him. For one he was in Sonic The Fighters *the game that Sonic’s Smash Bros moves is loosely based on* and he had some of his moves in that game like with the horse kick. Also in Sonic Heroes thanks to its Tag team gimmick he’s the Chaotix equivalent to Sonic and has the homing attack.
Ermerl: (honourable mention)
This one is a lot more stretching but he does copy Sonic’s moves from that game (as well as others)

Metal Sonic:
While Metal may have a lot of unique abilities on the series that’s ONLY when he’s a boss! If you look at his PLAYABLE appearances (like SADX, Sonic The Fighters, Sonic 4 Episode 2, Sonic Adventure 2 multiplayer) he plays EXACTLY like Sonic moves and all. I think he would be a cool Echo Fighter especially for the whole “Heroes Vs Villains” aspect of it.

Perhaps maybe after Toei is done adapting the Moro and Granola arcs they should do Jaco next similar to what they did with Sand Land. I feel like Jaco should be adapted since it’s a prequel to Dragon Ball and Toriyama himself wrote and drew it. Jaco and Tights are also in Super so it would be a nice if they would properly introduce them via adapting their manga that they came from. As well as seeing those scenes with Goku and Grandpa Gohan get animated as well. Since Toriyama unfortunately passed and how Dragon Ball is still having its 40th anniversary I feel like Toei and Capsule Corp Tokyo SHOULD do it at some point in the future for some future anniversary or something as a tribute to Toriyama. (And that Jaco is important to modern Dragon Ball lore)

As mentioned in the title Popo and Nana were indirectly mentioned in the first movie via a news headline were they stopped some vegetable thieves and there are some other Easter eggs to the game in both the first and second movie so it’s possible that THEY ARE in the Mario cinematic/Illumination universe. My only concern is if they DO appear in future Mario movies I really hope they do something unique with their personalities and not jump onto any fandom headcanons like “Ice Climbers are siblings” (which is actually not true btw) or “Ice Climbers are kids” considering how a majority of characters in the Mario movies are adults I feel like Popo and Nana should be adults as well (especially with them being Ice Submit mountaineers) anyway that’s it.
