Do people tailgate in your country?

Do people tailgate in your country?

Tailgating is an American tradition "where fans gather in stadium parking lots to eat, drink, and socialize before a sports game or concert." It is highly associated with college-level and professional American football, but also happens at other sporting events, festivals, concerts, etc.

Attendees socialize and play games like cornhole, beer pong, horseshoes, ladder golf, etc. Some people play music, set up grills to barbecue, or even hook up TVs to the back of their cars.

Alongside alcoholic and soft drinks, common foods cooked/eaten at these events include bratwurst, hamburgers, hot dogs, buffalo wings, baked beans, steak, pizza, sliders, coleslaw, potato salad, chips, etc.

Do people tailgate in your country? If so, how is it similar or different to American tailgating?

I have thick, mucky white paint all over my 115yo house. Is it worth it to remove all this paint and go for a wood look?

The wood underneath various parts of the house - handrails, baseboards, doors, etc - are either a chocolate brown wood or a honey oak wood.

[Sad trope] A character who dies fighting a family member.

Rachel from the Animorphs dies during a suicide mission to mercy-kill her cousin, as ordered by her other cousin (who is the leader of their group).

The Animorphs were fighting a war against a mind-controlling alien race. The targeted cousin was mind-controlled with no hope of escape (and an important enemy asset), so the suicide mission was a last resort.

In the Game of Thrones TV show specifically, Sandor Clegane or "The Hound" dies while fighting his zombified older brother, Gregory. Sandor tackles Gregor off a tall wall's edge and they fall to their deaths.

Did your country's creation, actions, etc. harm the region's indigenous people? If so, who?

The United States displaced and eradicated countless Native American tribes, shown in the top left of this collage.

The collage above shows examples of persecuted/displaced indigenous groups from around the world.

To help those who've been confused by the term "Old Stock" American -

Every time I see a post about this type of ancestry, it feels like 50% of the comments are beyond confused about what it means.

I hope this helps!

[29, 5'5" and 150lbs] My BMI says I'm overweight but I feel fine ... however, I also felt "fine" at 210lbs

After having my first child, I reached 210lbs and didn't realize how big I was/looked. I honestly thought I looked average ...

1.5 years later, I'm down to 150lbs. These photos were all taken in the past 3 months.

My BMI (25) is tripping me up.

Any OG warriors fans (2000-2010s)?

I first started reading the Warriors books in 2008, when I was in 5th grade. Seeing the series progress, the announcement of the new TV series, the videogame, etc has been so bittersweet.

I'm a grown married mom now, but somewhere in me I'm still Pebblefur the blue-gray ThunderClan warrior. 😭💕

Are marching bands part of your country's culture(s)?

Marching bands are an iconic part of American culture, performed at sporting events, parades, military events, and even weddings/funerals (in places like New Orleans).

Are marching bands part of your country's culture(s)? Or can they be found in your country?

How might one turn this linen dress into a Ren Fair outfit? What would you add, wear, etc?

I'm open to any and all ideas. I think this dress has a lot of potential and I don't plan to wear it til fall.
