I’ve really fallen in love with the armor look of the death guard, so I’m wondering for people who’ve done it, was it an easy process to deplauge them?

I’m more so specifically asking if it wasn’t too hard to fill in / shave down the larger mutations like the mouths on the bodies.

Was hoping people who’ve done it can share their process!

Edit: I wanna clarify for everyone since I worded this wrong for the advice I was looking for 😂. I’m trying to de-plague them but not de-chaos them, it’s mostly just the larger mutations I want to get rid of like the big mouths, some of the more corrosive holes in their armor and anything directly nurgle related.

For my comically pirate chaos space marines Land Raider. I plan on putting a Flying Dutchman like maw on the front, with a nice decorative rear of a galleon like ship.

No gun on this ship will be unmanned:
I plan on having 2 guys with las cannons on the side “doors” (see nightlords terminator 😂).
A captain shouting orders at the back, or posing for effect.
Middle guy manning the large frontal cannon and aiming it.
And finally some sort of Necron swabbing the deck. Debating having a man coming out of a hatch shouting orders at the cannon guy.

I want this to be more of an art piece than anything as with everything else in my army, and I think it’ll fit right in with my Brigantine Predator

Very simply compared to my others, it was a nice refresher to be satisfied with simple models for once instead of taking apart the same mini over and over because it didn’t look right IM LOOKING AT YOU RAIDERS (The new raider kit has been a nightmare for me, such a cool kit, and everything I try to do looks out of place 😂)

But here they are, my terminators for my comically pirate warband!

Not too sold on the railings and “sail” on the champion but itll do for now

I’m kind of rocking with it if it wasn’t modeling for disadvantage like nuclear bomb vs coughing baby.

So the gloom tide shipwreck is even better than I thought!
Was gonna use the shipwreck and kitbash two rhinos out of it (taking off the back to put on one and using the front hull for another) but holy crap is this thing much bigger than I thought.

It is now going to be used for a display board and terrain piece because it’s so awesome. With future plans of getting another one to combine with a land raider.

I just need to 40k it up with some chaos. Thinking of making the figure head look like the emperor and desecrating it!

Has anyone else done something with the shipwreck? I’d love to see it!

As the title says: Are there other one off xenos models?

I want to know all the weird little xenos guys GW has put out over the years!

I don’t care if they’re out of production this is more of wanting to know what’s out there as I’m putting together a Chaos Pirate force that I want to have a lot of Xenos in rather than Demons!

By order of the Inquisition, I am DEMANDING to see all Xenotech in use by all Astartes serving in the long vigil.
Those who fail to declare and document their Xenotech will be declared Excommunicate Traitoris and subject to being fed to [REDACTED]!

I made a post yesterday about finding a good helmet for Huron, but this made me realize I would very much like to repose him, has anyone done this successfully?

I really want to try and get a good walking forward pose like in some of the first artwork I’ve added to this post and I’m wondering if anyone has done something similar!

In my efforts to turn the Tyrant himself into a custom character, I’ve discovered that in my vast collection of heads this is the best one I’ve ever seen put on Huron.

The xenos species discovered by Ahab, nicknamed Xenonids by him, are somehow related to Tyranids but completely disconnected from the hive mind.
Their adaptability remains however, and with enough tranquilizer can be modified into true engines of war.

The Forge Kraken is his latest creation, with a ScreamerCrawler on the assembly line.

As the title says, looking for the best kit for getting as many little sea creatures as possible. Frankly any kit with a lot of ocean like basing bits would be great 🙏
I have a CSM Pirate army and I find myself in dire need of tiny plastic sea creatures! Some of my kitbashes attached so you can see kind of what I’m going for.
Really trying to capture a sunken feel for my guys so any recommendations are appreciated 🙏

Those who’ve seen my work on here know I enjoy a good Xeno To Chaos Kitbash. This screamer killer has been sitting on my shelf collecting dust since leviathan. So it’s time he was born again.

He’s gotta be crab related, I just finished a forge fiend kraken and I need more sea creatures! But before anyone says DEFILER, I like that kit too much to kitbash myself one before having the actual kit.

I’m leaning more towards Vashtor or the Venom Crawler
But I figured since the sizing is kind of there a cool xeno demon prince or helstalker could work too.

Wanted to get some community input on it!

Just as the title says I’m on the west coast of Florida wondering what the hell these are, saw them a few weeks ago in my bathroom, did some googling and thought they were the subterranean type so didn’t worry too much, but now they’re back.

I’ve been trying to find ways to achieve a wood texture without painting (too tedious) or use supergluing a bunch of stir sticks onto things. Has anyone had any success carving up styrene or finding a similar textured item that’s easy to work with?
For reference I want to use it on my 40k vehicles as my guys are pirate themed (see attached photos for references)

Some of you may know me as the green sprue goo guy, I’ve been told it’s a good way to spot a kitbash and know it’s mine 😂

Included in this post besides the first photo is my Abaddon Kitbash, Fabius Bile Kitbash/proxy as well as a Xenos homunculus for him, and a custom Dreadnought converted from a venerable dread

Usually after a big project I like to take a break and swap back to another faction like my normal space marines or mess around with weapons, not the case this time around.
I’ve knocked out a dreadnought, my Fabius Bill Proxy, and now I’m right into this Forge Fiend Kraken!

Need some thoughts on how to make it look more alien tho, it’s meant to be an indoctrinated xenos rather than a daemon and I think I’ve steered too far into the dark mechanicus with this guy for my taste.

It’s meant to be an elder of my custom xenos species, that gives me an excuse to use tyranid models since I like their minis but don’t want an army of them, and I need to find ways to bring that feeling into it

I’m very proud of him and wanted to share him here since he technically was an iron warrior.

I play a red-corsair-esque force and I wanted something interesting for my Fabius Bile as I’m trying to challenge my self to have named characters without using any of the named character kits. So for example: I can’t make a Fabius bile with any parts of the Fabius Bile kit. And I think I’ve done a decent job at that.
