My sister just got diagnosed with hypercalcemia after she got a panic attack and her heart rate too up. She is a chain smoker, drinks every weekend, and smokes weed from 5+ years. Age - 31. Just give it to me straight.

Why has this issue occurred suddenly and what could be the cause of it ? The doctor has also told her not to take stress as it might cause her heart rate to go too up.

2025 Grad working as L2 Linux Admin for Cisco client — confused about what path to take next

I’m a 2025 graduate currently working in one of the WITCH companies as a Linux Administrator for a Cisco project/client. My role is actually L2 support, not L1, and I’ll be handling Linux/Unix servers, incidents, escalations, troubleshooting, etc.

The thing is, I took this job because I was unemployed for 6+ months after graduation and honestly got desperate. I didn’t want to sit idle anymore, so I accepted it.

Now that I’ve joined, I’m getting really confused about my future path.

I don’t think I want to stay in support roles long term. The thought of doing pure support for years is kind of bothering me mentally. At the same time, I know the experience is still valuable and I should probably learn as much as possible from it.

Academically I’m pretty decent and I can study seriously if I decide on a direction. My DSA is already decent, so one option is:

- grind Java + DSA properly,

- try switching into backend/SDE roles after some time.

The other option is:

- continue leveraging my Linux experience,

- learn Cloud + DevOps + automation,

- move toward DevOps/SRE/Cloud Engineer roles.

But I keep hearing mixed opinions. Some people say DevOps/cloud is difficult for freshers unless you already have strong experience, while others say Linux admin experience is actually a good starting point.

So now I’m stuck between:

  1. Java + DSA + backend development

  2. Cloud/DevOps/SRE path

I’d really appreciate advice from people who started in support/infrastructure roles and managed to transition into better technical roles later.

What would you do in my situation?

Is this pcos ?

I also have acne (the painful cystic ones) and irregular periods. Sometimes I have brown discharge for days. But my weight and hair is fine. I do exercise 3-4 times a week and is currently on a diet.
