How to come back from burnout?

I’m 33F, got dx back in November with AuDHD. I’ve been a SAHM since 2021. I have 3 kids, two are school aged and a 3yr old toddler. Summers and school breaks are very rough for me. School is starting back up tomorrow, so I’m *hoping* it will get better. But, we are moving to a different state in a few months. We don’t have much help right now, just my MIL occasionally watching the kids for a date night. But, once we move, we will be completely on our own. I had a hard time trusting people for child care, and I’m afraid I’ll won’t want to hire someone. I rely heavily on my husband for my social interactions and relief from overstimulation and melt downs. Afternoons are very hard for me, and some days I have to lock myself in a dark and quiet closet for relieve. I think doing this all summer has caused me to become pretty depressed and burnt out. I’ve aggravated and irritated from the moment I wake up, until the moment I fall asleep. I rarely smile anymore, and nothing seems fun and it’s hard to concentrate on most things. It’s normally hard for me to wake up in the mornings anyways, but it has become harder. I’m afraid it won’t get better once school starts. I’m afraid I’ll just get worse after the move. I have been in CBT for a few months now, but honestly, I don’t think it’s helping me. I also have a prescription for stimulants, but I don’t feel like they help much, either, so the point of where I just stopped taking them. I tired different kinds and doses, but only vyvanse 30mg seemed to help, but only occasionally. This also happened with antidepressants. Nothing seemed to help much. I believe my issues is my life circumstances. Which is why I’m in CBT, I was hoping it could help me chance my outlook and thinking patterns to hopefully appreciate things in life more, and learn to be happy and more involved with my kids. But it hasn’t really done much. Idk what to do anymore and I just feel lost.

I want to cry. Is ETD why I have such sensitive ears??

I know the pictures aren’t the best, I used an ear cleaning tool with a little camera to take these.

I’m 33, and after years of having sensitive ears, my PCP told me it looks like I have ETD. I was in denial at first because I am AuDHD and also have PMS issues and it’s always worse around that time of the month. They told me they could refer me to an ENT, but I’m moving states soon and can’t be seen before then, and there will more than likely be a wait when I move. I just don’t understand why I have this issue. They said it’s prob allergies, but I don’t always have a runny nose or other allergy signs?? The only thing I can really think of, is that there’s a genetic thing that runs in my mom’s side of the family where sometimes the babies are born with either fully blocked or missing tear ducts. I don’t have this issue. And I haven’t always had such sensitive ears. Since I’ve been off birth control or haven’t been pregnant or breastfeeding for the last year, it has gotten much worse. I’ve worn ear plugs to bed for about 15 years, but I now have to wear them during the day and even sometimes with ear muffs. I do have 3 loud kids, and summer has been very rough for me. The dr recommended I try plugging my nose and blowing out through my nose to pop my ear drums, or try allergy meds. Neither helped. So I’m not sure what I need to do now. I’m tired of being on the edge and crying from the pain and discomfort. 😢

Are my front teeth chipped or is this just normal?

As far as I know, they’ve always been there. Someone pointed it out recently and I told them I think it’s just how they are and they told me no they’re definitely chipped. I’m 33F.

Why are people so against the HPV vaccine?

I’m 33, but I never got the vaccines because my parents heard that it had awful side effects and didn’t work anyways. I hate that they didn’t get it for me. I don’t plan on having any new sexual partners (I’ve been with 12 guys in my lifetime, but have been with my husband now for 15 years and he’s the last one I’ll ever be with). I was recently tested for hpv as an annual checkup for obgyn. I tested negative for the serious stands I guess, but that’s all they tested for. I’ve been thinking about it since, and I can’t help but feel like I got so lucky to not catch the serious strands of it. My kids are now getting older, and everyone I talk to about it says to not get it. Obviously, when the time comes, I’ll ask their doctors about it, but there’s still a few years until then. I live in a very red state, and antivaxxers are abundant where I live. Can I get advice from professionals on here? Where can I find more info about it? Thanks.

Brown recluse, right?

I live in Arkansas. I’ve always been told that these spiders are brown recluses. Every single home I’ve ever lived in, has had them.

Clitoral adhesion?

I’m 33F. I’ve had 3 kids and more PAP smears and vaginal checks than I can count. No one has ever said anything to me about it. I’ve always felt like my clit looked funny, but after watching a reel about clitoral adhesions, I thought “wait.. that’s what mine looks like and I have those symptoms”.

GLP-1s help slow digestion, help with diarrhea from bile salts??

I had my GB removed in 2019, after I had my first kid two years prior. I had diarrhea every day until I got pregnant again. Had the baby, and it came back after 6 months. Got pregnant again a few years later, diarrhea went away again, and recently came back after stopping breastfeeding. I am now on Cholestyramine 4gm, that I take a night to help absorb the bile overnight until I eat breakfast. If I take with breakfast, I usually still have diarrhea. But, now that I take it at night, I am constipated. I drink 80oz+ of water a day so I’m not dehydrated. I was wondering since I am about 10-15lbs overweight, and have a strong family history of type 2 diabetes, if GLP-1s would help with all of these issues. I’d like to see if anyone has taken it, and has helped with diarrhea from bile salts?

Should I tell my sister her bf is playing gooner games?

Sushi Bake I made last night, and eating for breakfast. (Recipe by Alissa Won on insta!)

My (33f) half sister (20f) has been with this guy (36m) for about 2.5 years now (she just turned 18 at the time, she’s about to turn 21 in a few months). They met online playing COD around the time she turned 18. It’s been a huge deal in our family. My full blooded older sister (34f) and her got into it and now they no longer talk. My older sister thinks he is a pedo, *supposedly* he had a 14 year old living with him before they met. She had also messaged his mom and talked to her about it and she says it’s true. But, he claims his mom has mental issues and makes things up. She moved to a different state to be with him. She told everyone that he can’t have kids for whatever reason, but we all called bs. Of course, she got pregnant and they had a baby girl last October. I’ve tried to be supportive and open with communication, i don’t want her to feel like she can’t come to me if she needs something. My dad and step mom are doing the same. We know if she gets pushed, she will just cut us off and be even more isolated. My husband plays games, and he is friends with her BF on a gaming platform, has been for a while now. But, last week, my husband called me into his office and told me to look at what he found. My husband likes to see what his friends play and look at their wish list to see if he can buy them games or see if anything looks interesting to play. What he found is MULTIPLE gooner games. Some of them are so degrading and just straight up creepy af. He’s been playing them for a very long time, and is still playing them. Y’all, HE EVEN REVIEWS THEM. It is the cringiest sh!t I’ve ever seen. Some of the games are VR as well. I highly doubt that my baby sister knows this. And if she does, I can’t help but feel like she doesn’t like it. Obviously, I don’t know, but even if she was okay with it, I feel like this just further shows what a f@cking creep he is. This feels so much more gross than someone watching porn. Games, you actually interact with. I seriously hope he isn’t playing that crap when he’s watching their daughter. I don’t know if I should tell her. I know it’s really not any of my business. And, it’s so awkward and embarrassing. Anyone on her bfs friends list can see his games and reviews. I’m just disgusted.

EDIT TO ADD: a gooner is someone who obsessively masturbates to porn. He’s playing porn games. Like gross, degrading, porn games.

EDIT AGAIN: I messaged my older sister about it. I don’t know she had messaged that then 14 year old and asked her about the relationship. She said she was 14 and had a horrible home life, and he was 26. She said she left him when she turned 18, he was abusive and had anger issues. Oh, and she knows of one other underaged girl that also was involved with him. She can’t access her old messages with him. So there’s really no other way to prove it’s true. Idk if my younger sister knows about this.

I’m so tired of either having diarrhea or being constipated.

I used to have diarrhea every day before I started taking 4mg Cholestyramine once daily. Yes, I would rather be constipated than having horrible cramps and diarrhea. But, it’s not exactly comfortable either. I’ve tried cutting back and taking 3/4 of a scoop to see if it would make me less constipated, but nope. Diarrhea. And it’s not like I eat greasy, fatty, or sugary foods all the time. Sometimes I could just eat a banana and blow my a$$ out. I’m going to see if I can get in with a gastroenterologist soon because this is affecting my life in a negative way, and hopefully we can figure something out to help me. If anyone has any advice or suggestions, I would love to hear it. Thanks for letting me vent.

6M, used a drawing app to draw these

He’s 6. Very hyperactive and easily distracted. I’ve never seen him so calm and focused than when he was drawing these! I’m also artsy, so is a lot of my family, so maybe he gets it from us.

Tired of my husband touching his penis and balls in front of me and others.

I get that guys need to itch or adjust their junk. Doing it for a bit is fine. But to sit there around people and mess with your stuff for longer than 5 minutes is just inappropriate and gross, idc if it’s just me and our kids. If I were to mess with my labia and vulva like that, I would be called a pervert. I get uncomfortable and itchy sometimes too, but I go to the bathroom and take care of it and then wash my hands, idcccc if I have discharge or not! Sure, yeah, men don’t get discharge. But they still pee, still sweat, still get shit particles on their stuff and let it all hang in or on the toilet bowl. But sure, it’s only gross if women do it, bc “ew discharge”, like women just have it 24/7 their entire lives. 🙄

I’ve told him plenty of times in our 15 years together how I feel about it. He usually just stops and says okay or washes his hands. But today, he snapped at me after I asked him to stop. I didn’t reply and just got up and left. Do it in private like every woman has to. Wash your hands after. This is something so basic, and everyone learns it before they go to school. JFC.

\*\*I will not argue with ppl in the comments that condone it. It’s nasty and inappropriate imo, if you want to touch yourself in front of others and not wash your hands after, and touch your
family and everything in your house, go ahead, but this is my opinion, and I’m tired of asking him to stop. I’m about to just take my kids and myself out of the living room and go elsewhere when he does it. I do not want my daughter thinking it’s okay for grown men, family or not, to mess with their junk when she’s around, as well as my sons to think it’s okay to do it when others are around. If you think I’m overreacting, scroll on. I’m here to vent, and maybe gain some advice on how to handle the situation without condoning that behavior.

Northwest Arkansas to Southern Orlando Fl?

I’m going to put the TLDR here, as I tend to yap;

Family of 5 moving from Northwest Arkansas to Southern Orlando area for husbands work relocation, I’m a SAHM with three kids, two school aged. Wondering about good neighborhoods and good schools or if I should homeschool. Looking for a great PCP. Two kid are in Speech Therapy, one is in PT, so recommendations on those would also be great. Base salary 85k+15k bonus, worried about HCOL area and not making enough. Thanks.

I’ve lived in Northwest Arkansas for my entire life. Im in my 30s and married, we have 3 kids. My husband works for a major retailer, and he just got a job near the southern Orlando area. Im a SAHM, two of our kids are school aged and we do not pay for childcare. I’m also native and pay very low in healthcare, so those are not too much of an issue for us financially. His base pay will be around 85k, and about 15k in bonuses and more in stocks. I’ve have read that Orlando is a HCOL area, and I’m worried that his income alone will not be enough. We currently live in a M-HCOL area for Arkansas, we aren’t much of a touristy area but we are experiencing a huge boom in population so everything is going up and housing is very competitive and expensive here as well. I like Florida for vacations, but it gets so hot and humid there. I wasn’t too happy when I found out about the job. I like where we live, and we don’t have much of a village, but it’s still something, VS when we move, we won’t have anyone we know to visit or help with babysitting when we need a break. I’m AuDHD and I do take stimulants, and I’m worried I won’t be able to get the meds and the care I need, as well as my kids who probably need to be evaluated themselves. I’m worried that we won’t find a good PCP as well as wait times to be able to even get one. I love my family Dr. now, he is very kind and understanding of my issues. So, if anyone has a great recommendation for a PCP in that area, please lmk! Also, where are the good neighborhoods and school? Our hope is that we can go back to NWA in a few years when/if he moves up in his career. Of course, we hope we do love it in Orlando, but I have a gut feeling that it will just be temporary. So, I’m not sure if going to a new school for a few years would be good for my kids, or if I should just suck it up and homeschool them. Any advice is appreciated!

Picked for 6 hours. I’m going to be miserable when my kids wake up in a few hours.

I’ve had a picking problem my entire life. When I hit puberty and started getting acne, it’s when it started to get bad. I’d spend hours in front of the mirror doing it. Lately, though, it has gotten worse. I have 3 kids, rarely get breaks. Now we are about to move over a thousand miles away, and I’m so nervous and stressed about it. I have AuDHD, and sometimes I cannot cope with the stress. Sometimes I have a breakdown in the closet, other times I stay up all night just zoned out and picking. My face is swollen and red, my back is killing me, my neck hurts, etc. I can get so focused on doing it that it’s literally like a time warp, before I know it, it’s been many hours. I hate knowing I have blemishes on my face, and I also have a lot of black heads and sebaceous filaments. I’ve tried many different acne treatments, but nothing works. I’m too afraid to be judged by a dermatologist to seek help.

If you’re neurodivergent, what do you do to ease the urge to pick? Any advice is welcome.

Are my teeth as bad as I think they are?

Are my teeth as bad as I think they are? Braces/Invisalign needed?

I’m 33F. I had braces for around 3 years in my teens. They don’t pull teeth, but I feel like maybe that should have? I hate that they are flared out, like a horses teeth does. My teeth have been a huge insecurity for me. My mouth is small, but my teeth are huge, especially my front teeth. I also have pretty large cavities on my molars and I also have two crowns, one in tooth #18 and #21. I also wear a bite guard because I clench my jaw and have cracked molars and hence the back crown needed. I think my pallet is also too narrow, but I’m too scared to have it corrected because I was told adults have to have major surgery to fix it. I’m not sure if I’m able to have my teeth aligned again, especially since I have so many large fillings and crowns. I’m wondering if anything, maybe I can have my front teeth shaved down a bit? I feel like I look like a beaver. Thanks. I live in Arkansas USA if that matters.
