Is it just me or did my music line up weirdly well here?

Like it isn't the craziest accidental music line up I have seen but it was kinda sick especially the beginning.

What soulslike should I play next?

I just finished beating Lies of P's Arlecchino on Difficulty 5 and I am realizing I have that craving for another soulslike (my backlog of games is going to rot at this point lmao). I have played Bloodborne, Sekiro, Nine Sols, Hollow Knight, Hollow Knight: Silksong, Another Crab's Treasure, Lies of P, and Elden Ring to name the ones off the top of my head. I know three of those are also metroidvanias but they have (hollow knight excluded in terms of hard bosses) hard bosses and soulslike elements especially Nine Sols with it's Sekiro style parry combat. I have also played DinoBlade but that was a silly joke game I only mention it since it is in fact a soulslike I played.

The soulslike games on my wishlist are Black Myth Wukong, Dark Souls 3, Wuchang Fallen Feathers, Stellar Blade, and The First Berserker Khazan. In general I play these games almost exclusively for the bosses since the general level design of soulslikes while fun is not enough to carry an entire game like these imo which is why I am totally ok with linear level design while others may want more non-linear level design. Also the stories generally are not told well and therefore are usually a non-factor for me like Bloodborne, Hollow Knight (not Silksong), or Elden Ring. However if one of the games on my wishlist or another you would recommend does have a great story that is well told like Nine Sols, Silksong, Another Crabs Treasure, or Lies of P then please do include that information along with your recommendation as all of my all time favorite games with few exceptions have excellent stories. Also I generally prefer parry based combat but if the game does not have that it is not an issue as I still loved shit like Bloodborne.

Is it weird that Arlecchino was my first boss I beat on D5?

Mainly I'm wondering how many other people actually decided to try and beat him on D5 before any other one. I only decided to cause he is my favorite video game boss ever and also the hardest and I wanted to prove myself lol.

I hate subreddits that don’t let you comment images or videos

There really isn’t much else to add, it just removes my ability to make some fun jokes with images or videos and I hate it

Silver build thoughts?

I made this a while back but updated it just now due to the spirit burn rework a few weeks back. The whole idea that spawned this build is I thought it would be cool to proc spirit burn when you go into wolf form. It's mainly spirit with some gun thrown in to help with your ult and to do a little extra dmg when not in ult like with express shot.

What is your absolute tiniest irritation you have with Deadlock?

Mine is that minion pathing is really strange sometimes and it causes me to miss a minion like 5 times in a row and it really gets under my skin when it happens.

Why is Siffrin unable to be full from food?

He always says when eating at the beginning and throughout the game how the food doesn't fill him up and he is constantly hungry but why would the time loops affect how hungry he is?

I hate ZackDFilms comment sections

I like his actual shorts yknow they’re goofy fun but the comments on the shorts are so annoying and unfunny that I make an active effort to never open the comment section on his shorts.

Does anyone else not remember much about fighting Eigong?

For some reason I just can’t remember how long she took on my first playthrough or if I got upset with her difficulty while learning. It’s like my brain just blurred it all out. I remember fighting her for my true ending playthrough and that it only took 5-10 tries since I already had practice and was generally much better but for some reason my memory of her or even most of the bosses my first playthrough is a blur.

Should I get Start Again: A Prologue?

I just finished In Stars and Time and saw this and I can't decide from the trailer or reviews if this is worth getting or not so I would like peoples opinions.

How to do the "I've been seeing myself in the House" and "I saw a weird shade" quests?

In act 4 and just got Odile to find out I am looping in time and now need to figure out how to get these two. I have absolutely zero clue for the seeing myself in the house quest and I only know of the one book in the secret library that talks about colors so I have no idea where else to go to progress that quest.

Is it just me or does this game not cancel the fast forward during a lot of new dialogue?

No spoilers since I am still in Act 3 only but I was fast forwarding after picking malagna fritters to eat again and Siffrin said to themselves that they are quickly losing their shine and that they remember their parents scolding them for eating a bowl of them in a heartbeat and then their head begins to hurt and time rewinds slightly to Sif saying they are losing their shine again. I had to use my clipping software and go frame by frame to read that new dialogue because I realized something new happened but the game did not stop for me to read it. Why does it do this? This has happened a lot and while they technically are not the most important things it still sucks to potentially be missing new dialogue because I don't wanna sift through an hour of dialogue every single loop.

How to do the "Odile is suspicious of me" quest?

I am about to do the secret quest with her and the stylish bow thing with Mirabelle to interact with stuff in the house to hopefully get her more suspicious of me and then interact with everything I possibly can in case anything raises her suspicion of me but I am making this post preemptively in case this does not work but if I am doing this correctly just let me know or let me know if I am missing something.

How do I get Isabeau to confess at the end?

I just beat the king after helping everyone and now we're all family and he said he didn't wanna tell me before we have a feelings talk so is it impossible for him to confess if I help everyone and if so what do I need to do to get him to confess and have bonnie not interrupt?

I would kill myself for Bonnie

This is my goat. They are super duper awesome sauce. This is the truth.

Side Note I have not finished the game so no spoilers if you comment

u/Open-Advisor6819 — 25 days ago

How do I complete the "Bonnie was reading a book" quest?

I found the book and got the dialogue about them hating me but how do I speak to them about it again? And if I could be informed without spoilers that would be great. For extra context on where I am at I just beat the king for the very first time and spoke to Loop but I have not spoken to anyone else yet. I am going to bed after I post this so unless I decide to doomscroll before bed I won't see or respond to any answers for like 12 hours lol.

This is oddly specific but is there a mod that lets me one shot enemies?

I want a mod that lets me one shot enemies but not bosses. The amount of enemies you have to deal with with weird pathing so it's hard to get by is genuinely starting to make me tilt. I don't wanna one shot bosses tho cause I wanna actually prove to myself I can beat them but with regular enemies who tf cares I just want them gone.
