No offence, but these three easily had the most punchable/slappable faces and characters in the show

Full credit to the actors for playing their roles to absolute perfection, but watching this show for the first time tests my patience every single time.

Between Dhritarashtra's selective blindness and constant victim card, Shakuni’s greasy smirk with that annoying "Mere bachhe", and Duryodhan throwing full toddler tantrums whenever things don't go his way, the urge to reach through the screen is too real.

Appreciating Pooja Sharma’s portrayal of Draupadi in Star Plus Mahabharat (2013)

Hie everyone, I recently started watching the 2013 Star Plus Mahabharat and am currently on Season 9, and WOW! I am absolutely captivated by Pooja Sharma’s performance as Draupadi.

What stands out most is how her character balances profound grace, purity, and kindness with uncompromising strength and a sense of justice. One moment that completely blew me away was her confrontation with her father, King Drupad. Standing up for her sister Shikhandi, arguing that Shikhandi deserved recognition rather than her brother, showed her moral clarity and courage, even though Drupad ended up exiling (nishkaashit) Draupadi for speaking the truth.

What makes Draupadi so special here is that she isn't just fierce; there’s this genuine warmth, kindness, and purity in her demeanor that makes you root for her instantly.

That sequence and the episodes that followed were so intensely written and performed that I couldn't take my eyes off the screen. And Pooja Sharma brings so much soul and grace to the role. Her screen presence, expressions, voice modulation, she just is Panchali on screen. I was genuinely glued to the display during that entire stretch of episodes.

For anyone who’s finished the show, did this part of her arc stand out to you as much as it did for me?

Posted about watching Mahabharat as a woman, this is what ended up in my DMs. Absolutely disgusting.

I made a post here recently discussing the 2013 serial and Karna’s character arc, mentioning that I'm a muslim (which I edited shortly after posting) watching this for the first time, heck I didn’t even mention that I was a woman anywhere in the body.

Shortly after, I opened my inbox to explicit rape threats, vile abuse, and harassment from this lowlife (attached screenshot).

I've already reported the account directly to Reddit admins for sexual violence and harassment, but posting this here so other women in this community are aware of what kinds of degenerates lurk around. It’s genuinely sickening that simply engaging in a discussion about an epic brings out this level of filth.

Please be careful with your DMs and report this creep if he reaches out to anyone else.

Watching the 2013 Mahabharat for the first time, why does Karna hate Arjun this much?

Hie everyone, I’m currently watching the 2013 Mahabharat (currently on the S6) and this is my very first time experiencing the epic.

For a bit of context, I don’t come from a Hindu background myself (though my mom was Hindu/Kshatriya), so a lot of these character arcs and deeper dynamics are completely new to me.

Something that's really bugging me is Karna’s intense angst and hatred toward Arjuna.

I completely understand why Karna feels wronged and bitter toward Dronacharya and society at large for the discrimination and rejection he faced. From what I’ve observed, Dronacharya clearly had his own personal motives, he seemed to favor and groom Arjuna specifically so that Arjuna could one day defeat King Drupada (Shikandi’s father) and settle Drona’s old personal score (fron my understanding, i can be wrong obviously).

What confuses me is, why direct so much personal venom at Arjuna?

Arjuna didn't ask Drona to treat Karna (or Eklavya) the way he did, nor did Arjuna create the rigid social hierarchy of that era. Why does Karna hold Arjuna personally accountable for Drona’s favoritism and the unfair cards society dealt him? Is it purely about proving he’s the superior archer, or does Arjuna just represent everything Karna was unfairly denied?

Would love to hear how people who know the story better.
Thanks in advance!

Reposting after CarsIndia mods deleted my post

This is Tehseen Poonawala, a citizen who actually decided to do something about the e20 shit storm that the govt. is ruthlessly imposing on all 1+ billion of us.

There was a good momentum going in his movement, but the CJP movement overshadowed it a little bit. Just a few hours ago, the police have put this dude on house arrest. I think that's absolutely draconian. If we want to stick it to these blood sucking leeches that have been elected into power, this guy is our best hope. He's articulate, he's fair in his arguments and he's sacrificing his time, resources and energy.

I urge you to rally behind him. Follow him, comment on his posts and share content around what he's doing. This is our last hope. If he decides to step back then we'll have to just go back to making Reddit rant posts about how our vehicles are going to shit. So please, get active in your support.

ITV Actresses from the 2000s-Mid 2010s who defined an era & I severely miss seeing on screen!

Growing up in the 2000s and early 2010s, Indian television hit completely differently. The screen presence, grace, and sheer versatility of these actresses made us tune in night after night with our families.

Was feeling super nostalgic today thinking about the prime era of Indian TV! Made a quick list appreciating some of the finest leading ladies and iconic performers from the 2000s and mid-2010s who I miss seeing regularly on TV.

Special Spotlight: The Absolute Icons

- Pooja Sharma (Draupadi in StarPlus Mahabharat)
Her portrayal of Draupadi remains unmatchedc she brought incredible grace, fierce dignity, and powerful emotional intensity to the screen, especially in the Cheer Haran sequence, making it one of the most iconic performances in Indian television history.

- Jennifer Winget (Saraswatichandra / Beyhadh)
A true chameleon of ITV, transitioning effortlessly from the quiet, ethereal elegance of Kumud to the haunting, captivating intensity of Maya, proving her sheer range and star power time and after time.

- Surekha Sikri (Dadisa in Balika Vadhu)
A titan of acting who gave us a masterclass in performance, she balanced strict authority with deep, tender warmth, single handedly lifting every scene she was in with her unforgettable presence.

- Rupal Patel (Kokila Modi in Saath Nibhaana Saathiya)
She turned Kokila Modi into an immortal pop culture phenomenon with her legendary voice modulation, sharp screen presence, and iconic dialogue delivery that defined an entire era of family drama.

The downfall of Jacqueline Fernandez needs to be studied. From being everyone’s default FB profile picture in the 2010s to soft p* roles

I was thinking about Jacqueline Fernandez’s career trajectory, and oh boy, her downfall is one for the history books.

Back in the 2010s, she was everywhere. Her face was literally the default Facebook DP/wallpaper for half the internet. She was delivering back to back viral chartbusters like Chittiyaan Kalaiyaan, had the backing of big superstars like Salman Khan (Kick was huge for her), movies like murder 2, where her role might’ve not looked impressive on paper, and even the audience genuinely loved her lively onscreen presence. She even had viral international crossover moments, like her famous photos with Amanda Cerny. At her peak, she had insane popularity and mainstream visibility.

I mean fs she was never a good actress. But in Bollywood, strong screen presence and charm can carry you a long way (if Katrina Kaif could build a decades long career despite limited acting range, Jacqueline definitely had the same blueprint available).

So what actually went so wrong?

Here are my two cents:

  1. The Sukesh Chandrasekhar / Conman Saga: The ED investigation, expensive gifts, and public PR nightmare completely ruined her brand value. Major production houses and mainstream brands distanced themselves almost overnight.
  2. Bad Script Selection & Pivot to B-Grade/Soft Content: Instead of reinventing herself or taking supporting roles in big films, she transitioned into forgettable OTT projects and questionable B-grade/soft-erotic content.
  3. Lack of Acting Growth: While the industry shifted toward more performance driven roles in the late 2010s, her acting never improved, making her easily replaceable when younger starlets came in.

It’s crazy to see someone go from A-list commercial queen to almost completely irrelevant in a span of a few years.

What do you guys think was the ultimate turning point for her, was it purely the legal controversies, or was her decline inevitable once the "glamour girl" roles dried up?

Where can I buy a case/cover for snowsky retro nano?

Basically the title. I just got mine today (Love it) but I’m disappointed, snwosky should’ve included a case or a cover in the box. I have checked on headphoneZone. India, amazon, etc but couldn’t find anything. I need a carrying case/pouch for my iems and nano.

My partner & I switched to IEMs together (wan’er SG 2),but I’m struggling with severe discomfort + underwhelming sound while he’s totally fine. Normal beginner phase or wrong fit? Also, Bluetooth DAC advice needed!

Hie everyone,

So, last month my boyfriend and I decided to finally take the plunge and switch to IEMs together. After doing a ton of research, we ended up buying the exact same pair, the Tangzu Wan'er SG 2 (twinning karna tha).

We’ve been using them for about a month now, and our experiences couldn't be more different:

- The Fit & Comfort: While my partner has absolutely no issues and finds them super comfortable, I’m really struggling. After wearing them for a bit, they start feeling incredibly uncomfortable and almost painful for me. Is this a universal beginner thing that everyone goes through when switching from standard TWS/earbuds, or am I just overthinking it?

- The Sound: I didn't find the sound quite mindblowing, whereas my partner is completely mindblown by them. I’m definitely not a bass head, and to my ears, these Wan'er SG 2 feel a bit too much on the bassy side. I've already tried multiple EQ profiles to tweak it, but nothing seems to fully hit the spot. On top of that, the soundstage kind of sucks to me, everything feels a bit too boxed in.

Should I give it more time for my ears to adjust, or is it possible the shell shape and tuning just don't suit my ear anatomy and preferences? (If anyone has tips on ear tip rolling or fixes, please let me know!).

Also, current Bluetooth earbuds literally died yesterday. Since my phone doesn't have a Type-C port or a headphone jack, I’m thinking that instead of investing in a whole new pair of BT earbuds, I should just pick up a portable Bluetooth DAC/Amp to use with my IEMs on the go.

- What budget friendly Bluetooth DACs do you all suggest that are easily available in India? I’m thinking of going with the echo nano or retro.

- Are there any good wireless alternatives (like Bluetooth earhooks/modules) that I should look into instead?
