Can I apply for my RamCard during orientation?

I'm having trouble accessing RamPix and I'd rather do it in-person. Is that something I do on my own time or will there be a slot allocated during orientation?

The baggage sizer is smaller than what is listed on the website.

I posted/ranted earlier about this same issue, and I guess it was bad luck that I got picked to check my bag size. It didn't fit in the sizer, so I paid the fee. Fine. But, when I got home, I measured my bag, and it was within the size maximums listed on their website. My bag didn't even fit width-wise in the sizer. When I got home and measured it, my bag was 39cm wide, 1cm smaller than what was on the website, yet it didn't fit in the sizer. Why do they provide different dimensions on their website when the sizer at the gate is smaller? I'm just upset that I got charged 70 euros, despite my bag being within the dimensions on the site.

If you're ever flying out of JFK, Boston, or Orlando, JetBlue base economy is pretty good, relatively speaking

And they have free Wi-Fi, free drinks, free drinks.

EDIT: They also have a big presence in Miami

Compliant carry-on there isn't compliant on the way back.

Got charged 70 euro because my bag was to small even though it was free on the way here. My trip to Amsterdam was an A359 and A320 and the way back will be an A320 and A346. There was plenty of space inside when boarding was done and plenty of other bags that were the same size as mine that were in the bins. Why did I get charged?

Will my 125v 2.5a work with a 230V outlet?

I have a Dell laptop charger. Sadly, the sticker peeled off but I assume the brick can accept 230v. But, the Mickey mouse end of the power cable says 125V 2.5a. Dell says the charger should work intentionally but the cable voltage is what's worrying me. I've seen conflicting answers on this sub.

Do I need to change phone information?

I got my ZFold5 roughly 2.5 years ago and my Verizon plan still says I have my older Pixel 7 Pro. I bought my Fold unlocked because I don't want any carrier bloatware. Should I change my phone model in my Verizon account?

DEN9 Questions

With the new DEN9 fulfillment center, I have a few questions regarding the presence in Northern Colorado.

  1. How will Northern Colorado be serviced differently?
  2. Will drone delivery be prioritized?
  3. Will we see the Rivian Vans around Northern Colorado?
  4. On the Satellite View, Rockwell Avenue seems to have future plans to extend west into the airport. Does this mean Amazon will use KFNL for cargo ops? Purely speculation but I could see KFNL decommissioning runway 6/24 into a taxiway and a cargo facility being built north of it.

Pre-order the Pasta in Economy

Last time I flew LH economy, the FAs did not offer the pasta, despite the online menu saying it would be an option. So, to ensure I get the pasta, I want to pre-order the pasta. When I go to the Culinary Journey site, it shows the menu but I can't click on anything. My flight is on Tuesday. What am I missing?

30x digital zoom with a 3x optical lens on my phone but it was incredible in-person. The amount of detail you could make out was crazy. Even the FedEx guy pulled over to take some pictures.

I should be able to fit lying down in the SoloSuite, sleeping corner-to-corner, but I might have to bend my knees a bit. The Roomette Bunks have a minimum length of 77in, but those beds are rectangles, so I don't see me fitting well. The highest-class Bedrooms they have, have shorter beds too because the run perpendicular to the walls.

Within my week of using it, I just don't see why it's better than Windows. I miss Windows. (Rant incoming) I dislike having to select Linux everytime during startup, I miss Active Pen (that's why I dual boot), Edge runs terribly and the animations are slow. (Maybe FireFox will fix that), the UI is so much more busy and chaotic compared to Windows. I find search a little more intuitive on Windows, sometimes. (A reg key disables web results) On Linux, you have type in exactly what you're look for. Example: typing in Trackpad does not show any results because it's actually called the touchpad, two very very similar things. LibrePresent is unusable (my cursor is stuck on the paint bucket), so I use PowerPoint, I'm turned off by how heavily everything relies on the terminal. On Windows, I look up a font, download it, and click install. With Linux I have to know the exact package name and memorize the commands. Pressing space on the lockscreen to show the password box, enters space as one of the characters; having to press enter after typing in the password, ALT-F4 does not bringing up a shutdown dialogue; dragging a window while holding your finger at the edge of the trackpad does not continue to move the window, snapping windows does not bring up other windows that could fill the space (you have to manually select the window, and then drag it to snap it.), my Dell fingerprint scanner doesn't work, screen brightness controls are not very accessible when I am in tablet mode. I'm sure there are more that I can't think of. The only thing that I've liked is that my battery lasts longer. Maybe most of the things can be fixed in settings.

I noticed the Entrance/Exit fonts got refreshed recently, from a bolder all Caps font, to a lighter font with just the first letter Capitalized. Are there more elements to be refreshed? I really think the blue hanging signs, like the one that designates where customer service is, needs a refresh. It's looked the same for ages.

I mainly signed up to get rid of the popup to sign in every time I open the app, but I also plan on flying LH next summer overseas. Anyway, this service card intrigues me. It says, " Show your (digital) card when paying in stores." What stores? I will be in the Netherlands this summer with layovers in Munich and Frankfurt.

A little bit of a rant here but also a discussion, maybe I'm missing a perspective.

First, my thoughts on image gen: Why does the average person, even a student or employee, need to access a platform to generate a picture of a photorealistic human being? There are thousands of images online of consenting humans, that are there for the purpose of stock images, to be used in context for projects or presentations. So why? Why do you, why do I, need to ever access photorealistic image generation of human beings? If you want to see yourself in different scenarios (at the park, in a dress, in a different haircut, etc.), fine, that can be done in an environment that only you have access to, with guidelines that strictly prohibit results that result in yourself being unrecognizable. To do so would require strict verification though. I would like to emphasize the word "photorealistic." If you want to generate a family in the style of an animated cartoon, great. That fools nobody in thinking those characters are reels and will do significantly less harm that photorealistic generation. Photorealisitc images of scenery or made up creatures is also fine, but, that will never justify being able to generate photorealistic human beings. I feel similar to AI voices. I can see someone wanting to have something to talk to but is it really worth offering that tool when it can also be used to replicate someone's voice for malicious purposes?

Text generation: Why does ChatGPT and other AI models specifically ask to do your schoolwork for you? When I ask it for help for ideas or a basic outline for an essay, why does it even consider writing a full essay for me to turn it? Specifically saying that it will be used for academic work. That is literally plagiarism. None of those words are yours. So why does the average person need access to a software that generates a 5-paragraph essay? Emails, fine. To-do lists, fine. Stories, ehh, a little more debatable but for non-commercial use, fine. Explanations for schoolwork, fine (Asking for help on understanding a concept or creating flash cards for a test.) Now, you may be thinking that this could be a great tool to make the workplace more efficient and I agree. That's why it should be paywalled, just like any other software used for commercial services (using their software to make money). Windows 11 Pro, a drone license which gives you the right to make money, a program used to design houses for profit, etc. Why should ChatGPT be any different?

I'm not against ChatGPT or any other AI model, I am against what they allow the general public to do with their model. I think it's incredible what AI has been able to produce and I applaud the work of every dev behind it.
