Horrible input lag playing on 'SteamOS'

Trying to play H2A campaign on my NUC running Bazzite. It can handle the game graphically for sure, and the controller is perfectly responsive in the system menus, but in halo the input lag is unbearable. Even on keyboard, it's more than a full half-second of delay for every single input. How do I fix this?

FSR2/3 upscaling shader?

Is it possible? If so, does it exist already? I'm sick of so many games not having an upscaling option (and lossless scaling which only has FSR1 which is pretty bad) on my 4K monitor.

Why don't we got Tower or DarkRP yet

add both of these and bonelab would be unstoppable as a vr game

also, are there any mods that improve the UI? Scrolling text-only list menus is kind of really annoying

Where to download every flash game? NOT FLASHPOINT

I want to set up Flash games in a RomM server. I tried Flashpoint Archive, but it's kinda janky, its server is Windows-only (and the launcher itself doesnt work which gives me little faith in the server anyway), the Flash SWF files are mixed in with other weird webgames that romm doesnt support, and they're all individually zipped which is annoying as hell to deal with.

Is there a torrent out there that's just, every SWF file ever, non-individually-wrapped, for easy RomM integration?

How do I get Shelfmark to transfer somewhere else after downloading?

I can only seem to get Shelfmark to download a book somewhere and then be done with it, but CWA needs books to be transferred to the cwa-ingest folder to be imported, and this has to happen after downloading I guess, according to the docs.

What do I do?

How do I recursively extract all this?

Screenshots of the folder/file structure.
It goes:

ROMS/
├── Platform/
│ ├── Game1.zip/
│ │ └── Game1.rom
│ └── Game2.zip/
│ └── Game2.rom
└── Platform2/
    ├── Game3.zip/
    │ └── Game3.rom
    └── Game4.zip/
        └── Game4.rom

I want it to be:

ROMS/
├── Platform1/
│ ├── Game1.rom
│ └── Game2.rom
└── Platform2/
    ├── Game3.rom
    └── Game4.rom

How can I make that happen?

start-flashpoint.exe does nothing

I downloaded Flashpoint Ultimate, extracted everything, and I'm trying to run start-flashpoint.exe inside the Flashpoint Ultimate folder. It doesn't do anything though, nothing in the background in task manager even. What do?

Calibre-web-automated: database locked

I've got CWA running thru Docker on a regular machine, but the books and ingest libraries are in an SMB network share. Regardless of whether I have SMB mode on or off, I cannot auto-import books downloaded from Shelfmark. I get the following error every time:

[ingest-processor] filename for the book I want was not able to be added to the Calibre Library due to the following error:

How can I fix this? I've yet to find a comparable and easy-to-install alternative so I'm kind of stuck here.

Trying to get CWA with Shelfmark running. I download a book with Shelfmark to the ingest folder, and then I get this:

What can I do to fix this? I know NAS support is iffy but I have no other option. I'm not interested in alternatives to my NAS.

It started when I installed NordVPN onto a server and connected to it. I HAVE SINCE UNINSTALLED NORDVPN! I AM NOT CONNECTED TO ANY VPN ON ANY DEVICE.

When I try to head to https://www.asusrouter.com/, which is how you reach your Asus router's settings dashboard, I get ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED. I can still log in through my IPv4 default gateway, but I think this problem with the domain name is causing some problems for a server I'm running as well.

I checked the router settings and there's nothing for DNS. My own client DNS cache is flushed and this error persists across multiple devices. Factory-resetting the router didn't fix it

Used RHI to automate the process of getting RenoDX set up. Looks great for the most part, but when I walk to certain areas it's like the sun disappears and the peak brightness goes way down. What could be happening here?

Looking for any fun PCVR games that support at least 4-player multiplayer (but can work with down to 2 if need be) which are cooperative, or just co-habitative, of any kind be it shooter campaign, exploration, puzzle, driving, whatever. I know of tons of PvP VR games of every kind but I can count on only one hand all the non-pvp multiplayer VR games I know of.

When I try to filter only 'Ready to Play' games in my library in BPM, it only shows me games installed to my device, despite streaming being an option, "ready to play should include streamable games" is enabled in the Steam library settings, and it works properly in desktop mode. What else can I try??

I've heard that there are programs that can sorta convert SDR content to something more HDR-adjacent clientside, like Windows 11's AutoHDR for games, but for videos. Can Jellyfin clients do something like this? I'm an HDR addict and I'll suffer no paperwhite suns any longer.

What are the dimming zones like in each of the Pimax headsets that support local dimming? Is it FALD or something else?

reddit.com
u/CrimsonCuttle — 20 days ago

A few headsets either have some kind of OLED panel, or an LCD that's capable of local dimming, but what is there in terms of actual HDR in VR games? Can Windows 11's AutoHDR support VR?

I haven't been in the loop for a while. Is there anything new and reasonable to hold my breath for when it comes to proper wide FOV headsets? Something to the level of a Pimax P2.

Last I heard, there was the Meta wide FOV prototype they might mess with for whatever new headset theyre making, some prototype from a company I don't remember the name of looking for a manufacturer from a CES demo that used like 4 screens, and the Pimax 12K which is uhh probably never coming out.

Anything new that I can keep hope for the future of VR?

I was playing VR the other day and noticed an abject lack of ghosting, despite being, presumably, a flat S&H display. What do most VR headsets use to achieve this, and are there any monitors that have the same panels as the VR headsets? If not, why not?
