What to do with a sort of working Apple 2c?

I just got an Apple 2c from my grandparents who were going to throw it away. When I insert a disk, one of three things happen. 1. I get a message saying it's unable to load prodos. 2. I get a message to check disk drive. 3. I get nothing but the Apple //2 Title up top. Is it worth fixing and selling?

Our daily ridership may not be great, but having the infrastructure for large events such as the 4th is pretty awesome and convenient

From the main show, half of those buses goes to/from Colorado State University. The other half goes to the Downtown Transit Center which is where our BRT begins. This is like proper BRT too with a dedicated guideway once it gets out of downtown. That runs every 10 minutes using 60ft buses. There are roughly 5 parking lots along that BRT which get pretty packed. The first BRT to leave once the first round of shuttles gets to Downtown, is packed, shoulder-to-shoulder. I didn't take them this year since I biked but if I remember correctly from last year, the buses also got police escorts. The shuttles are special and only take that route for the 4th but besides the frequency, the BRT uses the same buses on the same route as it would any other day.

Even with all this, there are still plenty of people who would rather sit in traffic on two lane roads for 40 minutes in their car

Why don't more countries have ADA-like standards?

When I went to Germany, France, UK, and the Netherlands, I noticed a lack of accessibility standards in places. The ones that stood out to me the most were the lack of handrails and the lack of crosswalk accessibility. Look at this bike intersection in the Netherlands. It seems like a nightmare for a wheelchair user or a blind person to cross. The slight ramps that do exist are very narrow and steep and don't have the bumps that American crosswalks have. The crosswalks don't have timers either. Maybe I'm cherry-picking examples here, but I remember seeing many more examples. When I was at a train station (Intercity in Amsterdam), I instinctively reached for a handrail, because in America handrail height and distance from the wall is standardized everywhere, only to find that there was no proper handrail.

Are PedSafety and Polara related brands?

I noticed a different crosswalk button in my city than all the other Polara APS buttons. This one was made by Campbell. The arrows on the buttons look nearly identical to the Polara APS buttons. On the ADA compliance map, they are listed as Polara Navigators despite them saying Campbell on the button housing.

There are FS2004 assets in the FS2020 folder structure

FS2020\Official\OneStore\fs-base\texture

You can find a texture for the Orbit Airlines 737-400 and some livery for the 747 although oddly enough it is named MD-80f. What fictional airline is that? And they're named as Scenery files. Are they leftover or are they used in some secret place?

4th of July City Park Transportation PSA

I've seen some posts on here about the best way to get to/from city park on July 4th. I thought I'd promote the special free service that Transfort offers.

From their website:

MAX Service

  • MAX will have 20-minute service from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. and 10-minute service from 5 p.m. – midnight.
  • Last Southbound departure from the Downtown Transit Center (DTC) at 12 a.m.
  • Last Northbound departure from the South Transit Center (STC) at 11:33 p.m.

Free Shuttles to the Fireworks

  • Shuttles from CSU (Moby Parking Lot) and the Downtown Transit Center (DTC).
  • Shuttles to City Park from CSU and DTC will begin at 5:30 p.m.
    • Last shuttle to City Park from CSU and DTC is at 9:10 p.m.
  • Shuttles will resume from City Park to CSU and DTC at the conclusion of the fireworks display.

I found their service to be very convenient, especially at the end of the event. They have like 6 or 7 of their 40ft buses lined up to go to Downtown and another 6 or 7 to go to CSU. Those buses get escorted out to CSU and Downtown. On the way back, the shuttles and the max are shoulder-to-shoulder with zero space to spare, so if you're claustrophobic, you may want to take a later shuttle and a later MAX.

There are stations that have designated parking. The South Transit Center and the King Soopers on Drake/College have the most parking spaces. There are 6 designated spots west of Troutman Station that are only accessible through the neighborhood, so they might be empty. There are also spots on the east side of Troutman Station that are more easily accessible. The church next to the Swallow Stations also offers MAX parking. Unofficially, the AMC next to Horsetooth station has a pretty big lot that is almost always empty. I don't know if anyone would be monitoring that lot for people who parked for the MAX. Same with the Target Parking near Troutman Station. Whole Foods on Spring Creek Station has signs that disallow MAX parking.

Hopes this helps a couple people!

Eating during a movie at the Theater

When is the proper time to eat your snacks during a movie? When I'm at the movies, I wait until the movie starts to eat my popcorn and/or candy. But then, it seems like I'm the only eating and I feel like I am disrupting the theater if I make the slightest noise trying to eat. Paper bag crinkling, candy box ripping, plastic candy bag crinkle, the sound the popcorn makes being ruffled around the bag etc. I try to be polite by waiting to open my candy during a loud scene like an explosion so no one hears the crinkling, but the plastic still makes noise during other parts. (silly, I know).

Constantly getting new Apple Devices connecting to my network

I will be changing my password later but I constantly only get Apple Devices that aren't mine that connect to my WiFi. Never a random Android or Linux, never a Windows or game console, only Apple Devices. Is there a reason for this? Only one family member has Apple products, an iPhone and a Macbook, but sometimes iPads, Watches, and newer MacBooks connect.

MX Master 4 Horizontal Scroll Wheel is glitchy/unresponsive when wearing gloves

This sounds really bizarre. I wear gloves to help me stop biting my nails. My horizontal scroll is either unresponsive or laggy when I use it with gloves on. When I'm using my bare hands, the scroll wheel is fully responsive and has zero issues at all. I can see the wheel move when my gloves are on (I can see the groves moving) and the scroll is still hit-or-miss.

Here is a video of my issue https://youtube.com/shorts/CmgVdGvSbk4?feature=share

How common is it for sales to switch to warehouse

At our store, it seems like 1 in every 6 sales new-hires would rather work warehouse after their first 2 weeks. Some make the switch months into their career, and some try to switch asap. Is this common anywhere else?

[OC] Caught a Lufthansa A380 cruising at FL360 over my house

My FlightRadar24 Silver Subscription is really paying off. When I get the flight alert that an A380 or 747 is over city, I run to the backdoor the same way by cat does when she sees a squirrel. lol

Green shirt parade

Yesterday at around 4:30, there were so many people with green shirts pouring out of the LSC. What was that about?
