FFUUUUCKK, I meant to take a photo of Spidey but instead just got some random guy!

Look, don't judge me, alright. Someone in the crowd yelled "It's Spider-man!" and I immediately jumped to the front door. How was I supposed to know he was talking about the window?

But still, poor this guy, am I right? The dude must be so confused. Imagine just walking out of a hospital after who knows how long at the EXACT same time a giant crowd starts cheering and chanting Spider-man's name. If it were me, I'd definitely be thinking "Shit, am I Spider-man?"

An underrated aspect of the "Waking the Dragons" arc is that it's the only arc where it feels like Joey is utilizing Red Eyes to its full potential.

For being constantly marketed with the card, Joey didn't use it all that often. He pulled off some pretty decent moves with it in Duelist Kingdom but it always feels weird to count those rules when they were so loosey goosey with the rules. Then he lost it when they started doing actual rules for the Battle City and Virtual world arcs, and he only got to use it in one of two duels in Kaiba's Grand Prix, and it was the one he LOST.

But in Waking the Dragons, Red Eyes is the key to victory against not only Rex Raptor but Valon as well. It was even used pretty decently against Mai, though he didn't win. It finally felt justified for Red Eyes to be treated like Joey's Dark Magician.

Why do people always use Tom's Ferry scene to compare with SM2's train scene when this scene is right there?

It's even from the same dang movie.

Remember when this episode felt like it took a wrecking ball to the fandom and then it was practically never brought up again?

Like, this was kinda insane, right? We're not given any more context to Greg and Amethyst's relationship beyond this episode leaving so many questions, plus how Greg and Amethyst barely interact beyond this episode. To be fair, it's not like Greg and Pearl had too many significant interactions after Mr. Greg, but Mr. Greg had been the resolution to this underlying tension that had been there for years. Meanwhile, Lil Butler introduces this entire new dynamic between two characters that most didn't even consider, produces some of the most realistic and ugliest tension in the show, and then it all vanishes almost just as quickly.

That's not to say this is a bad episode or that it shouldn't have existed, this is still one of the most powerful episodes to come out of the show and goes a long way in making the characters feel like real people. It's just that thinking back on it, I'm just surprised that this didn't have a bigger impact on the larger arcs of Greg and Amethyst.

What an uptick in quality after the last two episodes, holy cow.

I had a feeling it was gonna get back on track but not to THIS degree. The animation quality of the fight scenes were phenomenally hype, and I can't tell you how excited that makes me for the finale when Clark gets back into the picture. I didn't think this could top anything from Clark and Henshaw's final confrontation in Episode 5 but this got damn close. And the picometers separating them is just my love for the character work of Clark and Henshaw.

New Jonathan is a bit of a brat though, even by traumatized future kids standards his angst levels are. bit jarring especially since we have the first Jon to compare him to. Like yeah, dude, go on about how your future is SO much worse than the first one when you didn't even know the first one, and make sure to do it in front of your SISTER who you were just told didn't even EXIST the first time. How do you think it's supposed to look being spiteful that your DAD is alive?

Also, there's a solid 50/50 chance that the Eradicator becomes Doomsday. It's already way more like Doomsday than the eradicator of the comics. And it's whole thing is "evolution" the same as Doomsday, and with the time watch he can even fo back to the beginning of Krypton or even the beginning of time to progress its evolution even further and become Doomsday.

Has Thanos Rising been retconned over the years.

Because I’ve finished reading it and it contradicts nearly everything I’ve heard about comic book Thanos online. I’ve been told that Thanos is a whiny incel whose unwanted advances disgust Lady Death. But here, it was technically Death that came onto a young THANOS, essentially GROOMING him into being her perfect monster. Did people just not like this story? Has it been retconned by a Thanos clone or a revelation that he was crazy all along?

Can I just say, of all the Mane Six ships to become or at least implied to be canon, AppleDash would not have been my first guess.

Was it a super popular ship back in the day or something? I just don't remember the two of them having that many stand out episodes aside from the one where they were always competing with each other to the point of cheating. IMO, if they were going to imply anything RariJack would've made way more sense as they had way more memorable moments together, and I don't even ship any of the girls.

Fanfiction.net is broken what do I do? (AO3 is not an option.)

The majority of my audience is on fanfiction.net, but for some reason no matter what I do, new documents just refuse to be uploaded to the doc manager. Without that, I can't post new chapters. I've tried all the different suggestions of formats from docx to pdf to html, I've tried copy-n-paste, and none of my file sizes exceed 5MB. The website is just broken, and that's not even mentioning how the traffic graph just doesn't work anymore.

And this has been going on for a MONTH. The last time I submitted a report to their support email and they did JACK. And it's still a problem! AMTA? Am I the only one with this problem because of crappy internet or something? How has it gone on this long?

Last time I got around it by copy and pasting into an already existing document. But that's not only not a long term solution, my writing style has me italicize certain words and sentences to emphasize them. If I do that, I have to recomb through the whole thing and re-italicize and re-bolden everything.

Not even copy-n-paste works, WTF?

Like AMTA? Is there something wrong with my internet or something? This is such a genuine roadblock for a month how have they not fixed this?

To anyone else wondering what the "Hunger Dogs" mentioned were.

So in the other timeline, it seemed that the citizens of Apokolips are the ones that invaded and killed Clark.

Does anyone else feel like this any time someone complains about the "retcons" in UAF?

Yeah, magic being real was the only substantial retcon that actually mattered. And the writers themselves didn't like it and undid it is season 3, NOT Omniverse.

I love OV, but I hate its fans that act like its retcons were just fixing what UAF did. It didn't, it just created dozens of unnecessary plot holes.

It's kinda crazy to me that "The Full Moon" isn't rated at least in the top 10 on IMDB.

Because in my opinion, it's kind of the perfect episode of the show. Some episodes prioritize either humor or characterization with one falling away in favor of the other. Full Moon I feel strikes a really good balance with the plotline revolving around DHORKS and the Cherub's encapsulating the show's humor perfectly while also being just some of the best jokes the series has to offer. Meanwhile, the emotional climax and Blitz and Stolas finally confront the problematic nature of their relationship not only pulls at the heartstrings but it's also believable and in character for both.

It even shows off the action of the series well with the fight between the Cherubs and I.M.P. with some stand out moments for each member, which is also another plus. No member of the main cast feels ignored or shoved to the side, so fans can still get their fill.

Like, it's no "Truth Seekers", but I still think it's some of the series' best.
